While visiting the area The Kopper Keg was recommended. The menu had a nice variety of options to choose from and also offered an Vegan menu. It was not busy when we arrived, I think we were the only ones in there. After we arrived 3-5 other tables were sat. Our drink order was taken right away but our actual waitress took some time to arrive and take our order. After our order was taken it took about 20 minutes to receive our food. I felt like that was quite a while since we were the first order that went in and we did not ordered simple things; hamburger, hot dog, fried cauliflower, Mac-n-cheese and a fish sandwich. I feel like kids meals for $9 is quite costly, but seems to be the norm in New York. The food was hot and tasty, nothing extraordinary. The decor was a traditional diner look in an old building in Cuba. It was a great suggestion since there was not a lot around.

Prices are absolutely way to high and portions are way to small. 5$ for a tiny handful of fries? Seriously? Will not be going back again.

From high end steaks to everyday burgers and then my favorite..... breakfast served all day. It is very spacious, so it was easy to get a seat even on a busy Saturday morning. Complete with a cozy fireplace, it is clean, well appointed and has an inviting atmosphere. The sound levels can be a bit much, and since it's a family place, you will occasionally be dealing with a screeching/screaming child. But overall, a very nice dining experience. Coffee and water came quickly with a complimentary bread and muffin basket. I ordered a special style eggs benedict with a croissant and melted Swiss cheese under an herbal hollandaise sauce, (instead of an english muffin) and my husband ordered a wonderful homemade turkey barley soup and the hot turkey sandwich entree. The food was very very good. It is worth every minute of the forty minute drive from our house!

The glaze on the baby carrots, on the pork chops, on the chicken breast? Yes! Maple! The service is skilled and efficient, the people-watching unparalleled, and the portions are enormous for the listed price. Figure two meals for the listed price, and it seems a better deal! Limited wine and beer list; gift shop on premises for maple syrup and jams as souvenirs.

You know you're close when your phone goes into SOS mode and you fully commit to pancakes & maple syrup as a survival plan! I learned something new on this visit. We were initially shown to a table, but since only 3 of our 4 party members had arrived, we were asked to return to the lobby until everyone was present. The server assured us that once our fourth arrived, we'd be seated with the next available table, and that's exactly what happened. It gave us a few extra moments to watch pancakes methodically and continuously be poured, flipped and served from the griddle. We had the chance to sit in the original dining room, which features beautiful hand-painted murals. The booth cushions are well worn from years of use, adding to the charm and nostalgia of the space. The room itself felt bright, warm, and inviting. Service from Michelle was prompt and friendly, even with the steady pace of the restaurant. We ordered three AYCE pancake and sausage plates, coffees, a kids' pancake, and a maple milkshake. Pro tip: skip sugar and add maple syrup to your coffee. Trust me! Whether you're visiting with a few family members or bringing a large group, the Maple Tree Inn is a place full of memories, tradition, and perfectly maple-infused breakfasts. Remember to bring along cash or a check since digital payment is not an option. And mark your calendar for next season because they are only open for 2 months each year between February through April, while the sap is flowing. I will never recommend this place, not even to my worst enemy. Arrived and was put on a list to get a table. After several other parties arrived and asked to be put on the list, they were seated well before us. I decided not to eat any food because if they can't follow a list to sit people correctly than they probably can't cook food properly either. Place is cramped but cozy. I won't be back. We all ordered pancakes; some also ordered a couple of fried eggs for a couple of bucks more. The first plate was three pancakes for each of us. The waitresses pay attention and when most of the people at the table are on their last pancake, a serving plate piled high with more pancakes is brought to the table. There does not seem to be a limit in the number of "refill" serving platters brought out. Today, for the nine of us, there were only 2 refill platters. Of course, the point of dining here vs. a pancake chain restaurant, is the maple syrup which comes from the trees on the land connected to this restaurant. Moore's is only open during the maple tree tapping season. This year it is only late February to April 12th. Maple syrup aficionados have to wait a year to return for this pancake breakfast.

Breakfast served at all hours, and as I learned to my delight, so is the lunch menu! I explained to the waitress I'd been working nights, so the meal I was looking for did not include eggs. Could I get the soup and salad lunch special? She didn't bat an eye, and it was 7:30 am. The atmosphere at that hour was very much a retiree coffee klatsch; familiar and joking. The coffee was a bottomless refill, and the waitress knew all her customers. The decor of the restaurant leaned towards maps of Canada, snowshoes, and antlers. I absolutely loved what was on the plate as a side: The soft, fluffy, toasted and buttered roll. It was a cross between a Parker house and a crumpet. Delicious! The French onion soup was nicely toasted, with a cheese unknown in France: mozzarella. The side salad was large enough for an entree, and they were kind enough to bring me oil and vinegar when I requested a vinaigrette. (The balsamic kind, which they had, was too sweet for me). I'd love to come back and try their flaky-looking cherry turnovers or danishes.
