Charged me 200 for one dog. This grooming charges 40-560 more than the prices posted online and in store. They charge 10 for late fees and I drove straight there and was there within 10 min. Of getting a text. I showed them on my phone and I got absolutely no calls from them.. My dog is a sweet dog and has really good hair. worst experience EVER 200 .They argued with me and told me I was lying and I showed them on my phone.. worst people. I paid the 200 cash. I previously wrote a 3 star rating on this company. The person that originally groomed my Charlie did a horrible job! The owner called me that evening asking what happened. I told her it was a VERY bad grooming job. She was very sorry and offered to re-groom Charlie the following day. I met her on a Sunday (when they were actually closed) and she did a great job. We've been loyal customers thus far and had fine experiences until today. Just putting a warning out for any owners with double-coated dogs or dogs with longer hair, do not take your dog here. We took our dog in for a groom and his entire top coat was shaved off after I specifically stated "Please do not shave him down". The groomer asked for more clarification and I gave it and I left feeling okay about the groom. I picked up my dog and he was completely shaved down, no top coat left at all. I asked to speak with the groomer and they said "Oh you must have meant a perimeter trim." This should have been communicated/clarified before the groom not after. Shaving down a double-coated dog can be dangerous especially in an Oklahoma summer since the double-coat provides thermoregulation for this specific breed. I think this error comes down to a lack of communication and education. What happened to us seems to be a common theme with this place and the damage done will take months to fix with my dog's coat and he's clearly uncomfortable, itchy, etc (can't blame him). read more

We have been taking our dogs to paw spa for several years. Our pups love going there. They always do a great job. Our small dog can be a handful. Destiny always knows how to handle her and always does a terrific job. Our dogs always get excited when we take them there. We also have an Aussie. They do an amazing job on him. ***NEVER TAKING MY GIRL BACK!*** ***NOT RECOMMENDED FOR GOLDEN RETRIEVER OWNERS*** Took my golden retriever to paw spa elite for the third time just today, only to get her back missing all the beautiful feathering on her legs, stomach, ribs and missing front mane. All we asked for was a bath and tidy, a light trim around her butt, the mane on her chest, and to trim her feathering on her legs and stomach areas. What we got was a complete shave of everything!! Additionally, she was nicked during her shave a few times, leaving blood and cuts and she was still wet when we picked her up. The shop also claimed they had notes and pictures to help guide them through her previous grooming appointments. They failed miserably at following their own notes. Customer service is lacking. When calling the shop, to ask what happened, my wife and I were rudely told "whatever, I'll have my manager call you." Sadly, we won't be returning. Our past experiences with paw spa elite were good ones, but this drastic turn of events, rude employees and managers saying "we can't glue your dogs hair back on" leaves a sour taste in our mouth. After reading other reviews I see they like to reply with guilt trips and lies so I guess take it all with a grain of salt lol. If I could rate less than 0 i would.. they SHAVED the entirety, including the undercoat, of our Australian shepherd after very specifically asking them to ONLY use scissors... the groomer immediately apologized and admitted guilt.. and when we spoke with the owner we asked if they were trained in cutting undercoats the owner of this establishment proceeded to scream and THREATEN with violence? Maybe if you own a business you should work on anger management. And learn how to properly cut fur.. but anyways just go anywhere else literally anywhere. Even a home cut is better lol. I'm also including a photo where they shaved so close to his chest in one spot where his skin is red and raw :( poor baby. I can't say enough good things about this place! We have been taking our babies here for years after several unfavorable experiences at other groomers. Paw Spa goes above and beyond for our babies. Zizzy has allergies and always needs special shampoo and sensitive skin treatments. This groomer goes out of their way to make sure they have items stocked for her needs. We've never had one bad experience with them and they go every 3-4wks (for the past 3yrs) so we've had enough trips to say the consistency is there. We love them. They love our babies as if they were their own. They do quality work. I recommend them to everyone I know! read more

My daughter took her 1 year old Maltese mix here and they kept the dog for 4 hours without any updates. When she went to pick him up, he wasn't groomed at all! They told her that he was scared of the clippers and was vomiting and trying to nip at the groomer. Mind you, this dog has been groomed several times prior at his regular groomer in Las Vegas with zero issues. They charged her $55!! If he was being difficult, then the first thing they should have done is call the owner and ask how they should proceed. To charge someone $55 and not do the service is absolutely unacceptable. read more

Sloppy and neglectful at grooming. When I called to speak with manager and share how awful my dog looked and how much pain my dog was in she promptly told me ' your dog was groomed by our lead groomer and she is our absolute best'. We also acquired fleas and spent $200 to treat our dogs with flea treatment after using Paw Spa. While they did refund my money when I asked I cannot in good faith not have other people be warned about this place. read more

We took our 8-month old Husky in for his first grooming since rescuing him last month - I had been referred to this business in South OKC by other Husky owners and immediately booked an appointment thinking they knew how to accommodate for this breed. I dropped him off with no issue and went about my business - 3 hours later I called in to see the status and when they thought he'd be ready. The owner (I believe) had answered the phone and said she wasn't in the salon but she'd find out - I got another call 10 minutes later from someone else who let me know that my dog was having a hard time staying on the table and kept jumping off so it was taking longer than they hoped. Huskies are furry, energetic creatures, so I had no problem with waiting as long it needed (already feeling the guilt knowing my boy can be a handful). We finally get notified he is ready for pick-up and after getting him in the car I see he has blood on the side of his mouth and is limping on one leg. I can understand if he was difficult and made it hard for the groomers to keep him at bay, but if he was injured in anyway I would have appreciated a call or at least a being told at pick-up. I was only told that he was jumping off the table and got out of one of the kennels - if this was so extreme to where he drew blood and hurt his paw, I should have been notified. While he is clean and ready for summer, I'm very sad that the first groomer we were told good things about failed to keep me informed on his safety. I was nervous enough going in, so I don't think I'll be returning for mine and my pup's sake. read more

I went to the new location in South OKC/Moore for the first time. The scheduling process was easy and was done online. They send reminder texts as well which was appreciated. They just opened a few days ago so I am trying to give them grace but I asked for a full groom on my Corgi/Sheepdog mix and only received the Bath and Tidy. His ears were not trimmed at all nor was his coat which was the main reason for the groom since he has a double coat and is shedding like crazy. I told the groomer this when I dropped him off. When I picked him up, I asked if they could even his ears up since they look scraggly. The man did but they are not evenly cut. I feel for $75 plus $10 tip it should include a full trim. They did give him a cute bandana and pup cup but overall the grooming could have been better for the price paid. read more

Recently took a goldendoodle to get groomed. We made sure she was freshly brushed and all doodle maintenance was taken care of before we dropped it off. Talked to the groomer and specifically addressed what was wanted. Requested a rounded summer cut, but upon pick up it looked like she just picked the shortest size and shaved 90% of her body. Lots of uneven hair on the body. Just overall, we aren't impressed with the quality for the amount we paid and we wouldn't want anyone else to make the same mistake we did. read more

I wish I could say my experience here was better than it was. My dog is very, very high energy. I took her to the Paw Spa today for a nail trim and bath. Upon arrival, I was told I would get a text with a photo of my dog and her bandana for Easter when she was ready, about 1.5 hours from when I dropped her off. I got a text message about 50 mins later asking me to "come get my dog asap, as she is not letting them trim her nails". They said she was drying off from her bath and we could try again with me there to hopefully calm her down. When I got there, she was back in the bath as she had apparently gotten so upset that she got sick everywhere. I waited and when she came out, they took her back to the table again. I offered to go back there or even to muzzle her as sometimes this calms her down during her shots. All they did was try the nail file again and she jumped off the table, so they brought her to me and said they would send me the invoice. They charged me $70 to give my dog a bath. I asked if I had to pay the full amount as I did not receive the full service, and they insisted that I did. She didn't have a bandana, I didn't receive a photo, and they didn't (couldn't, through no fault of theirs) trim her nails. That is absurd to me. She weighs 47 pounds (a medium sized dog), but they charged me for a large dog without even getting all of the benefits. They were not rude or impolite, but that is ludicrous and lacks integrity. I was really hoping we had found our permanent groomer but now our search begins again. read more

We took our English Shepard to see Whitnee today. As typical, he tried to go back out the front door the minute he understood he was staying there. It has been a few weeks since I took my mini Aussie in to have a bath and pawdicure. I am still so upset about what they did to her. When I arrived Brandy said bath, pawdicure, and trim up the bottom? I assumed they knew there business and would only trim a small bit off her back side. When we picked her up we discovered that they used thinning shears all over body, took a bunch of hair off her belly, and cut off all the hair on the back of legs and bottom. She still looks like a baboon from the back. When I got home and saw her I cried and called Brandy. I could tell that she knew they had made a mistake. She was very nice and did give me my money back but everyday I look at her and it just upsets me so. I'm just not sure she will ever be the same. I wasn't going to post a review but my husband kept pressing me to do it so others will know what could happen. This was at the Mustang location. read more
