I like how much is automated with QR codes, online booking and edits to your reservations can be completed online. This matters when flights are delayed or cancelled as the weather and shutdown created real impacts. What can improve: amount of shuttles rolling through for airport pickup especially at peak times. Our driver did radio ahead and told them to send 2 shuttles but help us all if you try to call no one answers. Pros: AAA deals are better than the spots promotional offers. Upon entry someone will swing by your spot in no time so if you're rushing you'll make it. Are you flying out of Charlotte? Do you need to be sure you will have somewhere to park? Do you not want to pay an arm and a leg? The Parking Spot is your answer! I've used this facility several times in the past, and especially when parking spots become scarce during the holidays, it's always nice to be able to make a reservation for a spot. Book far enough in advance, they even give you an early bird discount. We used the Parking Spot for Christmas this year, and it worked out perfectly. We made a reservation right after booking our flights, about a month in advance. When we arrived at the lot on our departure say, we pulled in, scanned the QR code in the confirmation email, and were told where to park. Once parked the shuttle arrived, and picked us right up to go to the terminal. It was smooth as could be, door to door service. The shuttle driver was friendly, providing a business card noting our exact parking spot so we wouldn't have any trouble finding it when we return. When we flew back to Charlotte, we caught the shuttle near back age claim, gave them our card and they drove us directly to our car and we were on our way home. Great experience parking here while grabbing a flight out of CLT. The driver picked us up almost as soon as we parked and helped us with bags. We arrived after hours (10 PM). I would recommend downloading the app which automatically notifies them that you are at the pickup zone and sends the shuttle. We didn't have to wait very long, though I'm sure it would depend based on what time you arrive. The lot itself is extremely well organized and well lit as well. Pricing is the most competitive out of the other options in the Charlotte area and they are just outside the airport (across the street) so the location cant be beat. Another tip is to book early if you know your travel arrangements in advance as this usually allows for a nice discount. read more

Parking at the airport is usually a point of stress for a lot of ppl traveling. I found The Parking Spot a couple of years ago and have used them ever since. If you haven't traveled recently, it's important to note that most parking is now reservation only so you need to book it before you show up. TPS has an easy to use website to book your parking and if you get on their email list, also have discount codes throughout the year. You can also save money by prepaying typically. Once you book it, you just show up and scan your reservation QR code and park in the level you pre selected. The shuttle busses are quick and plentiful, I've honestly never waited for a bus. The awesome bus drivers will help with luggage and give you a ticket for your return trip. Keep that ticket handy and simply hand it to the driver upon your return for door to car service. Also printed on the card are instructions for return pick up location, very handy to have when you're tired from traveling. Once you return, you'll be dropped off right at your car and you scan the reservation to exit. Complimentary water bottles are available at the departure gate and always appreciated! I like the cost savings & convenience of having the Parking Spot van pick me up directly beside my vehicle for pick ups & returns. The drivers are so nice & take care of my luggage so I never have to lift it in or out of the van. I've never used it, but they offer upgraded covered spaces & car wash. The only negative occurs during busy hours at the Arrival area. If you're trying to catch the van to return to your car it is like the Wild West! Read my reviews. I'd rather share love than negatively. It has to be multiple offenses or egregious . This is both. We have been coming to the Parking Spot for years now. I understand that it can be hard to keep staff in this area, let alone the ones that you want to keep. So I have overlooked a LOT over the years. They have been spiraling over the last year with an array of bad behaviors. It's apparently gotten so bad that they only have a temporary manager now and have brought in reinforcements from other areas. Like Texas, even. The website says that with status you can get a complimentary upgrade in parking, but the app doesn't support that. We had talked to Patrick about it, and he told us just to park in covered and have the attendant adjust it when we leave. So we have done that. We get back from a 31 day trip to find out that the acting manager who said her name is Madea, would not honor that. Not even this time. I understand changing policy, and it affecting future stays. So I guess we'll use up our free days, then start giving our money, for the 300+ days a year that we park it, to another company. This place has a problem from the bottom to the top. read more

I wish I had gotten her name, but she took my phone, scanned the QR code for me & instructed me on where I should park. first and last time. Joey was the nastiest driver I've ever seen. he chastised and belittled everyone in the bus and angrily yelled at everyone. no one told us we needed to wait at our car. I told him what row we were parked in and he didn't believe us, making the entire shuttle drive around needlessly to find our car. Horrible first experience at CLT The Parking Spot. We tried making a reservation online to get the listed promo rate of $11.95 but it wouldn't allow us to. When we got to the gate, the woman working was extremely rude to us and made audible sighs of frustration that we were in line to park without a reservation. She said "Don't ever do this again and I will take your card to go tap it." She told us we could only do the premium covered parking and get charged $26 per day. The day we left, The Parking Spot had overcharged us. We tapped the call button on the machine at the gate a few times, however the attendant in the booth immediately next to us made no effort to help, nor did anyone answer the call. As cars piled up behind us in line, we did the ethical thing for other customers and paid the higher rate, which we were also surprised to find out included a $38 "airport usage fee." We paid the overinflated cost and tried to get a receipt. The receipt printed completely blank paper. After we pulled ahead and stopped, there was a different customer walking out of the building that expressed frustration that the machine did not print their receipt either. We went into the office and no one greeted us. We peeked into a couple of the offices and finally a staff member remained seated in a corner office and said that the person in the booth outside could help us. We further explained that the person in the booth made no attempt to help us after numerous tries. He then said, "What can we do?" We explained our aforementioned complaints to which a staff member said we didn't share enough information for them to resolve any issues. We then offered the card that the shuttle driver gave us and shared we wanted to work toward a solution. Eventually, they said that our credit card number would be sufficient to find what they needed. A team member then placed a 12% discount on the charge with our final price being $314.60 for 11 days. We could have valet parked at the actual airport for $27 per day which we researched ahead of time as well and will never use The Parking Spot again. read more

We are such strange creatures of habit, aren't we? I will search and search and drive God knows how far to save a few dollars on the airfare but freak out when I have to pay for parking. I love Greensboro to death, but our options out of the airport really suck. Unless you are heading to New York or Florida, everything else requires a stopover in Atlanta or somewhere along the way. I quite often look for an airport that has a direct flight. At least I know when I get on and the plane takes off, the next stop will be my destination. I cannot begin to tell you how many slices of pizza I have had in the Atlanta airport because the connecting flight got canceled or delayed. So, when I saw that Charlotte had a direct flight from it's airport to Canada, I decided to try the hour and a half ride and see how I fared. The big question was, what I was going to do with my car for 5 days for surely no one is going to give me a ride and parking is so freaking expensive! After gasping at the exorbitant prices of parking at the Charlotte airport on-line, I did notice there was an off-site alternative called The Parking Spot. The price looked pretty decent, they offered a AAA discount and supposedly even bring you back to your car. It was turning out to be about six bucks a day as opposed to the $12 or more a day if I wanted to be walking distance to the terminal. I decided to give it a shot with my heart in my hand because I know how un-user- friendly these things can be! I got to the airport with plenty of time to spare and good old GPS brought me right to the entrance of The Parking Spot. I scanned the QR code they gave me with my pre-paid reservation and a gentleman at the gate told me to park in section U which was the uncovered section all the way in the back. How will they ever find me? How will I ever find the spot? To my amazement, it was quite easy to find the spot but wondered how at 5AM in the morning they were going to retrieve me. I'll be damned, but as soon as I got my stuff out of the car, within a minute or two there was The Parking Spot van to pick me up. They even handed me a little card that told me my parking spot, so when I return it will be easy for me and the driver to find my car. Clever, appreciated and great customer service! As promised, I was dropped off at the terminal and it was easy as pie. Now how difficult will the return be? I was not looking forward to that. Once again, The Parking Spot came through. The little business card tells you exactly where to stand after you get your luggage. There was even a big sign outside the arrivals/baggage level to indicate I was at the right place. Within two minutes the van picked me up and I'll be damned if they didn't drop me off right in front of my car. I scanned the QR code one more time on my way out and I was on my way home. This was so damn user friendly. I was incredibly impressed, and considering how expensive airport parking is, This was a great deal. I find everything connected with airports to be overpriced and costly, but The Parking Spot offered me a fair price with fantastic customer service. I especially loved the idea that they dropped me off at my car. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have returned from a long trip and I've ended up crying in the airport parking lot for an hour trying to find my vehicle. Unless you have a lot of money or need to park right by the terminal, the next time you go to Charlotte, I would highly recommend The Parking Spot. Convenient, customer friendly, user friendly and don't forget your AAA discount! I hear they have operations at many airports throughout the country and they have won me over. Never again. Don't waste your time on unreliable service with inconsistent shuttle wait times from the airport to the lot ranging from 10 minutes to 40 plus minutes. There are several other options, including onsite parking at the airport that is walking distance to the terminal. Those other options actually have shuttles and buses that come by the airport pickup area every 5 minutes or so. Giving it more than one star because their process getting you to the airport seems fine, but it's the return trip that you never know what you are going to get! read more

This is the second time I've used The Parking Spot in Charlotte. The CLT airport parking is a bit of a hassle, and expensive. The Parking Spot has a great system where parking can be purchased online ahead of time and they have an easy to use mobile app. Their shuttles run continuously and the staff are always quick and friendly. This shuttle service is no slower than any other parking system that I've experienced. The Parking Spot also has different tiers of parking, so if you have a car that you want to keep under a roof, you can do that. read more

Service is absolutely horrendous. They have limited staff and now limited shuttles. I spoke to one of the drivers and he informed me that they just laid off 30% of their drivers. When I travel it will take approximately 20 minutes for a shuttle to pick me up from my parking spot and bring me to the airport. Upon return, you can wait anywhere from 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes to get a shuttle at the airport and bring you back to your spot. I am starting to look at alternatives in that it is getting so bad. I would advise to not use the parking spot and look for alternatives. read more
