I have had a great experience with The Perfect Find from start to finish. I sent pictures of my pieces in and the owner agreed to take them. The furniture was picked up by experienced movers and was displayed beautifully in the shop. All my items did sell, some took longer than others due to the style of the piece. I would follow up regularly to see if my pieces sold and if they did, the check was sent out promptly the beginning of the following month. The shop definitely has some nice items in it so they do get a steady group of people in to look around. Wouldn't hesitate to use again! read more

Would give no stars. Make sure you get everything in writing if you consign with them. Once pieces are sold they don't call you to let you know till you call them and then it still takes months for them to send a check. Also, wouldn't share actual receipts so you have no idea on how much the piece actually sold for. Terrible customer service. Please spend your money elsewhere read more

I inquired about selling two pieces of furniture. When I called, the lady on the phone was extremely rude and demanding, and told me in a demeaning tone that I "have to send her photos first to see if it's something they're even looking for". I asked what number to send the photos of the furniture to, and she replied even more nastily, "THIS one". Like I don't freaking know... maybe this phone number listed online was a landline like a normal office/storefront business. Super rude and disrespectful right from the get go. I sent photos with full descriptions of the products I was looking to sell, and did not even receive a "no thanks, this isn't what we're looking for." Just ignored. Very poor customer service. I heard that they pick up your furniture, which is absolutely great, but take 50% of the sales once the item sells. I was just looking to get the pieces off my hands, but not to such a swampy business owner who wants to rob you on the way out of the door. I would never recommend consigning or shopping with this place, and it's solely off the nastiness and disrespect of the business owner in a 2 minute phone call and series of unanswered texts. read more

I sold my home in LV recently and Zsuzsanna was so helpful. She picked up the items I was selling with men who were considerate of my home. She sold pieces of furniture and I was able to see some great return on these items. Every month I received a check for items she had sold for me. I received great attention and service from Beatrice and Zsuzsanna, the store owner, while looking for decorative items for my home. We successfully identified a number of pieces that work wonderfully in my house. In addition to their attention to my design needs, Zsuzsanna, assisted me in putting an ottoman and mirror in my 2 door Maserati, which was a complex challenge. I gave the PERFECT FIND beautiful furniture and accessories for consignment. Unfortunately, the care to the merchandise was negligent and pieces were damaged and ruined. The owner wouldn't even repair and only offered to lower the price. When she sold items it took many months to collect payment. Her favorite comment is, "The check is in the mail". If you went to the store to collect payment she said"The check was sent out to you". It's difficult and a frustrating experience dealing with them. read more

I am a decorator and I always stop in here while in Locust Valley -- sometimes I find items for myself, sometimes for a client. There is a mix of antique, vintage and used things and sometimes you get lucky and find a little treasure. I have also sold some some chairs and tables here. My items took a while to sell, but it was better than them sitting in my basement collecting dust. I've had a good experience both buying and selling. read more

I don't write reviews unless they are exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. My experience with this store was BAD!! The owner picked up my high end, basically unused and under three years old furniture, boasting how she carries only high end pieces and gets the highest prices. That was the last I heard from her. Several months later, I called and had to ask for my check for pieces that were sold. Who knows If the prices she said she got are actually what she got. After having one more piece unsold, I called three weeks ago to find out the status. I was told it was still in their window. After hearing that they were asking $750 for a love seat that I purchased for over $2,000, and was UNUSED, I told them I wanted my piece back, only to be told that somewhere in fine print in the contract, I no longer could have the piece. After two very busy weeks of work, I called last week to pick up the piece, only to be told it had sold. I will get $325. It was infuriating. When I lived in Westchester, I had a completely different experience consigning. It was professional - I was updated by email every time a piece was sold, and also was informed of pricing. DO NOT TRUST this woman!!! She is dishonest and greedy - like a used car salesperson. I would advise going to the Attic Door in Oyster Bay, or trying local buy and sell FB pages. read more
