Excellent atmosphere, good eats, decent coffee. Charm out the wazoo! Amazing find in this little burg a mile off the interstate.

Cute little storefront in sleepy historical down town cuba ny. Street parking. Wonderful friendly girls working there. Cute decor. Spotlessly clean. Creative menu. In house made caramel and bakery items. Breakfast, coffee, and the chocolate peanut butter muffin were fabulous. I'll be here A LOT more now that I found them.

Just loved our visit to this adorable little coffee shop and everything we tried! Drinks were excellent and well made, the cinnamon roll was amazing and the southwest breakfast melt or quesadilla was very good as well! The staff was super friendly and we got to meet the business owner a very nice lady who you can tell is passionate about her business and town. The interior is super cute with tables to sit and some outdoor street seating as well. Prices were also not too bad! If we were in the area again we'd definitely stop back in.

We stopped in for a delicious lunch. We had the Spunky Melt and the Old Yorker. Both were delicious with plenty of toppings. The bread was really impressive, and they were well toasted. Coffee drinks were good as well. The atmosphere was relaxing, and it was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Right next door to a cute little shop and the Cuba Cheese museum. We'll definitely be back.

Stopped here on Columbus Day while out enjoying the fall foliage. Everything was perfect. The sandwiches were delicious ( tuna melt and Cuban). The staff was efficient and friendly. The restaurant was decorated well and very clean. I would definitely recommend this place ... they have got it going on.

Great little place we found while driving down to Alleghany today. We needed something for lunch and we were happy they were open. I ordered the Local panini which was 3 cheeses and I added turkey. I also ordered a crumb cake muffin. Everything was delicious and hit the spot!

A great casual restaurant/coffee house with an old world feel. It's connected to the Cuba Cheese museum on one side and a quaint shop on the other (both actually have open doors into the coffee shop). I had the bruschetta chicken bowl and it was quite tasty. They have a selection of coffees, espresso drinks and tea. Several gluten free options on the menu. This coffee shop alone is a great reason to take the Cuba exit off of 86. And then there's the cheese shop.

It's like being in the big city in a little town.

We made a special trip to Cuba and choose the Kopper Keg as our place to eat after reviewing all…read morethe options listed on Yelp/Google. I was hoping for a family owned dinner experience. The overall experience was underwhelming for the price (but that's understandable for the issues in the country atm). Because it was a special occasion and it happened to be friday, I treated myself to the fish fry (I usually avoid it since my husband hates the smell of seafood). It was an impressively sized piece of fish with a teensy cup of tartar sauce. It was then that I realized I hadn't asked if they used sweet or dill pickles in their sauce. I tasted it, it was sweet (ugh!), so I asked for some malt vinegar to try and substitute flavor. I really tried to eat and enjoy my meal, I used the vinegar, as much as I could squeeze out of the lemon and eventually a sprinkle of salt to give it some vibrancy. The problem was, without a good sauce, I couldn't get over how unpleasant the batter was and how flavorless the fish was (plus the inner layer of the batter was also unpleasant mushy). Eventually (about four bites in, the piece of fish is still larger than my plate), my husband remarks that there is no reason for me to force myself to choke down what I found truly disgusting. I relent and give the waitress my plate, explaining I just can't eat it and I don't have an appetite now for any replacement so I'll just wait for everyone else to finish. All of that wasn't even the main issue. After we get our check, I see a $11.Something charge I didnt understand. I ask for clarification by the older lady running checkout. It turns out it wasn't "$11" but a poorly written "4" that was the addon for my daughter's fries. (Wasn't aware that a $12 sandwich didn't come with fries for less than almost $5 but, I guess that's our bad for not checking the menu when the waitress asked if she wanted fries with it...fries that were just previously frozen blah things with no seasoning that my daughter didn't even eat, but again, that's a cost of going out I guess?) Finally, I gently bring up asking about some sort of discount off my $15+ meal as I could not eat the entree. I never asked for it to be comped, I opened with a suggestion of a discount because I had eaten the side of fruit and mashed potatoes. The lady acted as if I was insulting her and/or trying to score a free meal. She explained how it wasn't their fault if I didn't like the taste of their tartar sauce. I was confused and flabbergasted for a moment. Admittedly, I didn't point out how I had struggled to attempt to eat the fish despite the tartar sauce issue and still couldn't stomach it. I doubt it would have mattered, she likely would have said it was my fault because it wouldn't be the resturant's problem I physically couldn't choke down their nasty breading. I was so upset that my rare treat had turned out this way and put a rain cloud over the rest of my day in Cuba. Because I have neurological problems and issues with confrontation, I couldn't think clearly or argue after essentially being told it wasn't the resturant's responsibility that I was "too picky". So I just asked my husband to pay quickly and hurried out before I started to cry in the resturant. I suppose this could be my fault for not fully explaining how disgusting I found their food, but I thought that would be impolite feedback surrounded by customers. The tartar sauce (which the 1/3 of a shotglass size of dip wouldn't have even been appropriate for the size of fish even if it hadn't been sweet pickles) seemed a more polite excuse than saying their breading and fish was physically inedible. I didn't try to have it replaced or cause a scene, yet I still feel like I was being treated like I was trying to "get one over" on them. The salted caramel milkshake was very tasty tho?

Five Stars Isn't Enough for Adam and the Team at West Rose!…read more From top to bottom, West Rose delivered an exceptional dining experience. The food was incredible, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere in Ellicottville was fantastic - not a single complaint across the board. But what made our visit unforgettable was the General Manager, Adam, who gave us a masterclass in world-class customer service. Full disclosure: I had two complete "rookie mistakes" during our meal that I've never done in my life. First, while reaching for a slice of pizza, I managed to send the entire rest of the pizza - pan, rack, and all - crashing onto the floor. Mortified is an understatement. Before I could even finish apologizing, Adam stepped in. He had a staff member clean it up in literally ten seconds, flashed a warm smile, and calmly said a new pizza would be right out. Zero frustration, zero annoyance--he handled it with complete grace and had a second, fresh pizza at our table in minutes. He made sure I didn't feel embarrassed for even a second. To make matters worse, five minutes after walking out the door, my phone rang. It was Adam, politely letting me know I'd left my credit card behind. When I walked back in feeling twice as foolish, he handed it over with a smile and a good laugh after I admitted it wasn't my banner day. Great food is easy to find, but genuine, gracious, above-and-beyond hospitality like Adam's is rare. I Left a well-deserved tip and promised him I'd leave a review - and he truly earned every bit of praise. Don't skip this place if you're in Ellicottville! I know we'll be returning.

You know you're close when your phone goes into SOS mode and you fully commit to pancakes & maple syrup as a survival plan! I learned something new on this visit. We were initially shown to a table, but since only 3 of our 4 party members had arrived, we were asked to return to the lobby until everyone was present. The server assured us that once our fourth arrived, we'd be seated with the next available table, and that's exactly what happened. It gave us a few extra moments to watch pancakes methodically and continuously be poured, flipped and served from the griddle. We had the chance to sit in the original dining room, which features beautiful hand-painted murals. The booth cushions are well worn from years of use, adding to the charm and nostalgia of the space. The room itself felt bright, warm, and inviting. Service from Michelle was prompt and friendly, even with the steady pace of the restaurant. We ordered three AYCE pancake and sausage plates, coffees, a kids' pancake, and a maple milkshake. Pro tip: skip sugar and add maple syrup to your coffee. Trust me! Whether you're visiting with a few family members or bringing a large group, the Maple Tree Inn is a place full of memories, tradition, and perfectly maple-infused breakfasts. Remember to bring along cash or a check since digital payment is not an option. The coffee was a bottomless refill, and the waitress knew all her customers. The decor of the restaurant leaned towards maps of Canada, snowshoes, and antlers. I absolutely loved what was on the plate as a side: The soft, fluffy, toasted and buttered roll. It was a cross between a Parker house and a crumpet. Delicious! The French onion soup was nicely toasted, with a cheese unknown in France: mozzarella. The side salad was large enough for an entree, and they were kind enough to bring me oil and vinegar when I requested a vinaigrette. (The balsamic kind, which they had, was too sweet for me).
