This anytime fitness is located near the Village Crossing Mall, off to the side on Central Avenue, away from the other stores. The person who registered me was super nice and friendly and gave me a tour of the place. The size of the gym is somewhat small, I would compare to a couple steps up from a hotel gym but slightly bigger. In terms of the equipment, it has several cardio machines, and a few squat racks, which doubles as a bench press if you set the height and bench properly. There's also some free weights, and free benches as well. What I look for at a gym is a place to do squats, deadlifts, bench press, and overhead press. Everything else is a bonus. They do have several machines, but nothing too serious for a good leg workout. But overall it gets the job done. There is no locker room per se, but there is three private bathrooms, which includes a sink, shower, and toilet. Overall, I would go here and recommend, if you're looking for a place that is 24 hours, but not as busy like an Xsport, with average equipment.

There is a pilates studio on the same level, but the classes are extra charge/seperate. I pay $65 a month, and I honestly think it is such a great deal. The jacuzzi does tend to be crowded before 4 though. I love the machine that dries my swimsuit, that is so helpful, and they give you a bag with it like what. Also at this location they have a keypad for the lockers that actually work, even though the facility is a little outdated. There is parking..no it is not free.

Only recently did our fees go up but again it's worth being a member if you go enough and take advantage of any of their other amenities like their daycare, the indoor and outdoor pools. We have heard there's a waiting list and believe it as it does get crowded at times but not super crowded. I have been to several other Lifetime properties in the Chicagoland area and this is in my top 5 locations. The staff is great as well as the trainers that work there. You can tell business is good when you rarely see a trainer solo. Instead they are working with clients, training away. I do find it strange that the GM trains some people as he's taking away from his other trainers. The folks at the Cafe are wonderful and friendly as well. Let's not forget about the workers at the Daycare! Doreen, Wilma and their crew all work their tail off taking care of the babies, toddlers and kids. God bless em. The one hour I spend at the gym each day helps me get through my tough weeks at work and parenting. I came for the workouts but found a 5-star community. The people who attend are kind, genuine, and care about lifting each member up. We celebrate each other's gains here. So I guess no one is cleaning the showers. I only use the handicap shower because it's the one that gets used the least but the other shower stalls are completely disgusting and smell really bad. I've also noticed a wet piece of toilet paper in the handicap stall that has been here since Wednesday, it's Friday morning let's see if it's still here on Monday. The staff says hi and bye in particular Derwin is very friendly so there's a reason to give blink fitness in Evanston one star and a second star because equipment is usually all in good working condition.

I have belonged to this fitness center on and off for 15 years and am a huge fan…read more No, it is not a deluxe health club and spa facility, it is a good, basic gym with everything you need to get a fine workout: plenty of cardio and weight machines, exercise mats, jump ropes and other tools for calisthenic work. There are freshly laundered towels and a basic locker room with showers. The water fountains are cold and there are hanging TVs that are tuned to radio frequencies so you can watch and listen to a variety of TV shows. The price is $75/month, or something like $60/month if you pay the annual fee. All in all, pretty good value for access to all that equipment. There is also childcare available for $6 up to an hour and a half, which seems pretty cheap to me, especially given that so many people rave about its quality. They have started offering a few group fitness classes, but I can't speak to those other than by saying that all the classes are early morning, and there isn't much variety. I am not giving it five stars because I think its day pass rate is expensive ($15) and wish it provided a punch card option for people who can't work out regularly, but would nevertheless like occasional access to the gym. I would also like more variety of fitness classes (spinning?). Nevertheless, I recommend this to anyone looking for a low-key, no-fuss gym.
