And Nick Dickinson is one of the witchiest of witches. And available for readings at The Cauldron Black. I have gone to many different readers, and of course everyone has their different styles, but Nick is my "go to" for divination when I need to cut the crap and hear what the cards have to say. This person has a really impressive background and deep relationship with the tarot and is a talented, masterful reader. My divinations with Nick have been spectacular- on point, clear, WILDLY accurate. You truly do not need to say a lot or give tons of context for your question - he does not seem to want a lot of exposition- so maybe go in knowing what question you want to ask and just let him do his thing. You can book online at The Cauldron Black's website (for VERY reasonable prices btw, especially considering the depth of knowledge and history they have as a reader, wow). He calls on time, no chitchat, keeps it super professional, neutral and boundaried. I am usually offered a choice of decks and he sends a photo of the spread so you can follow along. Also he keeps the reading to time, in a really skillful way. And of course he leaves space where you can ask questions. Kindof a sidebar, but if you have never considered a phone reading as an option: I have found that I really enjoy and appreciate (and honestly might actually prefer) getting a reading over the phone - I can be in my own space, sit at my altar etc. For me, I can be a little more distracted or ungrounded when I'm in public - when I get a phone reading I can just drop in and afterwards do some journaling and thinking and be quiet if I need to... and just kindof digest the divination, which I think helps me to integrate it. If you are looking for a talented, insightful, HIGHLY experienced reader I could not recommend Nick Dickinson more wholeheartedly.

There are so many witch/occult type stores in Salem, do yourself a favor and go to ANY other place…read morethan this one. I went there to get my son some gems, which he was really excited about. It seemed like a cool new place I could take him. The woman working there made the experience awful. She acted like she had never seen a toddler before in her life, and was hovering, cold and rude. One of the glass display cases had been left open, and my son was (under my direct supervision) looking through some of the rocks on display, when she rushed over and said to not touch anything without permission, and closed the case and locked it... no "can I help you"? or "any questions"?... just a frigid, angry vibe. I mentioned that the case had been left open by someone else (obviously her since it seemed to require a key), indicating that it was ok to browse. she didn't say a word in response. I had the distinct feeling she was watching us, and after a few minutes she came over to ask if I wanted her to "hold onto" the 4 rocks/gems my son had picked out, while we looked around... in a tone that suggested she was worried he would either do something nefarious with the gems, or we would steal them. Then when I was in the middle of making our purchase, my son was looking at this rock wind chime looking thing, being totally respectful and gentle. She took it right out of his hands. So If you like cold, uninviting shopkeepers that don't respect your children's personal space and snatch things out of their hands, by all means visit The Calderon Black!

I just again bought 10 more bottles of foaming soap and guess what I received..... NOTHING.... as usual. Love the soaps and if you try and contact them, their site gives you the runaround... so that is out. I even want to know why they only had Coconut Cream Pie for a short time but like I said, you cannot reach out to them. They have those asinine robot answering machines. Just wondering if a larger corporation bought this company out and are less consistent by cutting corners... as many other once great companies are doing. THOSE WERE THE DAYS.

I do also like that they have manga section that myself and my god daughter etc can run thru to get her the next chapter she needs in whatever series. If they don't have it they can order it. The B&N on the South shore near me closed down and it sort of sad to see. I like the smell of brand new books in a bookstore. They have bunch of collectibles, legos, funko pops and other figurearts! The Starbucks we ordered 3 drinks, the did forget the simple syrup in two of them so it's more was definitely straight matcha which is fine, healthier without the sugar haha. It definitely took longer than other locations with no line. The cafe also offers more food the your normal Starbucks as well. Staff was alright, didn't seem the most friendly on our visit.

It's definitely a more dated store but seemingly had decent inventory of novels + great kid-friendly selection. They have a Starbucks inside, with only two workers but only one person working the front and also making the drinks. Expect a little bit of a wait because of this. We ordered three drinks: one caramel ribbon crunch Frappuccino & two iced matcha lattes w/ strawberry cold foam. Took about 10 min, so definitely longer than your typical stand alone Starbucks. Matcha lattes had no sweetener, though it normally comes w/ simple syrup but no problem, healthier this way anyways haha. My caramel frappe was very sweet + kept leaking out of the cup. Staff was okay, didn't find them to be that friendly. Overall, I can see this being a great spot to sit + read a book as it's pretty quiet in here & has drinks + food too. Just note if you're ordering food/drinks, just keep in mind it might take some time to be ready.

January 14 was a day my grandson and I were looking forward to…read more We had plans to go to the Lakeshore Learning Store. Lakeshore was doing a "science day". Parents, Grandparents and Friends , I want to tell you, we had a blast !!! We spent about two hours at the event We made slime, dug for dinosaurs and learned about bugs. We took our time going from station to station and loved every minute of it. The employees were unbelievable with the way they treated everyone. Each station worker explained how the things we did were done . Did I say we had a blast ! lol To my surprise as we did each station, No one pressured me/us to buy anything! Seriously! I have to say that that was very refreshing! Part of my Grammy / Grandson adventure to Lakeshore was a gift card to my Grandson for a Christmas gift.. When my daughter suggested adventures for Christmas gifts, I didn't realize that she was giving me a gift to. My gift was seeing how much my Grandson loved the Lakeshore Science event. His gift was learning and having fun . Of course he enjoyed spending his gift card after we had a marvelous time. Thank you to all the wonderful people who made our Grammy/Grandson adventure special. Very great value for the price. I loved how patient and kind he was during the tour especially with people asking questions. I didn't want the tour to end. Plus there are tons of items for sale from jewelry, to candles etc . I liked seeing all the Harry Potter stuff since I am a major fan. The lightning in the store is dark and moody very fitting for the town. There are lots of staff walking around to help. Enjoy!
