The Percy Inn is one of the cutest places I've ever stayed at, and that's coming from someone that has been to dozens of hostels and bed and breakfasts. We stayed at the Ralph Waldo Emerson Room in order to have our own private deck, and we loved every second we spent here. It was such a nice spot to enjoy a glass of wine as we watched the sunset. The place is conveniently located walking distance to everything in Portland, but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. What makes this place special, besides the cute rooms with plenty of northern charm and unique touches, is the staff. They inn keeper was so accommodating and attentive. They gave us clear instructions on how to check in since we arrived at 3AM, and were always on top of our room and needs. The breakfast was as cute as the kitchen area of the Inn. The whole place, honestly, just looked like it was out of a story book. The room itself was super spacious, and they left plenty of sodas, water and even croissants for us in the mini fridge. The bed was comfortable and the room was decorated in a way that made you feel cozy, with local art and vibrant colors. We cannot wait to stay here again!

Absolutely in love with the quaint, fairytale feel of this place. I've stayed here a few times and have little reason to shift venues on subsequent visits. I've stayed in the Longfellow Suite on the second floor, which is my absolute favorite, and the Emerson room on the first floor with its own private deck and entrance. While each room has its own individual feel, there is comfortable consistency with the Inn's amenities and service. You'll immediately notice such simple comforts like the extremely comfortable bathroom towels, socially acceptable bathroom shampoos/soaps, and individual jar candles to add that homey touch when on the road. Love the unlimited healthy breakfast options, from fruits, cakes, yogurts, cereals, etc, etc. It almost feels like a steal! Highly recommend it to any and everyone.

Stayed 1 night at the percy Inn. They upgraded us to the Longfellow suite. First let me just say if you are looking for an over night during covid; look no further. This place is it!! They take safety to a whole other level! You are given the code number to enter. On the hall table is a letter for you. They have hand sanitizer at the table. They tell you that you must wear a mask inside . Your room is left open with the key on the table . Welcome plate of snacks is wrapped and on the table. The mini fridge has soda, juice, and breakfast all wrapped. They have a cleaner out as well. The room. Let's say they take pride in this inn. It is spotless. Extremely clean! The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom is clean but tiny. But has everything you need. They have a nice little side yard as well. As we were enjoying the garden we saw the the owners, Dale and Misael. They seemed pleasant. And if you need anything you can call them due to covid restrictions. Parking is next to the inn. Price was 1/2 as much as any other place we looked at for a Saturday night. Easy 20 minute walk to the furthest point of the" port area". Lots of places near by. Was very quiet after hours to sleep. This inn Is like a little bit of heaven during covid times!

It isn't super close to Old Port, but it's about a 20-25 minute walk, even faster if you have a car or bike. Our host, David, was so gracious and kind. He gave us all kinds of tips on where to eat, what to see, and which neighborhoods to check out. And the breakfast options. Holy moly. These are some of the things David made: lobster souffle; turkey bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast puff pastry; raspberry custard; pancakes with wild blueberry compote; lobster home fries. Honestly, some of our best meals in Portland were eaten right in this very B&B. He even puts snacks in the second floor lounge area (there's also tea and chips) every day, and on an especially hot day he put out a pitcher of pink lemonade. It seems like almost all the cooking and cleaning is done by him. I'm not sure how he manages it and yet everything is flawless, but there you go. Reserve your room early because it was booked solid the whole time we were there. Totally worth it.

It was our first time staying in a B&B and this place exceeded our expectations. It was a charming little place with six unique rooms. Breakfast was wonderful and made to order each morning. It was about a 20 minute walk from the main strip of Portland, but there was also a good selection of restaurants in the West End. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Upon our arrival, there was no one to greet us or direct us to our room. Instead, there was a locked front door and a note saying the entry instructions were included in an email sent sometime earlier. There was also a phone number to call if we needed help. So, standing there on the stoop, in the rain with my wife and our luggage, tired from a long day of driving, I called the number. Milan answered and repeated what the note had said about the instructions being sent via email sometime earlier. So now, still standing on the stoop, I'm scrolling through emails trying to find the one they sent me a day or two earlier. I eventually found a lengthy email with all sorts of information, most of which was irrelevant to us. I sifted through that haystack of verbage and finally found the needle containing the entry instructions and got into the place. Once in, we had to search around to find our room, eventually found it and got settled in, a little frustrated at the experience of getting there. Nevertheless, the room was nice and Milan later showed up (evidently sensing our irritation at the hoops we'd been required to jump through) and told us breakfast was served at a second inn a block away and we were welcome to join them in the morning. We passed on that. If you like the modern e-era and minimal human interaction, this place is for you. On the other hand, if you're expecting a little something more than than just a days-old email, you'll be disappointed.

The only thing to note is that room 1 is right outside the communal area on the 2nd floor. We had no trouble with noise overall but if people outside the room were talking or walking by, we heard very clearly. Definitely recommend and would love to come back when it's warmer!

Two of the other employees also park in the tiny lot out back, which forces guests onto the street or in the overflow lot. The new management, when I explained that I had not been told about the additional lot, insisted that I had been-although they were not there when I was checked in. My check in experience was interrupted by the new manager. Howard was beginning to check me in when Hemanth swooped in from the back room and talked over him.
