I have been using the Parking Spot for since Thrifty closed during the pandemic. In the last year, the wait time to be picked up at CMH has increased. Last night was busy. There were at least 30 people waiting and based on the "shuttle tracker" all 4 buses were sitting at the parking lot. The other companies always seem to have buses coming and going from CMH while Parking Spot customers are waiting and complaining. I will give the Parking Spot one more chance this coming weekend. Will likely just Uber in the future. read more

Signed up and used The Parking Spot at CMH for the first time. Trip to airport was good - decent wait time for shuttle. Trip back from airport to lot - not so good. The wait time to get a shuttle was too long. (At least 30+ minutes). I hit the "Find Shuttle" function on app almost as soon as we got to designated pick up area (and rec'd message back to my request had been recorded - "shuttle on way". As we were waited, the group waiting to get a shuttle to the Parking Spot lot grew larger and larger. Several folks shared this was an unusually long wait. Once shuttle actually arrived, it could only accommodate a portion of the large group, so we waited again for another shuttle. While the price was definitely good, not sure I'll use again, based on the extremely long wait to get shuttle ride back to my car. read more

They are NEVER in the spot when you come out of the airport and you have to repeatedly call them to get a shuttle to show up. Not reliable. We have been waiting now for almost 20 minutes and the shuttle is still "on its way". Don't book them if you want to get anywhere on time. Literally every other option has had multiple shuttles running while we are still stranded waiting. read more

They make it easy. I made reservations and paid online. When we arrived at the gate, I just scanned the bar code that was emailed (or on their app). The attendant asked if I paid for covered or uncovered parking, then directed us to which row and said she would send the shuttle over. We waited only a minute - the driver helped with the bags and gave me a card with our parking spot number on it. He helped unload at departures, and I tipped him. Wow. Greatly appreciate the follow-up from the Manager of Parking Spot. Confirmed they were having some staffing issues, but the national weather picture specifically impacted staffing/planning the night we arrived - given the airport typically closes at 1pm and there were 4-6 flights arriving about that same time. In the past it was easier to deal with humans instead of QR codes and such. The overall experience was fine, it our leaving the parking lot that caused frustration. The glare on the screen made it impossible to read and the volume of the kiosk was too low. Having to swipe for an unseen amount isn't fun. I got an email receipt, fine but being offered one after the gate is up by the machine implies I should drive off. With cars lined up behind me this was stressful. Last note. They need more EXIT signs so you know where to go and how to leave. Fair price on parking but they need to get the kinks out for an improved customer experience. Tip* print out your QR Code. Dropping off the car went quite smoothly and quickly. However, upon return it took quite a bit of time to return. We struggled using the kiosk and called for assistance. We had to search for help and when we found an employee, the lady seemed to being doing nothing. Our previous experiences were a bit better with the Parking Spot. They just need to make sure that their employees are actively waiting for customers and not dilly-dallying. Other than that everything felt safe and was fairly easy to book online too. Parked today and there was no attendant to tell me where to park. This resulted in taking almost 30 minutes to get your the airport from the time I parked because everyone was all over the placed. It was an incredibly stressful experience and very frustrating. read more

The Parking Spot is awesome. To adequately explain why they're awesome though, I first need to explain how the airport operated blue/red/green lots work. It took an entire year of prodding from my wife before I stopped using the green lot and started using The Parking Spot! Hopefully by reading this review, you can make the switch faster! The green lot costs $5/day (used to be $4/day but not anymore) and is the furthest away from the airport. You need to walk from your car to a shuttle pick up stop. The shuttles used to be pretty reliable but their frequency seems to have dropped in recent years. I've waited 10-15 minutes for a shuttle at times. Waiting for 10 minutes in subzero temperature at 11pm after a long day of travel isn't fun. Waiting for 10 minutes for a shuttle when your flight starts boarding in 20 minutes... also not fun. But it is the cheapest option. The red lot costs $7/day and is closer to the airport. Otherwise I believe it's the same as the green lot. The blue lot costs $9/day and is even closer to the airport. Unlike the red and green lots, the shuttle will pick you up and drop you off at your car. So that's nice. It also has the option of covered parking for an additional $1/day. So how is The Parking Spot different? The standard rate is $7.50/day. It's further away than the red lot, but it's slightly closer than the green lot. Just like the blue lot, the shuttle will pick you up and drop you off at your car. Covered parking is also available for an additional $1/day. The shuttle frequency is phenomenal. The longest I've ever waited on the way into the airport has been 5 minutes. On the way out of the airport, the shuttle has been there waiting for me the last 4 times. So The Parking Spot is basically a cheaper blue lot that's slightly further away. They also do valet parking for more money. I haven't tried it, but it looks like they'll also wash your car while you're gone for a fee. The other big differentiator is that The Parking Spot offers a frequent customer program where you can earn free parking if you park there enough! The airport lots don't offer that. Definitely useful for frequent travelers. They also offer automated checkout lanes and a free bottle of water to go. I do realize though that for many of us, price is the ultimate decision maker and The Parking Spot does have a higher standard price than the green and red lots. This is where discounts come into play. They have coupons everywhere! They have a 5% off coupon online, every in-flight magazine that I've seen lately has a 10% off coupon. (And I've flown American, Delta, and Southwest all in the last 3 months.) I've gotten coupons for $4.95/day in the mail, and depending on who you work for, they also offer corporate discounts. I have access to a corporate discount myself that makes the daily price comparable to the green lot. So if you use the blue lot already, you should definitely make the switch as it's basically the same thing, except cheaper. If you use the red lot, you should also switch since it's a better experience for basically the same price assuming you use a coupon. If you use the green lot, you also might want to consider making the switch to The Parking Spot for a much better experience for a slight premium in price! read more

We have used The Parking Spot for many years - as far back as when it was called "3C" which we sometimes still call it. We usually use the uncovered valet option. The drivers both coming and going are very courteous and helpful. They have always unloaded and loaded our luggage for us - they deserve and get a tip! A few suggestions. Sometimes the pickup time at the airport can be a bit long - we call as soon as we are at baggage claim to request pick up, which can help to expedite the process. Our car has always been ready, with engine running. Once several years ago, for a 6 AM flight, we arrived at 4:45 AM and no one was working at the pickup area inside the entrance. After waiting about 20 minutes, and afraid we would miss our flight, we self-parked and took their shuttle to the airport. I suggest for such an early flight, you make a reservation and follow up with a phone call to confirm someone will be there at the early hour. Also, very favorable discount coupons used to be available on line, but this is sadly no longer the case. They do give a 10% AAA discount OR 10% off when making the online reservation - not both. I would LOVE to see the discount coupons return. read more

This used to be my preferred and most recommended airport parking lot. After COVID it just keeps getting worse and worse. Higher and higher prices, less shuttles, drivers that are more quick to put a hand out for a tip than to grab a bag. They'll leave you standing in the lot as they pass by over and over picking up others. For the price, it's just not the level of service you'd expect. Sad to see them decline. read more

They're very quick to pick you up when you park, which is awesome if you're in a hurry for a flight. Yet, it takes FOREVER to be picked up when you're flight arrives home. I've hesitated writing a review the past few times we used parking spot, but thought that 3 times in a row where it took 20-30 minutes to be picked up is too long. It gets to be frustrating when you see multiple shuttles for other lots come and go, but you're waiting and there is a huge line for the parking spot. For this particular time, the driver was super nice and helpful. He piled as many people in the van and had suitcases piled on the front seat (not sure that was safe) and outside the suitcase area. At one point, one of the suitcases started to move onto a customer and he had to stop it with his feet!! Positives: you're picked up and dropped off at your car, pick up from your car is quick, drivers are nice/friendly (usually), and you get water when you exit/pay. Negatives: extremely slow pick up when you return to Columbus; no cheaper than others lots unless you have a good coupon or discount (like 25%off); and when you arrive and you're the first one on... They will continue to pick up others to fill the shuttle so it still may be a bit before you reach the terminal. Every time we fly, we say we're going to use a different service, yet it's been habit to use parking spot as I used it before it was called parking spot... Next time may be the time we try a different lot! read more

This service is awesome! As you pull in, they direct you to your row & simultaneously call their shuttle driver to head your way. Pick up at your spot, dropped to the airport & the return was just as easy. Shuttles return every 10-12 minutes, drivers assist you with your bags. Back to your vehicle in less than 5 minutes, no joke! When you leave, they even have ice cold bottles of water available. Super nice after traveling!! read more

I really like this place. Yes they do have a military discount, but they also have online coupons. I have never had damage or break ins. I do not see debris or litter around the lot. It was well lit for early morning or nighttime. The staff has always been super friendly. Responsibility does lie with the customer, so don't get me wrong. Print your online coupon before you come, and leave it in your car. It's not needed but recommended that you make a reservation online. That way you can request a covered space, or auto services such as car washing. Leave your coupon and inbound ticket in your car. The shuttle driver will swing by to help unload your car. Put your luggage on the shuttle, and give you a card with your location and instructions. They whisk you away in a clean bus, driven at safe speeds. Again unloading your luggage at the airline curb. When you have landed and claimed your luggage, pull that card out of your wallet. Call them that you are ready for pick up. If it is a busy time of day, you wont wait long at all. We watched a shuttle drive a away as we were exiting the airport. In 3 min another shuttle appeared. Same friendliness, and customer service. Hand the driver your card and be dropped at your space. Pro Tip... Press your remote starter now for A/C or Heat. When following the well marked signs to the exit, there is little to no line to check out. Unlike those other "colored" lots the airport promotes. Two exit lines to choose from. Automated credit card self serve payment, or attendant at the window. I asked the attendant, "Whats the better deal, Military or coupon?" He ran both ways and said the coupon is about $4 a day. $40 was a deal for 2 weekends and a week. He even handed me a cold bottle of water, and said Thank you for your service. He also handed me the water on previous visits. There is a drink cooler if you need to purchase a beverage. I wonder if they have snacks also? This is my go to place forever. read more

I have been a long time loyal customer. I booked a reservation and was in shock that the price is 21.00 more than my previous 7 day trip in December. There are not any coupons anymore to use to offset the price. They give you a discount online, but it is nothing like I am used to paying on previous trips. Parked my car around 4:30AM and within 2 minutes the shuttle came by. On return back, I just missed the shuttle and called to be picked up. And this was my last time. I was held at the exit while I was told I could not use the 3 free days of parking, I was told there was no way of applying my 3 free days. Great experience! We always have a family member drop us off at the airport and it usually takes about 40-45 mins for us to get there. This last trip we had a 6:00 am flight which meant in order to ensure we had plenty of time, we would have needed to leave at 3:45am at the latest to get to the airport when we needed too. Instead we booked a room at the airport (that had a shuttle) and took the car over the night before our flight. We got to the lot with our Spot Card and were IMMEDIATELY greeted with courtesy and a smile and were shown to a convenient spot right away. We parked and a shuttle driver met us right away and ask to help us with our luggage. We had already checked into the hotel and took in our luggage so we explained to him that we had a flight the next morning and we were staying at a hotel and we had already unloaded everything. He ask us what hotel and I told him and explained that we were going to ride to the terminal with him and wait for the hotel shuttle to come back to the terminal and we would get a ride with them back to the hotel. When he found out we would have to wait for the shuttle he INSISTED that he would drop us off himself on the way back to the lot!!!! What GREAT service for a first time customer! The return trip was a breeze. The shuttle was ready and waiting when we got back home and not only did he drop us off at our car, he unloaded our bags and put them in our trunk for us too! Great experience !!!! Just make sure you take some $1's to tip the drivers......we gave them a $1 a bag and they really appreciated it. We did tip more when he went out of his way to drop us off at our hotel the night before our flight, because it was such GREAT customer service on his part ! WE WILL BE BACK !!! I will never park anywhere else again. The customer service here is amazing. It's clean, updated, spacious and the staff are very supportive and helpful. It's a quick jog to and from the airport and I've never been late for flights like I've been with the shuttles of the other lots. Once, I even left my laptop on the shuttle bus coming home from a late flight and didn't realize it until I had arrived home. I panicked, called and they told me they had it and were holding it for me at the front office. Once I got there the shuttle driver told me someone else had found it on his shuttle and tried to claim it and take it home as theirs. He stepped up and said, "that's not yours, I know who that belongs to he was just on my shuttle" took it from the passenger and took it to the front office for me.
