We did not want to spend 8 hours getting to the small island (and another 8 hours getting back to Athens). We only had 10 days, including travel time. Taking a few tours was fine, but we also wanted to do some sightseeing on our own. We had 7 people that included children and needed accommodations for 4 in one room and 3 in another. So, I reached out to my pal Taimy to see what she could put together for us. And our trip turned out to be the perfect combination of guided tours (when needed) as well as some sightseeing on our own. The hotel in Athens was great: the location was perfect and the staff and service were superb. The tour guides that we had, for the most part, were excellent. (Shout-out to Theo from Getaways and Mary from Top Santorini Tours.) Taimy was available to us throughout the planning process and while we were on the trip. (We had one flight cancelled and had to scramble to rearrange our itinerary.) She also takes criticism well. (I hated the fact that most of the vouchers and tickets were electronic and wanted to be able to print them.) I would add a half star for 4 1/2 stars, but Yelp doesn't offer that option. We had a great time in Greece. Thanks, Taimy, for a picture perfect vacation. (I took many photos. But the attached were among my favorites.)
