Where. Has. This. Been. I mean seriously. Why did it take me so terribly long to swing by and grab three, stuffed full, flour tacos.. Tried all THREE of them (smoked brisket, smoked chicken and smoked pork) and that very first bite into the smoked brisket was damn near audible. In fact, it WAS audible by both of us. Perfectly done, minimal grease if any really. That sweet chili sauce... is cooled off by his cilantro-like sour cream. The pico is super fresh, excellent bite ratio where just about every bite... has ALL the flavors. These are not your average taco! The smoked chicken was also amazballs. Great flavor, well seasoned, tender. Each bite getting better than the next! Smoked pork was next, and just as flavorful. Can you tell which one really shook our 11:30a hour? Went to a game at Werner park and got a strawberry margarita and Doritos walking taco. Service was fast and efficient- ordered the food and then was already asking what topping I wanted. Love a good game day atmosphere! Went back for more margaritas later! read more

I have to admit that in general, the barbecue + taco places are not my favorite type of restaurant. This was better than average because they really DO have good meat. Other places I have been really don't do great meat and you just can't make anything from that. I got 2 pork tacos. In my opinion, I still don't really love how the flavors here come together. I think the sweet chili sauce is not helping here. I also got hot sauce, of course. She asked if I want "hot" or "HOT hot". I chose the second and wow! It was indeed hot. I was glad it was served on the side! I liked it but it definitely exceeded my expectations! The meat, like I said, is fantastic. I think I would prefer it in a different form rather than in this taco with the flour tortilla and lettuce, etc. I definitely appreciated that the tortillas had been warmed. I think the tacos were $4.50 each. I ate 2 and definitely was filled up, so that was a pretty good value. The menu is not large, for a side you can get a bag of chips. I like a small-menu place because the food doesn't sit around. This place is REALLY small inside. We did dine in, but all there is is a small bar with 4 stools. And a couple window seats which are cute but maybe awkward for taco-eating-seating. So this would be best for takeout, maybe go sit in the nearby park if the weather is nice. read more

We stopped for a quick bite to eat. We both had a smoked brisket taco. It was very good with cilantro sour cream and a sweet chili sauce. My friend doesn't like cilantro but she said it was such a small amount in the sour cream that it was good. The sweet chili sauce was a great flavor for the taco!!! A bit pricey for a taco. A small menu easy to decide. Only bottle soda, no fountain. There isn't anywhere to sit inside but there are a couple chairs and tables outside and it was a nice evening to sit outside and it is in the shade. Service was quick and they will bring your food outside to you. I would probably go again for a snack! read more

I remember the first time I tried this place when they started on the corner with a small food cart and back then it was truly delicious, so happy they are in downtown Papillion permanently. I just had three taco's the chicken, pork and brisket for dinner, very reasonably priced. These are some of THE BEST TACO'S I've had anywhere, period! The is what you hope for when eating take out - full flavor and very satisfying. In today's eateries it's just harder and harder to find really great tasting food but this is always delicious! The food while it tastes excellent is highly overpriced for what you get. Two meals of three tacos each with bottled/can soda and chips was $42 That includes a modest $3 tip. One guy working register and serving food. He was doing well for all the orders he had. read more

I had the beef tacos. They were very tasty. Enjoyed the sweet chili sauce. Only downside was they were quite sloppy to eat. The chili sauce drips out from the taco at every opening, causing quite the mess. Definitely wouldn't try eating these in your vehicle. read more

I have always wanted to try this place! It's a nice little spot, real cozy. The service was very friendly. I think I had different expectations of the tacos. It was kinda pricey. I also was expecting something a little more authentic and with more options of tacos. They were still okay, I just felt like they were real basic and more or less something you'd make at home for a family taco night. I don't know if anyone has seen Kieth from The Try Guys online. But the White People Taco night song and vibe comes to mind. I did try the try one of each, with everything on them. Added hot sauce. I didn't even feel the heat from the hot sauce. Overall it just was not for me and if you're looking for more authentic Mexican tacos, I'd skip this place. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite at the Taco Guy in Papillion. A small quaint place where the cooks and staff are polite and happy to see you. Very limited indoor seating. This is the same Taco Guy who used to be in the town center park with a Taco cart only now in a brick and mortar store front. I took my foodie in-training teenager with me to see what the hype was all about. They run a very simple menu, three types of tacos. Chicken, brisket and pork. We tried the All 3 combo ($13) to sample and review them all. A little pricey for tacos but we love supporting small businesses. So we are okay with paying a bit extra for good food and service. Rank ordered from best to just okay. Pork, Brisket and then the chicken. Tacos were fresh and made on the spot. A good mix of cool cilantro sour cream and a good back end heat of their hot sauce. I would recommend just go with the pork. Order them to-go and sit in the town center park across the street for a pleasant afternoon lunch or early dinner. While it doesn't measure up to the authentic South O, Latino district street tacos, this place a great place to get a delicious bite to eat while in Papillion for the day. read more

Our first time trying this place out and we weren't let down. We went for the " one of each" order, one chicken, one pork, and one brisket. They smoke all of their meats on site and everything was very flavorful, good portions. The smoke really came through in the chicken taco. The toppings were great though a little too juicy for us...you'll need lots of napkins if you get all the toppings. No real seating inside, just a small bar seating areas, and two tables outside. Honestly the brisket was pretty good, but overall it was just an underwhelming taco. They're served on really large flour tortillas with a ton of sweet chili sauce, so many of my bites were just really syrupy sweet tortillas. The woman who served us was really kind though. I'm just bummed because I was really excited to try this. I feel like a smaller corn tortilla and more acidity would go a long way. read more

Really disappointed with our visit today. Service was terrible. Server was overwhelmed and totally unqualified to work anywhere. He couldn't even correctly count change from a cash payment. Waited over 20 minutes for an order that was of poor quality. Brisket tacos were very salty. Chicken tacos were good. Most food was cold. Taco shells were both overtoasted and undertoasted. No diet drinks. No seating available. Establishment was lacking ambiance. Had previously visited this taco stand at Werner Park which had excellent service and high quality food. Absolutely no comparison to the meal today. Our advice -- stay away from the Papillion location. . read more
