They were SO NICE! I drove to the first place I saw with power..(from Bellevue) I sat next to an outlet in a cozy booth and they let me stay as long as I needed! The staff was welcoming..I asked for a cup for water..they gave me one with a SMILE...The colors and decor was so beautiful..uplifting and bright! And then the food..GOODNESS...chicken enchiladas filled with lots of moist chicken and topped with lots of CHEESE ..lettuce salad on the side ..were spot on.. then their help yourself red hot sauce, salsa verde, green chile,, jalapeños, mild sauces, pickled onions...so many to choose from!!! I'll admit, I was skeptical of this place with it being a fast food Mexican spot. However, it didn't disappoint in the food flavor! We got the chicken enchiladas and supreme nachos, and the chicken was really good. You could tell they put time into making their chicken tender and flavorful, which can't be said for most fast food Mexican spots. Or even most Mexican spots for that matter. The nachos were tasty as well! They had a good mixture of cheese, meat and other ingredients. Service was subpar though. Let me just keep this short and sweet!! GO!!! Go here asap and eat!! This place never lets me down no matter what I order!!! Fast, fresh and sooo GOOD!!! The new menu items are bomb & a MUST try!! My boys get the taki burrito which seems to only be at this specific location however it's so good trust me, especially if you enjoy spicy! Food can be good but 1 TBSP of meat for the size of shell, I don't care what the special, taco Tuesday or not that's crazy. NOT with worth it. Plan to wait 30 + minutes on taco Tuesday Not, maybe longer, line goes out to 72nd street which creates a huge traffic jam and makes it impossible to pull out since you can only go right, then add wait time to your visit bc you're stuck back in the drive thru longer just trying to just leave the plaza ‍ read more

I'm a frequent customer and really enjoy the food there. However, I've been given the wrong order several times lately. I didn't make a big deal out of because mistakes happen. Tonight , however, I ordered my favorite meal to go, the green chili plate. Very disappointed. Portion size was half what it normally is. The chili was luke warm and very watery and very little meat. This isn't the quality that I've come to expect and hope that is not an indication of a decline. read more

Hit the Aberlardo's drive through and thought the prices seemed a little high but changed my mind when I saw how much food they gave. They are not skimpy on the meat and everything was good. We definitely got our money's worth. Really liked their refried beans. They included hot sauce but forgot the salad dressing for my wife's taco salad. I thought there food was as good as many more traditional sit down Mexican restaurants. Had they included the ranch dressing which my wife asked for on the side I would have given them 5 stars. When I first moved here a couple years ago from California, it took me a long time to find a good Mexican food restaurant that came close to back home, and I was happy when I found this Abelardos. However, I've noticed recently that the burritos are getting smaller, and smaller, and smaller. I used to have to hold it with two hands, now it's just slightly bigger than my thumb and index finger. I understand inflation and the cost of ingredients, but maybe just slightly increase the cost of the burritos, I'd happily pay a little more and have a satisfying than have it keep gradually shrinking over time for the same price :/ read more

We stop here at times to get our Abelardo's fill lol. This is a great location with friendly staff. The portions are always plenty as well. Last time they forgot a couple things on our drive through order. We came back to let them know and, just as expected, they took care of us right away and corrected it with a smile. I was so excited to find a local fast food Mexican place similar to my favorite place in Vegas, Roberto's. Sadly, the flavors were just not there. The carne asada burrito was full of hard fatty chunks. The salsa was less than impressive and the rolled taquitos were more taco shell than anything else which made eating them extremely sad. The shredded chicken taco was so greasy it reminded me of a taco you would get from a school lunch. It was absolutely disgusting. The best thing I tried was the guacamole but it is too expensive for the amount they give you. The staff is also mediocre. They dont great you and are cold at the window. They take your money and don't say much. You wait in line in the drive thru for a decent amount of time before they throw a bag at you and send you on your way. They didn't even read my order back to me the anxiety of them getting everything into the bag that sent me off with was high. The bag is tied shut as well so if you wanted to check it, it would be difficult and you'd then be holding up the line even more. There has to be a better system. Contact Roberto's and figure out how they can get flavors in their food! read more

Gave 2 stars because up until they were really bad, they are really good! The food is always awesome I'll continue to eat there. Reasonably priced as well. Just obviously not very organized and prepared to do the business they advertise. You need people you can count on. They're simply not reliable. Can't imagine how they would be when they are owed money, but they suck bad when they have yours! MOD's (managers on duty) apparently have ZERO authority to do anything but make phone call after phone call when they drop the ball! Actually don't know how many calls were made, it's just what I was told. Anyway, stick to ordering inside or the drive thru! Food is amazing every time, However, service on 9-17-2023- around 10:30 am was uncomfortable and poor. After placing an order, for one egg and bacon burrito, we got a steak and egg burrito. We (three people in the car)repeated the order twice, which is fine ...mistakes happen, sometimes outside noise cause miscommunication. I get it, but when you mention the order is incorrect, you don't catch an attitude and try argue with the customer about what someone said or what you think heard.. you begin service recovery. She made us feel like a burden and killed the mood for was us after we had a pretty amazing morning. Who knows maybe she was short staff.. just not a good experience. read more

I've been to this location a couple of times. The staff is really friendly and the service is fast. Last time I had the Carne Asada Torta and it was really good! I loved the Guacamole. I recently went again and I had the Taco Salad with ground beef. I did not like the taco salad. When I first looked at the salad, it looked great, until I started eating it. The ground beef is not the typical consistency. It's extremely fine ground beef. Also the salad was 15% lettuce and 85% beef and refried beans. The salad was sprinkled on the top sparsely, with a thick layer of beef and beans below. Because of the consistency, it was like mush. No crunch in the salad. It made the shell get soggy fast! I ended up throwing the majority away, so I was disappointed. Since they have a really large menu and the service is good, I'm willing to go back and try other menu items. For now I can only give 3 stars. read more

This was a reminder of from where we just moved and a welcome one at that!! It reminded me Of Roberto's in Reno/Sparks/Las Vegas, Nevada (see them on Guy's Triple D) and was just what I needed feeling homesick tonight! The loaded fries with steak are HUGE! The pico was nice and fresh and the steak was plentiful. My husband got the carne asada burrito combo-two not so small burritos with a great sauce, beans and rice. YUM!! We could have easily gotten one or the other meals and split it... you definitely don't go hungry here!!! The horchata had great flavor-not too sweet with a nice balance of rice and cinnamon (sometimes someone goes crazy with the sugar!) We decided to use the drive-thru and I was concerned the wait would be long but nope- it was really quite fast. AND they gave us some great salsas without asking. The only downsides were no napkins (luckily we were headed home) and no way to tip on our credit card. That seems to be a theme here in Nebraska tho...... read more

Their steak breakfast burritos are so huge! My Nave Corpsman sone couldn't even finish the whole thing. I takes me at LEAST 3 meals to eat one! And they're green sauce is very delicious, too!!! Breakfast burrito with egg and bacon is my go to! One of few places that remains open "after hours" and it's 100% worth it!!

Drove through for a quick lunch. We both ordered the Carne Asada Torta. It was ok. Meat needed to be chopped up a bit more. Onions were not chopped up. No beans. Bread was not fresh. Unusual, compared to another Abelardo location I have reviewed. Maybe it was just a Monday thing. This place just opened up. No indoor dining available. I will give it a try again in a couple of months to see if things have improved. read more
