It was alright, I was just expecting a lot more. Appetizers were good, but there was nothing truly special about them that made them memorable or stand out. Overall, the entrees were decent, but also very plain. (Their Mixed Grill was the best thing we ate). Service was pretty slow and mediocre, but in the end, they got our food on the table, and didn't forget anything. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a nice night out with their group or family, but I wouldn't go here expecting anything extravagant or shockingly delicious.

I visited The Pepper Mill on my drive home from the cottage. The food was great! I ordered the regular size smoked chicken carbonara pasta while my partner had the chicken club sandwich. Both were excellent. I loved the garlic pickles they used on the club sandwich - totally made it! The pasta was delicious too. It fed me for three separate meals. It was $2 less to get the smaller size so I thought, "what's $2 more!?". I'm happy I did as my fridge was empty when I got home so it made for a yummy a late night bite and breakfast the next morning. I was worried the chicken pieces would be huge since I was completed meat'd out but the chicken pieces were bite size & cubed. Plenty of prosciutto, too. The garlic bread was probably the best I've ever had, no lie. I should also add how much I liked their fries. They were served hot and crispy and not too salty. I've heard really good things about their burgers so I'll have to try those next time. The parking situation can be a bit tight during long weekends so keep that in mind. When we arrived there were plenty of spots and by the time we left we had another vehicle waiting to take our place. PS, the dress code seems to vary. I saw lots of locals dressed up and the tourists not so dressed up. I wreaked of bug spray and campfire and was wearing an XL males wife-beater, greasy bun & Blue Jays cap and short shorts and was allowed to dine in just fine. Don't by shy, head on in!

My steak looked like this when I got it.

Great little restaurant with wonderful food. Service is a bit on the slow side from time to time but, worth the wait.

The evening we were there, it was busy with a lot of big groups. I won't recommend coming here for an intimate dining as the noise level is quite high. We shared Wild Caught Lump Crab Cake ($28), 26 oz Porterhouse ($85) and Grilled Broccolini ($9). Steak was cooked to perfection. Perfect for sharing! We also able to order cocktails from the lobby bar: Lakes. Grilled Peach Mojito was refreshing but a little ghetto for $15? Maybe a little more refined mixology skill would be good. Service was really slow from the delivery of cocktails and the food. The kitchen definitely overwhelmed. If you stayed overnight in the resort, it is worth giving it a try.

To say he went above and beyond is an understatement! We got engaged today. Brendan brought us a beautiful congratulatory dessert as well as a complimentary dessert for our guests. He filled our wine glasses to enjoy with dessert and generally was just a pleasure to have as a server. It's a joy to see someone take so much pride in their career! I would come stay here again just to experience dining here with Brendan again. Highly recommend!

*** Update from our previous visit ***…read more My family had been to Era 67 in late September, and had a horrendous experience. After we posted our review the owner, Brian, contacted us to discuss what happened. He then offered for us to come back and give them another shot. We accepted, and returned this past Sunday (November 10th) When we arrived, we were seated quickly in the private room. Brian extended his apologies again and thanked us for returning. Our drink order was taken and delivered in a timely manner. My husband was impressed with his Old Fashioned, and said it was well made. We placed our appetizer and dinner choices at the same time. The appetizers were a bit slow to come out, however we attributed that to it being a busy evening. No big deal for us. We had the stuffed Yorkies, and the bruschetta. Both were excellent. Our dinners took longer than expected, but again, it was a busy night. 2 of us has the braised lamb shank, 2 had the Prime Rib special, and I had the striploin. They were worth the wait!! My brother wanted to lick his plate when he finished his lamb and said it was the best he's ever had. My steak was perfectly cooked, and the prime rib was also well enjoyed. Although we didn't have much space left, we elected to try their flourless chocolate torte for dessert, 2 pieces to be shared amongst us. It was super rich, but came with a raspberry coulis to help cut it. Excellent!! All in all, our experience was a million times better than our last. For me, personally, I do wish the food came out a bit faster, but aside from that, we were all very pleased. I've given it a 4 only because of the delay in between courses. The food was still worth the wait though. I know that my family plans to return. My mother wants to try the lamb after seeing how much my father and brother enjoyed theirs. Thanks for a great night, Brian.
