I asked for a bunch of layers and to clean it up. I had really really long crazy hair that had not had a real professional cut in years and she really hooked it up! So grateful. She recently gave me a good trim of a few inches and added some layers which I absolutely love. I love a good beachy wave look because my hair isn't completely straight and I love how she works her magic-- always in less than an hour even with shampooing. I also had my little sister try her very first deep conditioning treatment and she absolutely loved it -- she has incredibly dry, thick hair and since she's the only in on my family with this hair type, we don't know the best products for her hair. She felt SO confident and kept asking me when she can come back for another treatment. The stylist gave us so many helpful products that were affordable and easy to integrate into her routine.

I was left with a brassy blonde that looked like a failed home attempt. I later contacted Denise requesting a refund, and she stated that the level of lightening achieved was impresive for one sitting, and I really should have paid more for the amount of foils she use. Half my head is still brown. I would have been satisfied with a partial refund, but her only fix was to have me come in and tone it and add a few extra foils.. Too late, I had already needed to go to another salon the next day (Sunday) and pay an additional $60 to have it corrected so it looked presentable enough to go to work the next day. I would not recommend this salon for the simple fact that the owner can't even honor the mission statement, it's poor business. I've since received great customer service and had an overall positive experience at Simonson Salon and Spa in Maple Grove.
