Not the same at all. The owner moved to help his parents in Oregon. The staff has been in turn-over mode or 'musical chairs' if you will for a couple of years now. Now you're even lucky if you see a licensed Dentist at all....or for more the 3 minutes anyway. That was just not the way it was when we wrote our original review. The Dentist was always there and took great care about things. Now that is so totally not the case. We will not be going back as soon as we find another Dentist in the area. Never thought we'd have to change. But it happens. read more

This dentist office is the best without a doubt. As adults we have busy lives we work, we go to school, or we do something that has our attention. I don't have time to go to the dentist then go to the orthodontist then go to a cosmetic dentist. This office has it all. It's one quick stop and then boom your out. The quality of service is mind blowing. I have gone to a couple different dentists throughout my life. This is the first one where the did a teeth cleaning, X-rays, oral cancer screening, gum disease check, and a lot more that I can't even remember. The dentist and the staff was nice and courteous. The $600+ bill I got almost three years later was less appreciated. They promised to "work with me" if I didn't contest their new charges and give me was "discounts" to drop the bill by approximately $150. When my wife went to pay, however, we were charged $645.20. I paid-in-full at the time of services rendered back in 2016. Their negligence and ineptitude shouldn't be my problem in 2019. Especially now that I can't do anything about the bill with insurance or my FSA. read more

What a great experience!! My 3 kids have not been to the dentist in quite some time. One was even a little apprehensive about the visit. Not to worry though... by the time each was done with their visit they were all smiles and wondering when they could come back again!! (Must be the fluoride talking!!) The staff was exceptional and more than accommodating, answering all of our questions all the while being friendly and patient with us. Dr. Cook came out to the waiting area after each of our kids to discuss their treatments and options. Easy going, friendly, and knowledgeable. We felt comfortable that our kids were in good hands. We appreciated that he did NOT try to sell us on all the "extras" but instead gave treatments and preventative recommendations to keep our kids healthy. Thankful for that!! Today was the day I found a great dentist and awesome team. Pros - Dr. Cook is funny and cares about what I think and want. The team was accommodating to my many questions about fees, insurance, and dental fears. You know that feeling when you connect with some one... I never thought I'd find it at a dental office. The Parkway Dentist is by far the best dentist I've ever been to. Dr. Cook and his team do an incredible job of making their patients feel comfortable, informed, and empowered in their dental health. I've hated going to the dentist in the past and as much as I hate having dental work done, it's as pleasant as it can be when visiting this office. I bring headphones and listen to my music while I'm having work done (and with the help of patient-requested laughing gas) I'm comfortable. Highly recommend! I rearranged my whole day today to meet with Dr. Cook, for the third time, reguarding a horribly painful tooth that I've been dealing with for a over a year. His office called an HOUR before I was preparing to leave to have it extracted to tell me that I couldn't come in at all. After loosing sleep last night and enlisting family to help with my other obligations so I could finally get some relief...NOTHING. I tried to tell the lady who called that I still wanted to come in and ask Dr. Cook some questions because my goal was to actually keep my tooth, but I was rudely shut down no matter what I said. I just had a $1,300.00 root canal on this same tooth a week ago under Dr. Cook's direction. Because I got no relief, he was going to pull it this morning after we determined that there was nothing I could do to save it. To make matters much worse, she shamed me over a medication that I've been on for just over a year - the SAME pain medicine I was on last year when Dr. Cook first examined my tooth...a medicine I'm on because I'm recovering from a third back surgery that I just had eight weeks ago. A medicine that they've known I've been on for a year! I was just there less than 2 weeks ago - why wasn't I told then that it would be thousands more dollars to have an oral surgeon or an anesthesiologist present to extract a single tooth?!? She told me the ONLY option I had if I wanted Dr. Cook to look at my tooth was to agree to an oral surgeon extracting it or to let an anesthesiologist sedate me in Dr. Cook's office for a routine extraction. An hour before I leave? After I have mentally prepared myself and lost sleep last night worrying over this? WHAT?!? And IF I agreed to all of this ridiculousness, I had to come in next week and sign pre-surgical paperwork BEFORE they could schedule the anesthesiologist or oral surgeon?!? So I can go another week or two feeling this horrendous pain before they'll step in and help me with some relief?!? No thank you. I'm in tears as I type this! I've never had a doctor OR a dentist turn me away. EVER. Especially in an emergency situation where I'm not able to function due to the pain levels! I don't even know what to do now. They blindsided me, and I'm very hurt over the way I was spoken to. I wouldn't treat my enemy the way she treated me this morning, but even more important is how will I get this taken care of now?!? I'll have to find another dentist... make an appointment... get a checkup...and schedule another extraction date. How long will that take? I don't know yet, but it's too long when your miserable! If your dentist can't help you in an emergency situation...the why is that person your dentist? I just recommended him to my mom and sister. My husband and daughter see him too. He just lost 3 established patients and two potential future patients. If he did not help me in a prior scheduled EMERGENCY situation, then he won't help them under the same circumstances. It's devistating and heartbreaking to have to leave this review, but I can no longer eat or function because of the tooth pain. It's unbelievable! read more

This is the most amazing dental practice I have ever experienced. I had so many horrific dental experiences in my life, it left me truly traumatized and unable to see a dentist for years. When I finally had to go, I took a chance and tried The Parkway Dentist, and it completely changed my life. They have taken SUCH good care of me (and my teeth)! They understood how much anxiety I had around dentistry, and were patient and understanding. Not only that, but there work is top quality. I had a seizure which caused me to fall face first on to concrete, breaking my front teeth in half. I was in tears when I got to the dentist - I was convinced they would always look 'fake'. They were SO kind and caring, and promised me I was going to love the results. Well they were right! My teeth look 100% natural, and I'm so proud to smile and show them off. Every one from the front desk to the dental professionals are the most wonderful people you could ask for. They go out of there way to be helpful, and do incredible work. I just recently went to The Parkway Dentist and saw Dr. Cook and his team. From the moment they answered the phone to the time I walked out of the office I felt like they genuinely cared about me. They treated me and not my teeth! My hygienist was very knowledgeable and friendly. She even used a microscope to make sure that I was healthy. Dr. Cook was not only pleasant but really good at explaining what was happening. I didn't feel any pain and walked away very satisfied with my smile. The location is also convenient right across the street from the Fort Worth Country Day School. read more

First, let me say I have not seen him yet so this is not directed at him but at his office and how inefficient it is run. I called to set up a second opinion appointment a couple of weeks ago the lady that answered the phone was so sweet she said the Dr calls the patient before the apt so I asked could I send my treatment plan for him to look over sure she said and gave me their email address well the dang thing bounced back the mailbox was full so I called them back and the lady said to send it to her what is your email address so gave it to her never heard from her and did not hear from the Dr and did not get a reminder call so I called the answering service and rescheduled seems that they just don't like doing the second opinion which in that case I should have been told or they really are this inept. However the answering service is very nice and professional she said she was so sorry for the office and someone would call me well that was Monday so I will be canceling ASAP read more
