Red flags right off the bat: dirty lobby floors and glass paned doors leading to the back area The receptionist was so busy talking on her phone, being very passive, definitely not something one would expect with a business having "Urgent" in the name. The staff do not escort you to/or from your room. You are simply directed to room coming in, and pretty much on your own to find your way out. The unfortunate "Im' just here" attitude - ZERO empathy - is disturbing, as well. Most importantly, is that I was not truly heard by the treating physician, Kim. A barely 20 minute visit to the tune of $400... seriously??!! After this visit, I would sooner go to an emergency room.

Not the greatest shopping center to makes lefts in or out of. I grew up down the road from here and remember this building as Blockbuster. :) Ambiance: clean, modern, sleek waiting room. A little quiet and sterile, but for what the building is, that's OK. Care/service: was there for my daughter, and we no longer live in the area. Chose this place based on my Dad's recommendation, location on Google maps, and that it had great hours of availability. The gal at the front wasn't too friendly, but maybe her coffee hadn't kicked in yet because she was really nice when we were departing. The nurse and the PA who we eventually saw in the back were so warm and professional. They really put my daughter at ease. From walking in the door with an online scheduled appointment of 10 to leaving was under an hour. We saw two other patients exit, and the building was very quiet. I imagine that the wait can be FAR longer during a busier time of the day, so I am so glad that our experience was a prompt and as pleasant as it was!

Dr. Kim performed no real assessment and offered no solutions beyond a basic urinalysis. I had to ask for bloodwork, and I also had to ask for a prescription to help manage the pain I was experiencing. There was no attempt to investigate the cause of my symptoms or provide meaningful guidance. I was essentially told that if I wanted any real effort in diagnosing the issue, I should go to the ER or see my primary care physician--making the urgent care visit feel pointless. The entire interaction felt rushed and dismissive. Dr. Kim seemed impatient and irritated by my questions, and the initial consult lasted no more than three minutes before he excused himself, saying he had other things to do. I left feeling unheard, unsupported, and no closer to understanding or resolving my symptoms. This experience fell far short of what I would expect from an urgent care visit, especially when seeking help for something painful and concerning.

I checked in at the kiosk and waited. The NP, Sara, came out to see if I was there for an appointment and I let her know it said a 2 hour wait time. She checked her schedule and then got me in right away. She was super kind and wonderful bedside manner. Got through some pre-checks quickly and then did a Covid/strep/flu test. Pretty sure I was past the contagious period due to my symptoms being a few days ago. She had me wait in waiting area for about 10 minutes while she ran the labs. It all came back as negative and I was on my way. I think I was there for 25 minutes max. The quickness was wonderful but her demeanor made the visit better. I do like the advance of technology now bc you get a text after the visit letting you know about logging in for visit details and lab details. Easy transition from start to finish! Thank you, Sara!

Only bad experience was a man who was new at Decatur I believe he might have been a nurse and he was checking me in at front desk. Was by far the ugliest encounter I have ever had at a doctor's office. Immediately he was handled and I never saw him again at either location. Pretty sure he was let go. I have extremely rare condition which causes rare subset conditions that most doctors pass off on me as "difficult". The Doctors here and their P.A.'s have always gone the mile for me and it has made a difference in my overall quality of life and care. One of my adult children is also now seen here for my same rare condition. If you have been treated badly for ongoing issues and conditions that won't happen at PCC in Sandy Springs.

The exam went smoothly though I did waited for forever in the waiting room and exam room for the doctor, which was fine since most clinics are like that. After my results were in, the clinic refused to explain my report over the phone and insist for me to go in again. Eventually, I finally obtained a copy of my results and discussed the results with a doctor at school health center, I knew I had to schedule a follow up procedure for an abnormal result. I scheduled the procedure with the Primary Care Center, went in, waited in the waiting room then exam room while the doctor was seating in the hallway and laughing/chating with someone over the phone for over 20min. Finally, after she was done talking, she explained my results to me and told me that she had to refer me to someone for my follow up procedure. APPARENTLY THEY DON"T OFFER THE PROCEDURE THAT I MADE AN APPT FOR! Anyway, horrible staff, horrible doctors. Horrible practice without the slightest care for their patients. Save your copay and find some other clinics to go to.

Definitely wanted to leave this review ASAP considering all of the negative reviews for this place…read morebecause that was not AT ALL my experience! ***LOCATION*** There is plenty of parking around the area. I live so close that I actually walk here, that was one reason that I decided to give them a try despite the horrible reviews. In less than an hour, I can walk here, have my appointment and be home. So it is easy to fit in a visit during a lunch break, early in the am our right after work. The only thing was that I had a hard time finding the floor. I walked into the building from the street and only had access to that floor which was other offices. Then somehow ended up in the parking garage and finally found an elevator that would take me to the proper floor. I still don't know how I got up there. I am not very direction-oriented lol. SO it may be just me, but I felt actually accessing the floor of the building that these offices are in was hard, but besides that, there is plenty of parking. ***EXPERIENCE*** I came in and it said masks were mandatory. They had some sitting up front and I asked if I could take one since I didn't even think about brining one. They said yes it is up to me. So, I think they aren't really mandatory now, but everyone inside had one on. They greeted me and got my info. I filled out the forms online on my phone and it was quick and simple. They then called me back quickly and the nurse went over vitals and medical history. She was a young girl not much older than me, if not younger. I would say she wasn't the friendliest person I have ever met, but she was normal. She wasn't rude by any means, just nothing extra haha. The doctor then came in and she was also pretty young, probably in her 30s. She was friendly and sort of joked with me about a few things but in a serious and time-efficient way lol. Not really sure how to describe it, but she makes you feel comfortable enough to ask questions and doesn't judge you if you have any! She discussed things thoroughly with me and went over all options and really just overall explained everything well! She gave me a prescription, which I had filled at Publix across the street, but after I left Publix called me and said they didn't carry that brand anymore. The doctor's office immediately called me as well to verify if I wanted to use a different brand. I said yes and they sent over the new prescription right away. They definitely handled the situation very quickly! This visit was a couple of weeks ago, but I just got a call yesterday from the office checking in and also letting me know I could see all my history and info online or on the app. They sent me an email so I could download the app and create an account. I did that and it only took a few seconds. I could see all of my info in the app. I think it was cool I can track everything they did and even see my records like blood pressure, oxygen levels etc. I clicked on the bill section and have no current bills. The visit was covered by insurance. After reading the other reviews, I was scared, but for the moment I haven't received any outrageous bills or scams haha. Everyone seemed nice. I am assuming they must have changed management or something since the very bad reviews date back to 2017-2020. Fingers crossed that everything stays good, because I really liked the doctors and nurses and this place is so conveniently located for me! I will update if anything changes.

I'm writing this review as I sit in the office waiting for anyone to come acknowledge my existence…read more My appointment was 1:30 and it's now 2:30. I spent 30 minutes in the waiting room before they moved me to a back room and made me wait again. I popped my head out to inquire if anyone was going to come check on me and she told me to go back into my room. No doctor's office has ever made me feel like such an inconvenience. Not to mention I'm postpartum and had to secure childcare so I could come here, only for them to act like my time doesn't matter. Doctor finally came in to see me at 2:40 and spent less than 5 minutes with me. Every year I tell myself I'm going to find a new doctor because the visit is THAT unpleasant. This is my final straw. You won't see me again and anyone thinking of coming here be warned what you will get. I also want to add that last year when I came for my physical I was pregnant, told them I was pregnant multiple times, and the doctor came in and asked if I wanted to go on birth control. Then they called to tell me some of my blood work was off and I needed to come back in. Turns out the readings are normal for a pregnant woman but they never marked it down on my chart. Absurd. I'm sure some of the people here are nice enough but it shouldn't feel like a burden to get quality care. ---------- Updated 8/28/26: I've received the summary of my visit and they have me listed as 8 weeks pregnant even though I spoke with the nurse and doctor about being 8 months postpartum and breastfeeding. They also listed that the doctor performed a lung/chest exam which was "normal and clear" and an abdominal exam that was "soft, non tender" and I'm wondering how they determined that considering the doctor didn't touch my body at any point during the time she was in the exam room with me. No stethoscope, no pushing on my belly, nada. I'll be following up to make sure they correct this record and since I'm anticipating them making it impossible, I'll also be contacting my insurance and whoever else necessary to make sure this is fixed.
