I just have to brag on Phoebe, she helped me with my reservation. She went above and beyond my expectations and I am so thankful that she answered the phone and helped me.

    Butter Board at Capriccio Grill

This was a 3.5 star stay. We rolled in on a Saturday around 6pm. Didn't know where to pull up the car and ended up on the wrong side of the hotel. Once we found the valet--super long line of cars--it was clear it would be easier to self park so we did, no problems there as Husband had smartly gone inside and checked in already (used room key for parking entry.) Surprised at how enormous this place is between the hotel and parking lot. Everything was loud and kinda chaotic, downtown, the lobby, everything. Not my favorite vibe, also not the hotel's fault. We ate at Capriccio Grill. Food was very good (loved the Butter Board!) but the restaurant itself had that feel of a place where they serve breakfast lunch and dinner in a busy hotel 24/7 so no ambience to speak of. I would love to try the French place, Chez Philippe, when/if we return. Stopped by the bar for a to-go drink and it was long enough to note that the famous chocolate mousse duck was $13 on the menu but we had just been charged $18 at the deli for one to go. Made me feel less like a guest and more like a tourist being taken advantage of. It looked good but definitely wasn't some amazing dessert for that price. The room itself was quiet from the hotel side, despite being right next to the elevators, but there was an event at Autozone Park and a band was playing right outside our 9th floor window for most of our one night stay (until 10pm, started up again at 8am on Sunday.) Also not the hotel's fault but just one more unfortunate occurrence. The room was huge and comfy, loved the Nespresso machine. The bathroom on the other hand was tiny, but fine for one night. Super clean. We didn't see the ducks but I was enchanted by all the duck touches everywhere, from the duck-shaped soap to the duck-shaped single ice cube in Husband's old fashioned to the duck embroidery on one of the pillows and more. Good for them to lean into the duck tradition! Without exception, every employee was very nice and helpful. I would give this hotel another try knowing what I know now because I think it has the potential be a much better experience.

US presidents & General Robert E Leee stayed here. Now at 11:00 AM we line up to see the Peabody ducks take a ride in the elevator from their rooftop home to the lobby, waddle across the red carpet & hop into the fountain until 5:00 when they move up the elevator to the the rooftop to the music of John Philip Sousa. We got to the lobby bar at 4:15 and we were able to get a seat at the reserved duck master table. Steps & a red carpet are coming down and the ducks will pass in front of us on the way out of the fountain at 5 o'clock. By 4:30 they had the lobby bar roped off with people standing behind the ropes and on the second floor.

This is a must see hotel lobby . Beautiful craftsmanship. I missed the duck walk, they only come out at 11am and 5 pm. Desserts at the place off the lobby were excellent.

Right the heart of Memphis and has the famous duck walk! You can actually see the duck walk at the second floor but if you want pictures up close as they come out the elevators, then come early (an hour or more before) to get a good seat. Otherwise, you can just wait until all the busy entry is done and take pictures of the ducks as they enjoy their time at the fountain. We ate at the restaurant near the lobby and it was great food and quiet. Very different from the lobby restaurant where we couldn't even hear each other. Overall a good experience and worth a try if you're in Memphis.

Hung out at the lobby bar and had a drink. Came back at 5pm to watch the ducks go back home. Definitely a thing to do in Memphis. Very beautiful lobby. You can walk around and look at the historic peabody museum. A lot of displays and things to see in the hotel. Come early if you want a good spot to watch the ducks. They arrive at 10 or 11am and leave at 5pm.

The post for the sink is less than an inch from the edge of the toilet. Also, I have sexy toes.

Everybody seems very nice. The customer service is great. We valet parked the car for $37 a night. This room cost us around $300 for the night, and it was tiny. They offered us an upgrade for $90 a night. We declined it. However, the bathroom in the room we did get was so small that I could not sit on the toilet straight. The sink is so close to the toilet there's no way to sit properly. Also, I did not take a picture of it because it was kind of gross, but I had to clean the toilet when we got in the room because there was pubic hairs on the toilet. Second sidenote, don't think you're going to be able to poop in this bathroom. There's no fan. The positives of this hotel is that the lobby looks beautiful and everyone we spoke to was very nice. The valet was great,

Historic hotel, with great ambiance. Known for 90 years of the red carpet duck March - twice a day . Every staff member was incredible. Right I hear of downtown. Pictures do this place no justice.

Cool hotel especially lobby area but the room is outdated and needs renovation. They did a great job with cleanliness, bathroom fixtures shined. Beds were comfortable and the room layout was practical and made good use of the space. I appreciated the espresso maker. The Peabody branded water bottles and mugs were a nice touch.

Bellhop, service representative, the bellhop man broke my glass with liquid and put it back on my luggage spilling out over my shoes. The repet lyes and say she will take care of it. When management got involved the next day she said oh I forgot. Then took extra money out of my account 593 dollars to be exact because one manager said I will refund your money back. Nope they didn't and on top of the they put someone else care under the room and charge me for it. This was the craziest experience I ever had never again

Lovely historic property and very friendly staff, but one reason I chose this place was due to the athletic club and needing great workouts. It is not disclosed that it is under renovation. The temporary spot is completely unacceptable. When hotels of this calibre usually have these renovations, they provide a day pass to an equal quality gym nearby.

We chose this property based on its history, reviews and location to other events we were planning to do while in Memphis. This is a great property with a eclectic ambiance. A lot of people k are familiar with this Hotel for its famous " Duck March" ( no spoilers here, you'll have to experience it for yourself). The Hotel has a luxurious feel, and staff at all levels are attentive, friendly and focused on delivering an upscale service experience. The lobby is vibrant, with a nice bar, and plenty of comfortable casual seating. A pianist plays throughout the day, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are very nicely appointed, with very comfortable beds, and ample room not to feel cramped. The Hotel has a restaurant, coffee and pastry shop, as well as a lounge where you could relax or watch a sporting event on TV, as well as a few other retail stores throughout. There are also some walkable restaurants close by, so recommend checking them out. We would definitely make this our first choice if we are back in Memphis, and highly recommend it.

I spent 4 nights at the Peabody while in town for business, and I was impressed with the hospitality from every department--front desk, the lobby cocktail servers, housekeeping, and banquets staff. I felt right at home in my quaint Executive Queen on the 9th floor with views of the baseball park. The rooms are a little small when compared to modern day accommodations, but I love the cozy feeling of old-timey hotels. The extra service at the Peabody puts this stay above the rest with daily housekeeping and nightly turndown service. I was so grateful to sneak away to my room between meeting sessions to find a clean and fresh bed to relax. Also, every evening the comfortable waffle robe and a couple chocolates were waiting for me to unwind and fall asleep. The beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable--a rare occurrence in a hotel. If I am ever visiting Memphis again, I will only stay at The Peabody. The luxury accommodations are surprising considering the price point. Plus, the location is walkable to Beale Street, several foodie hot spots, and the River Walk along the Mississippi. There really is not another option in Downtown Memphis.

Even among some of the great Tribute properties I've stayed in, The Memphian really stands out as a flagship for what the brand can achieve. The interior decoration is fantastic. They've managed to blend a moody, sophisticated glamour with the eclectic, "weird" soul of Midtown. From the bobber chandelier in the lobby to the curated local art in the corridors, the attention to detail is incredible. It feels like a high-end boutique experience that actually respects the history of the neighborhood rather than just painting over it. The first-floor restaurant, Complicated Pilgrim, is excellent. It's a great anchor for the hotel, offering a space that feels grand yet approachable. Whether you're there for a full meal or just a drink, the vibe is spot on and perfectly complements the rest of the hotel's design. My room was large, luxurious, and checked every single box for a high-end stay. The finishes are top-tier, and the layout is well-conceptualized. The only minor nitpick was the view of the parking lot, but honestly, when the interior is this well-done, you spend more time looking at the room than out the window. You couldn't ask for a better position in Memphis. Being right in Overton Square puts you in a perfect spot for walking to a huge variety of bars, restaurants, and shops. It's the creative heart of the city, and the hotel fits right into that energy. To top it off, the staff were all great--professional, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Our stay was a bit bittersweet due to timing it was New Year's Eve, and there was a rooftop party that, while fun sounding, was much louder than expected and went on until around 1 or 2 a.m. The noise didn't bother my boyfriend, but it was a bit disruptive for me. That said, this seems to be an exception; rooftop bar normally closes much earlier, so noise likely isn't an issue most nights. Still, if you're a light sleeper, it's worth requesting a room on a lower floor or calling ahead to confirm there are no late-night events. Keep in mind we were on the 6th floor and there's another floor between us and you could hear them moving tables and chairs in order to clean up... Fortunately, we didn't have an early checkout, so I was able to sleep in and woke up refreshed around 9:30 a.m. The Lavazza coffee is excellent definitely try it if you stay here. I also appreciated the Crystalli chilled still water station, which was a nice touch. The room didn't have a clock, which was a minor annoyance, and the one outlet had non-functional USB ports. Fortunately, another outlet worked, and we had charging bases, so it wasn't too disruptive. But remember people travel with your charging bases not just the cords!
