I cannot recommend this practice enough! Dr Bergman and Dr Hlobik have been amazing. We met Dr Bergman shortly after our daughter's birth and have been with him 6 years. He is full of medical facts and knowledge but is also silly enough to make the kids feel at ease. Since I have a daughter, she seems to enjoy having a female check her out and Dr Hlobik has also been amazing - understanding and compassionate. They are very responsive and kind to frazzled first time parents. The nurses and staff have also been great. They remember my daughter and joke around with her. It is a welcoming and pleasant experience, even in bad circumstances. read more

Be a new patient for this office it's like to make an appt. with the king of England! I'm not sure if the Dr. knows about it, but he has a very complicate front desk- "lazy one" . I called to make an appt. for my kids ( new patients/ PPO insurance ) and they told me I have to fill out all the paper work and returned to them. So I did it!. I went there personally one month after, and the front desk "deny" to make an appt. because I need to transfer the records of my kids to their office. I explained that Im making the first appt.( well visit ) because I would love to meet the Dr. first, and It would take another 3 weeks to get the records of the kids so it would delay the visit....She did not care at all! This person even told me that the wife of the Dr. would call me/ She was out of the country... It never happend! Don't loose your time. There are better offices and Dr's in this area! Great doctors here. I like that they calm down tendencies to panic and follow science-based rather than giving antibiotics for viruses or supporting other common woo. They have given antibiotics when it's bacterial. If you're nervous, they don't give you a hard time about coming in even if the kid gets miraculously better once he comes in. The office staff recognizes us by name and is always kind. There is never excessive waiting. I moved 35 minutes away but still go here because it's so good. read more

We are very pleased for our child to be a patient of Dr. Bergman. He is self confident and very helpful. But we can not express the same feelings about nurses and the lady on the counter desk. We call them before coming to office to weigh our child. They gave us a time, we were there at the time they gave, but the nurse was quite rude to us. She made us to feel like "why you are here and make me work" actually she only supposed to weigh the child and that's it. They supposed either not to schedule us to come or behave at least normal. Although doctor told us "you can come to weigh the child whenever you want" we can not understand why nurses behave like that. read more

At first, I felt that The Pediatric Place was a great choice for reasons that most of the other reviewers mentioned but I began to regret my decision once my child's health concerns were not taken seriously by the doctor or staff. Similarly to Tara N., my concerns were always dismissed as, "It's normal," or, "It's just a cold," which was untrue most of the time. It took 4 appointments and 1.5 months of my son, a newborn at the time, crying in pain all day and night and spitting up more frequently than average for Dr. Bergman to diagnose him with reflux and reluctantly prescribe him medication that relieved his pain right away. At previous appointments, I brought up that he seemed to have reflux but I was always told, "No, this is normal." Months later, during cold and flu season, my son got sick with an awful recurring sinus infection and had unusually high fevers (102 degrees or higher) overnight often for a few weeks. Like before, it took what seemed like forever to get a proper diagnosis after being repeatedly told, "It's just a cold. It'll go away." The day that my son finally got a proper diagnosis, the receptionist made a snarky remark about me during check-in, telling my then 5 month old, "Your Mom is always here. You visit us every week," like I was a nuisance for wanting my son to get better and Dr. Bergman told me I was being a worry wart and not to bring my son in unless his fever remained over 102 degrees. No medication was prescribed and it took a little over 2 full weeks for my son's sinus infection to go away. Needless to say, that was our last appointment. Despite the many good things The Pediatric Place has going for it, I would not recommend it to anyone unless they enjoy: 1. Their child being sick unnecessarily for extended periods of time. 2. Getting sick from their child over and over because of reluctance to prescribe medication when it is needed. 3. Many sleepless nights watching over your child's health like a hawk. 4. Missing numerous days from work because your child is still sick when they should be feeling better. read more

My daughter has be going to Dr.Bergman for 8 years, and now my son goes to him as well. If you ever have a son -- Dr.Bergman does rounds at NSH Atlanta and did my sons circumcision and it was soooo smooth! Every time we have an appt -- we never wait for than 10 mins. I have brought my 18-month son here since he was 1-month old. The staff here has always been friendly and helpful. I love the positive attitude I get from Dr. Bergman, and really appreciate and love the knowledge and education I get from Dr. Holbik at each visit. She has answered so many of my after-hour calls and I'm not sure if she even realizes how thankful I am for her response each time. Both doctors are really helpful and I appreciate their service to keeping my child well! read more

We have been going to The Pediatric Place since my oldest was born. She will be seven in December, and we now have a three-year-old also. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Bergman and his entire staff. They always make it a priority to see my girls if either is sick. They also answer any medical questions I may have. Dr. Bregman himself has gone out of his way to help me and my girls. We recently moved a little bit further from the office but we are sticking with The Pediatric Place because we love everyone there so much! I'm a pretty tough critic when it comes to my children's care and I would recommend this practice to anyone that asks. read more

I've been taking my child(ren) to Dr Bergman for 4 years. He is very thorough and doesn't overprescribe antibiotics. He listens to my concerns. I've always been able to get an appointment, even last minute. He returns urgent weekend calls immediately. He came to the hospital twice for the birth of my second child (even though it wasn't his regular hospital) and offered to have her first visit in my home since I couldn't drive. His staff is friendly, accommodating, and they answer the phone (not automated). His office is clean and has ample parking. read more

We've been seeing Dr.Bergman for almost 9 years and we're always pleased. I see a lot of comments "Dr didn't prescribe anything" and that's one of the reasons I love Dr Bergman and why my child barely gets sick as she has grown. If you want a doctor that will think your child is dying when they have a cold and give your child a "magic pill" every time...... you're at the wrong place. Dr.Bergman does not give your child medicines they don't need and lets their body fight off colds on it's own. I hated a previous doctor that we went to that all he did was prescribe medications to my child every single time.... for cold or anything.... we got a prescription. You have no idea how bad that is for a child and you should at all cost avoid medicines... unless it's an infection or something more serious. Kids don't get better overnight and parents need to allow their kid's body to heal with time and not with a magic pill. Trust me... the end result is an awesome immune system and a child that haven't had a simple cold in over 4 years. THANK YOU DR. We used to go to a different practice in Sandy Springs. We switched to Dr. Bergman about 5 years ago, when my younger child was born. I've never looked back! This practice is fabulous. Dr. Bergman is a clinician with an impressive list of accomplishments (degree from Yale, etc.). He's been practicing for many years. But also, as noted in another review, he's very calm, down-to-earth, and not full of himself. He responds to emails and texts (LOVE that!), he calls back quickly, even in the evenings. He explains things patiently and draws pictures! I also love that I don't feel like a number in this practice. The staff knows my kids by names - yes, that really exists! (in the other practice I went to, we were among a gazillion patients) Here - it feels homey. My kids know their favorite nurses. It's just a good fit. I couldn't be happier. read more

I moved to this area roughly 3 years ago and choose this practice simply as it is a convenient location. I have been blown away buy the service the staff provides and the care that Dr Bergman provides. Every time i take my now 5 year old son in the doctor takes the time to listen and talk with me and my wife and his bed side manner with my son is impeccable. I wish my personal general practitioner was as kind and thorough as Dr Bergman. read more

I've taken my LO here twice bc he was coughing, runny nose with green snot, and fevering but both times he was sent home with no medication and was told it's just a cold -he will get over it. Both times I had to take my son to a second doctor/urgent care/er the next day and was told he had an ear infection which explains the fevering! He was giving antibiotics from the other docs and feel better within that day. I've wasted my time and co pays while my son is still sick. I'm so frustrated with this practice and have decided to switch doctor as of today. My son was fevering for a whole week and they did nothing about it or prescribed him no medicine! It's ridiculous! I will never go to this practice again nor refer anyone here. The nurses are mean and not friendly at all. To think they work with children they should be a little nicer! I've never been to any pediatric place where nurses are so mean and rude! read more

Since we moved to the Atlanta area, I have taken my 2 older boys to several pediatricians, but none were right for us-- there was always something that I disliked about the practice or that was inconvenient. I had a baby and felt it was urgent that we find the right doctor. When we went to Pediatric Place, we were impressed with the short wait times, cleanliness, friendliness and knowledgeable doctors. I had my baby 3 weeks early - just before I was to have one week off of work to handle such last-minute, baby-prep-related things such as "choose a pediatrician"! I had to choose while in the hospital, on a whim (not prepared/had not done my homework!). I chose Georgetown Peds. Well, all I'll say about that is that it was not a good fit. The Dr. was "full of herself" and the front desk personnel were not exactly "friendly". Before my baby's one month check up, I did my homework (asked neighbors who they used/preferred, researched reviews, etc.) and switched to Pediatric Place (Dr. Bergman). To put my feelings for this place, the staff and Dr. Bergman in a short phrase: "a breath of fresh air". When making my appointment over the phone, I spoke to Cee Cee (sp??), who couldn't have been nicer. I felt as though I was speaking to a friend and *not* someone who's got 15 callers waiting on hold for her to help. When Dr. Bergman walked into the exam room at our appointment, he introduced himself to my husband and me as "David", then he said "Dr. Bergman" and shook our hands, which made him seem personable (the antithesis of the Doctor at Georgetown). He complimented us on our baby more than once and was very sweet. He gave us his personal cell, he makes house calls, and he's very "clinical" yet personable; literally, the perfect doc! I'm thankful my neighbors recommended this practice!! My *only* suggestion: have more of a separation between the 'well area" and "sick area". Honestly, LOVE This place!! read more

Dr. Bergman was great, but his nurse was inexperienced and was visibly stressed when trying to administer my child's vaccines. She botched one of the shots by injecting the needle too slowly so when my child flailed the needle was dragged across the muscle and up out of the skin before the whole vaccine could be administered, causing a long scratch on the leg and a sore spot that lasted days. I don't remember the nurse's name but I wouldn't recommend her if I could remember. Worst experience ever. read more
