My husband and I were married here November 30, 2013. Our ENTIRE experience with this company was nothing but positive. Jana (our planner) was beyond professional, attentive and organized. We are certain that every member of their staff shares the same attributes. The food is delicious, we chose the Roaming Reception and our 85 guests raved not only about the food, but about the presentation and style of reception, as well. The venue is beautiful, the bridal suite is fabulous (pictures came out great!), the fire pit and garden fountain are also lovely. The view of Monterey Bay is absolutely beautiful, and made for great pictures as well. I truly cannot imagine getting married anywhere else. the perry house... what to say, what to say... 1. the food - amazing. my husband and i decided that we would more or less choose a venue based upon it's food. we were invited to a complimentary tasting (it really says something when a catering company will let people eat their food for FREE, knowing that their food will probably be a selling point). the perry house did not disappoint. my family is full of foodies and were hoping to get some good grubs at the wedding. my brother stated he had the best raviolis in his life during our wedding. just so you know, the raviolis are hand made from classic catering. 2. the service - amazing. richard wood is more or less the perfect person when it comes to running a wedding. he handled every detail and was there for me every step of the way. during the wedding, he asked me if i had eaten yet and i said no, and he went to personally make me a plate of food himself. the staff at the perry house were also awesome - professional, kind, courteous, thoughtful, accommodating. 3. the venue - adorable and intimate. we chose the perry house over still waters vineyard in paso robles because of how we felt that the perry house was going to be more condusive to a more intimate and fun gathering, where people would mingle and hang out. we chose a package called the "roaming reception" where a full dinner was provided through stations set up throughout the property and we really liked it. my family was delighted they got to have the flexibility of hanging out with whoever they liked, instead of getting stuck at a table with the same 10 people for over an hour to eat dinner. i think this style is unique to the perry house and we loved it. to be honest, i had my heart set on getting married on a vineyard, but my husband (fiance at the time) and i agreed that the perry house would actually be our better choice and i definitely think it was :) one of the funnest days of my life. read more

I was just married at the Perry house on 9/26, it was such an amazing night that for the first time ever i had to write a review. To start off Hana was our Peace of Mind Coordinator who made sure our wedding was flawless. she is so sweet, competent, easy to talk to, and very approachable. Any time we had a pre wedding question she was quick to respond and always so friendly. The day of she made sure our night ran smoothly with no stress on our part. The staff is another huge plus. They we all so friendly and always had a smile. The staff are the happiest and nicest people, it was pretty shocking. I must say the bartenders were great too, especially our upstairs Bartender Rudy. At the end of the night i felt as if he was part of our family. He has a great worth ethic, and you can tell he loves his job. My family and I were so impressed with his attitude and passion for his job and simply making people happy. 10 stars to him. Thank you rudy for making our night memorable, we all left happy because of you! :) The one thing i was worried about was the food, however it came our delicious. the mashed potato bar was a hit and not to mention the crab cakes. I can't say enough good things about the Perry House! We had our wedding there in April 2015. We worked with Erin (who is the best coordinator ever) and she helped us plan our layout for the space. We chose a roaming wedding style for a relaxed atmosphere. It was great to not have to worry about seating assignments and the wedding politics that come with it. Our guests loved the venue and the roaming style--even the older, more conservative guests. Many said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We had the grilled meats and veggies. The staff is what makes the Perry House special--they are so accommodating and helpful. Our wedding captain, Patricia, followed us around all night, making sure we ate and fulfilling any requests. Bottomline-- this venue is unique and special, not only for the location but also because of the staff. My daughter got married at the Perry House. This venue is beautiful. The venue comes with day of coordinator. We had Amanda and Francesca (Frankie), both amazing. They offered tremendous help on planning the wedding day. All our requests were met. All our questions were answered. The day of the wedding the entire staff were hands on. All of our quests were taken care of. The bartenders, waiters, waitresses, coordinators, even the security guards, all amazing. What an amazing Wedding at The Perry House! The house is beautiful, the views are out of this world, and the food is the so delicious. The Experience Stations were so unique, much better than your typical buffet. The staff was so attentive and such a pleasure. One of the guests made a comment about preferring the meat a little more well done. The Perry House and Monterey Bay Weddings were FANTASTIC. We loved them every step of the way! From the moment we visited during our "research" trip to the very last time we walked out the door from our reception, everything was fabulous. Our first encounter was when we were visiting the area to determine our venue. We are from out of state, and had 2 days to visit 10 venues. The Perry House was the first one, and what won us over was the manager's statement that they "would do anything they could to make sure our day was as perfect as possible." How can you argue with that? Plus the grounds were gorgeous. The only flaw (to us) was that the ceremony location (the beautifully landscaped yard of the estate) was not on the beach, which we had decided was a requirement. Not to worry! They worked with us to secure Lovers Point Park in neighboring Pacific Grove as our location, and organized all of the setup, including chairs, an arbor, and the sound system. We didn't have to lift a finger, and it was all done at a reasonable cost. Additionally, the Perry House did all of the catering. During our tasting visit, we were entertained by an almost overwhelming set of options of food for our guests. We decided to go with an all-vegetarian menu, and the staff were happy to work with us to make that happen. The food was delicious, and no one left hungry. We went with the small plates option for our menu, but the amount of food was never a problem. The cocktail appetizers, salad, and subsequent "tapas" style entrees were scrumptious and filling. We were impressed with the customer service every step of the way. Our particular event manager, Jana, was always willing to work with our requests with a smile. We certainly had what some might consider a "quirky" ceremony and reception, but she was very supportive and excited with us. The Perry House was exceptional for our wedding, it had a quaint charm I was looking for, had stunning views that overlooked the fisherman's wharf, and was walking distance to our hotel. Susan was the best coordinator we could have asked for, helped us to figure out all the small details we wouldn't have considered and really made the wedding day flow absolutely flawless. The catering and wait staff were so on top of everything and we received so many compliments from our guests about the food and service. The raviolis were such a big hit they come up in almost every conversation we have with friends about that day. The Perry House worked with our budget, and ensured we had a flawless wedding reception. The menu was as fantastic as the view. After attending a tasting prior to booking the location, we realized it we be difficult to narrow down our ideal menu. We got married at the Perry House on June 1st 2012. We did not have our ceremony at the Perry House we had it off site which saved us money. We choose the Perry House for our reception due to its charm, affordability, and the food. I would say that one of the things that stands out with the Perry House is that there food is absolutely incredible. Another perk is that the Perry House is inclusive in that their catering, and rentals for the most part are included in your price. It made planning our wedding much more simpler due to the fact we live in Orange County. Planning a wedding is very stressful, I think we had it easier though with the help of the amazing people working for the Perry House. They are under the umbrella of the Classics Catering so they are very experienced with planning events and weddings. Alicia was our gal who helped us every step of the way. She made planning our wedding enjoyable and easier. If I had a question she was instantly responsive. We met up multiple times and walked though everything to insure everything went without a hitch. We went to the tastings, had meetings on seating arrangements, colors for table clothes and made sure the placement of things for the wedding would be in the correct spot. On the big day we had Alicia there for us when the reception started and then Isabell when Alicia left. Isabell was amazing! Basically everyone that works for this company is incredible. Our guests felt so at home and so comfortable. The bar tenders were awesome to our guests and would even remember guest names. Our feed back from our guests was that the service, food, and location were impeccable. These are the things you want your guest to enjoy. Yes, you want them to aww and oogle at you the Bride and Groom but you want them to have an amazing time and enjoying themselves. If I could give the Perry House 6, or 10, or 57 stars, I totally would. My husband and I got married at the Perry House in May 2013. From the moment we first set foot on the property, we had an amazing experience with the beautiful grounds and attentive staff. We live in Los Angeles, so were planning the wedding from a distance, but PH never made that at all an issue for us. We were able to taste the food, be in contact with our Peace of Mind Coordinator (Richard! Request Richard! He is wonderful and perfect and on top of everything at all times!), and get recommendations on vendors whenever we needed to. Our ceremony was at Lover's Point Park, and PH's affiliate Beach Weddings took care of everything there with absolutely no hassle for us (again, thank Richard). All of the vendors on their preferred vendors list were wonderful recommendations, especially since we don't live in the area, and we used them for almost everything. We had a "roaming" style reception, which, let me tell you, both of our families FREAKED OUT about beforehand. The idea of not having assigned seating is absolutely terrifying for everyone over a certain age. That being said, I have gotten comments from almost everyone who came to the wedding that it was an amazing experience, and I can't tell you how many times I've heard that it was "the best wedding I've ever been to!" The roaming reception really works, it allows everyone to mingle and be casual (and get tons of that AMAZING food!). I definitely recommend it, and don't be swayed by people who hate on the idea beforehand. They will be converted! A final note about the food. Oh sweet baby Jesus the food. It was AMAZING. Even more amazing than I had thought it would be from the tasting. We had glorious passed appetizers, and pizza (from the outdoor pizza oven!), and barbecue, and mashed potatoes, and signature cocktails, and everything was absolutely perfect. Again, I've had tons of guests rave to me about how they didn't know that wedding food could be so good. Long story short: Get married at the Perry House. Make Richard your Peace of Mind Coordinator. I was literally STRESS-FREE on the day of my wedding thanks to our amazing Wedding Coordinator at Perry House, Jana. The thing I really liked most about the Perry House is that they make you feel one-of-a-kind. They're SO attentive. Especially during wedding season, lots of vendors forget conversations, details, your name, etc. it was so refreshing and so nice to have Jana and the Perry House remember every single detail to a TEE. If I could summarize the amazing things about the Perry House, it would be the following: 1) The food is amazing and I mean AMAZING 2) You don't have to spend a lot of money 3) It's already pretty much decorated 4) The view and location are insane 5) Everyone's super nice to work with 6) Booking your wedding comes with a wedding coordinator (and you can pay to have a "day of" coordinator) which was a game changer 7) It's elegant and gorgeous but not over-the-top fru-fru/stuffy. 8) Having the ceremony and reception there was beautiful and so convenient for our guests The only downside if you could even call it a downside is that you have to go with one of two DJ companies and I had some drama with the company I chose. I had my wedding at the perry house in March and it was the most wonderful venue. I have celiacs and needed all of the food served at my wedding to be gluten free and not only were they more than willing to take on this challenge they did so impeccably. The food was delicious. Hana was so helpful throughout the whole process and my only wish is that we had been able to do more tastings (we had 2 which is plenty) since I cannot stop remembering how amazing my food was!!!!! The bridal room where I was able to get ready was gorgeous and they had food ready for us to snack on before the ceremony started. While we were taking pictures after the ceremony Hana made sure that someone brought us appetizers so that we would not miss anything. Hana and our dj coordinated everything and the wedding moved seamlessly. We got the recommendations for our photographer, dj, and flowers from the perry house and they all exceed any expectations. What an incredible venue! Not only is the setting beautiful but the service, food and care in planning are top notch. This is often a beautiful wedding venue but we used it for a corporate event. We got so many compliments from well-traveled guests that everything was perfect and they were so glad they joined us. I can't say enough good things about the staff; planning to execution, they were all professional, helpful and just really nice. We liked it so much we're coming back next year. We absolutely loved the Perry House! We just got married last weekend and we had to write a review before jetting off to the honeymoon. The Perry House was a dream wedding spot. Let me enumerate the ways in which it is perfect... The house itself is beautiful and it is nearby the wharf, which makes for stunning sunset shots. I walked down the staircase and it made for such a special entrance. The backyard feels intimate and personal and was transformed into a beautiful reception area, including a sweetheart table underneath a flower-laden arch. Then, we had dancing in the captain's room. Everyone was already standing to watch the first dance, so we had tons of dancing right from the get-go. The guests made great use of the house-- exploring the outdoor area with the fire pit and going upstairs. We thought it was a great size for our 105 guests-- full of fun but not cramped. We used their tv screen to play a slideshow of our baby photos. The food was delicious!!! And Richard was so easy to work with. My husband and I are both phd students, so we didn't have much time to plan, but Richard was extremely responsive and always willing to work with us when we could find time which really streamlined the planning process. The Perry House has a perfect location near downtown Monterey, venue was spacious for the number of guest we wanted (80), The view was amazing, historical house with a story and recently remodeled. This has become a very popular venue and for good reason because it is amazing, We got the last weekend available in October when we booked it in Jan. So book early. We had the ceremony in the garden and it was beautiful. I was worried about the cost, but once I calculated what you get (tables, chairs, table clothes, napkins, heat lamps, no cake cutting fee, chalk board menus, and more) it would have been the same and more hassle to organize rental companies at a different venue. Some things you get at Perry that you won't get other places is a pizza oven, fire pit, Local Beer, Tvs for personnel made dvds, and awesome brand new sound system throughout the property. The Perry House Staff is amazing!!!! Our wedding coordinator Jana was great. She met with us to go over our day several months before the wedding and gave us great ideas. We had a nautical wedding theme and they provided some cute touches the day of that were perfect. There were so many staff the day of the event they took great care of our guest. The food was sooooo good. Use the pizza oven it is a great show and good pizza. We did the roving dinner (cheapest option). I was worried about this working, but it worked great. We still had tables in the garden and inside the house around the dance floor for those who wanted to sit. Most people did sit down, but others mingled. Our small plates where the flank steak and local sea bass. They both were really good!!! Also, there was plenty of food for everyone. The only Con I can think of is you can only have a DJ from two selected companies because of their new sound system. We chose Colin St. John from DNA Entertainment and he was great. If you want to save money you can plug in a MP3 player with a set play list for a fee. read more

The Perry House was absolutely amazing! We could not have imagined a more perfect wedding venue. What makes the Perry House so amazing is that it is a truly unique and well designed historic landmark with so much charm and warmth. All of our guests were impressed not only by the beautiful view (oh and 68 degree sunny and clear weather in November!) but by the well planned design of the entire property. We had 98 guests and both the ceremony and reception went smoothly without a hiccup. We had a wonderful experience with all the staff. We did use Alicia Phillips for the Peace of Mind Coordination and it was worth every penny! Alicia was so organized and responsive each and every time I called or emailed her. She even lent her opinion and reasoned with me when I was going over the top...Thanks for keeping me in line and sane (and in our budget). Tina, the captain, was also wonderful. Tina continually checked with both me and my husband to make sure that not only our guests were well taken care of but that we were taken care of too. I can't tell you how many times Tina brought me a glass of water throughout the night because guests kept ripping water out of my hands for photos and I was thirsty! Even two months after the wedding our guests are still commenting on how amazing every detail of our wedding was- our guest were most impressed by the food. If you are looking for an intimate venue with charm and personality I highly recommend considering The Perry House. We had our event on 7/12/13 at the Perry House. My husband lost his grandmother in in early June, and as she was not a religious person per say, we were looking for a venue to hold her "Celebration of Life" instead of a traditional funeral or memorial service. Her request was that we "have a party". After much searching my mother-in-law and sister-in-law came across this gem in the heart of Monterey. Hana was our event planner and we cannot speak highly enough of the her and the rest of the staff that helped with our event. They anticipated our needs and were so quick to accommodate us. It was a beautiful location but what made it even more special was the attentiveness of all of the staff at The Perry House. They were so kind and thoughtful and made us and our guests feel very welcome. This venue is perfection! We started planning over a year out and this was the first and ONLY venue we looked at. The location is beautiful and the three levels allows for more exploration versus a standard hall or ballroom which really took the cake. The food was the best food I've ever had and guests were very surprised by all the flavor! Every person from vegetarians to meat eaters were delighted with the selections and kept getting up for more. The chef-manned stations were new to most of our guests and added to the entire experience. The staff made sure that my husband and I ate and always had a drink on hand. As for the food by Classic Catering, many of my guests said that it was the best wedding food they have ever had! We went with the station concept, which allowed our 80 guests to walk around and view the gorgeous house and grounds. The Perry House hosted our July 4th 2013 wedding and reception. Our wedding planner Jana was amazing to work with and helped us plan the menu and decor in advance. The staff at at the Perry House is friendly to work with and their vendor list that support the event is excellent. We had a really fun carefree day on our wedding and the venue transformed to the Hawaiin theme we selected for our wedding. The chefs help create sumptuous custom pizzas, pastas and salads that matched our theme. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! There are not enough words I can use to express how absolutely amazing this venue is and everyone who works here!! We just got married at The Perry House on June 21, 2014. My husband and I looked at The Perry House 2 years before our wedding, and from the moment we saw the place, we fell in love! All it took was one meeting with the owner and we knew we wanted to have our special day here. Mary Lisa was our coordinator and she was fabulous! She was very attentive and helpful and she consistently helped us from the day we booked the venue until the big day! She made the wedding planning process simple and fun, but most importantly she was extremely supportive of our "vision" of the wedding day and she made it happen! The venue itself is gorgeous! If you love a vintage feel, then this is the place for you! Because it is so beautiful, you really do not need to worry about wedding detail décor, but adding if you want to will only enhance the beauty of this place. There is a bridal suite upstairs for the bride and bridesmaids to finish getting ready in before the ceremony if you choose to have your ceremony on site. A beautiful room that is perfect for photos beforehand. The food is unbelievable!! We are both Italian with large Italian families, so food was huge for us. We chose to have the roaming reception for a more comfortable and relaxing atmosphere for the wedding. Our parents were worried that there would not be enough food with this style....but they were SO wrong!! There was plenty of food!! More than enough, and everyone was satisfied. The food at The Perry House exceeded our expectations, and everything was delicious and memorable....we miss the food!! Our family is still talking about how much they loved all of the food! The staff is also amazing!! Everyone was so friendly and helpful on our wedding day, we enjoyed them all. Our wedding day was one of the best days of our lives, and we have everyone at The Perry House to thank for that. We miss that day so much and all of the planning that went into it. The Perry House was the perfect place for our wedding of less than a 100 guest. My fiancé and I wanted our wedding to be intimate and fun for our guest. We loved the idea of our guest roaming around the venue instead of sitting at one place. We've been to many golf course, hotel, and winery weddings and we wanted something different. We had many compliments from guest about the unique venue and the phenomenal food. Everyone at The Perry House was friendly, accommodating and even listen to our needs when we had our concerns. We had our wedding on 10/21/17 at the Perry House. It was the perfect venue. I knew the first time we visited that it was my dream venue. The house is a gorgeous spot for a party, with beautiful balconies, a view of the ocean, and big beautiful rooms inside. The string lights and outdoor fireplace at night made it feel so cozy and warm. I love all the different "nooks" and hangout areas at the venue. We planned the wedding to be 6 months after the arrival of our baby so we knew we'd have our hands full and wanted a "one stop shop" venue that would handle food, alcohol, servers, linens, etc. I didn't want to deal with small details and, thankfully, I didn't have to! As for the staff: Susan (our designated planner/captain) was a pleasure to work with, all along. She answered millions of random questions from me. The staff was awesome at the wedding. They kept magically appearing next to me and offering me a drink, apps, or a plate of food. As for decor: I fretted a lot about whether to do flowers or other special centerpieces and ultimately decided not to. We used the Perry House's standard/default (free) centerpieces and put the bridesmaids' bouquets in them. Other than that and the string lights, we had ZERO decorations. And it was perfect! I wish (in hindsight) I hadn't worried about it so much. You really don't need to worry about decorations at a place like this. Food: we did the "City Lights" roaming dinner option (with grill station and pasta station). Everyone raved about the food. It was plentiful and delicious. We had many vegetarians and they were all happy. Monterey: we live in the East Bay and had family/friends coming from all over the country. Monterey was a great choice for a weekend getaway. A beautiful beach town with plenty of activities. Our wedding was perfect. Everything went smoothly. I loved every minute of it and attribute that largely to the Perry House and its staff. I cannot imagine a more perfect setting for our wedding reception!!! I have always wanted to get married in Monterey and we looked at several venues, all nice in their own way, but we saved the best for last. When my fiance and I walked up to The Perry House, we knew it was different. The staff was helpful and the owner gave us a personal tour and answered all our questions! The set-up is ideal for a reception or party! The inside, outside and bar areas are all beautiful and you have a wonderful view of the harbor from the balcony. We knew instantly that this was the venue for us! They really take all the little details into consideration and are very organized. It was also very nice that everything is included... food, tables, linen, heat lamps, alcohol... it's all in one place, which makes planning a lot easier! Before leaving, the owner, Jim, who is fantastic, gave us a bottle of their champagne to celebrate! When planning our wedding, we used the same company for our "beach wedding" at Berwick Park which was perfect! They organized everything and the day progressed seemlessly. Any location in Monterey is beautiful, but on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, we could not have imagined a more perfect place! We had the privilege of working with Erin W. as our coordinator and could not have imagined the day without her! She had answers for every question I had, and there were a lot! She was helpful with ideas, details, and recommendations, especially since we were planning the wedding from Arizona. I felt like she became a friend, not just a someone who was there to help me. She was wonderful and always made sure that I felt special! You can tell that Erin really enjoys her job, cares about her brides and goes above and beyond to make sure their day is everything they wanted and more! The staff at the Perry House was amazing, they were so helpful and wonderful on the day of the wedding. We had the best experience with our event captain Patricia! She was so helpful and sweet, always making sure I was relaxed. She even helped us put out some decorations we had brought but did not know exactly what to do with or where to put them, and it was perfect! The entire staff took care of the guest, the wedding party and my husband and I, even saving me extra mac and cheese and making my dad a plate of food after he missed most of it while talking to friends and family. They all were really helpful, professional, and you can tell they love their jobs! The last thing I need to comment on is the food... AMAZING! We had such a hard time at the tasting because everything we tried was fantastic! We ended up choosing the bruschetta, the crab cakes (my personal favorite!) and the civiche. They were all very good and the guests are still talking about them! For stations we had the grill (rock fish and skirt steak), pizza (margarita and gorgonzola and pear) and a mac and cheese station, which my dad thought to have crab mac and cheese (they also had another option without seafood) and it was amazing! Again, everyone is still talking about it! The wine selection is great and one of the wine's benefits a charity. I don't think I can say enough good things about the Perry House. They are #1 for a reason! Oh, I know... I was skeptical of the "strolling seating" initially... I was wrong!!! It was perfect! everyone had a place to sit, they met new friends and I didn't have to do a seating chart! It was great! If I could give the Perry House more than five stars, I would. My husband and I just got married there this past weekend, and I don't think we could have had a better experience anywhere else. The wedding coordinator, Susan Villani, worked with us from the beginning to ensure that we had an amazing experience. She accommodated many of our requests, including serving gelato instead of cake, preparing a stand with ice where the ice cream can stay cold while the chefs served the gelato. She was creative with the use of decorations I provided, making some of the displays even more beautiful than I had pictured or planned. We did a Sunday wedding, and the appetizers, grill (shrimp, salmon, tri-tip, sausages, and veggies), and pasta stations (including mushroom ravioli) received rave reviews. The s'mores stations went beyond our expectations (each guest can roast their own s'more over a small flame). My friends can't stop talking about how amazing the food was, how beautiful the venue, and how friendly the staff. The evening was truly magical, thanks to Susan and the Perry House team. read more

I found the perfect man who gave me the perfect ring with a perfect proposal. And immediately afterward started the process of planning for our perfect day. I wanted our wedding day to be both special and memorable for, not just myself and the groom, but for everyone there sharing our sacred event. Being a stickler for perfection, I usually take the attitude of "If you want things done right, do them yourself." And as the bride, there were hundreds upon hundreds of details from the big to the small that I needed to take care of. I like the unconventional, the unique and--let me just admit it--the better things. So when it came to deciding the details regarding our wedding reception I had no worries because I knew everything was in good hands with Alicia and the rest of the Perry House staff. They made planning for my wedding reception amazingly easy. A beautiful yellow house nestled on the hills overlooking the Monterey Bay, the Perry House is a Victorian sanctuary of simple charm with so much to offer. It is the perfect spot if you want to celebrate your wedding in an elegant, quaint locale. Providing first-class full service catering and event coordination, the Perry House ensured the most professional and customized service for my special celebration. It truly was an over-the-top experience. Their backyard with an always-green lawn allow your guests to mingle or to use as an extra dining area. Here your guests can be wowed by the chefs preparing their dishes in the wood fired pizza oven. And those chilly Monterey evenings will not hamper the event because there are plenty of "mushroom heaters" plus a fire pit to keep the guests toasty. The carriage house held our photowall* for the guests to enjoy, and there is a bar and extra seating room there as well. May I also mention that the stain glass window in the carriage house is gorgeous; yet one other thing for your guests to gawk at other than the dress and cake. Not many halls offer something as special as that. The upper level has a second bar plus a balcony with a great view of the Bay below. There is also a great alcove for you and your guests to sit and chit chat away from the festivities below in the ballroom. The bridal suite is also located on the top floor. Inside is a large restroom for you and the bridemaids to powder your nose plus a large mirror making for great photo shots of you in your wedding gown. The delicacies prepared by the Perry House still get my mouth to water. First the appetizers were passed out by butlers. My husband and I still talk about the coconut shrimp; I complain that I just didn't have enough of them. Plus there were tons of fruit, cheeses and crackers as the guests waited for our arrival. The main courses were served by the chefs themselves. My husband's friends love to reminisce about how they each had their fill and then some of the tri tip and the tenderloin. Alicia was my reception coordinator. We talked at length about my wants and the details I was incorporating. She knew exactly what to do. When the husband and I arrived after the ceremony and saw how she set up the decorations, our jaws dropped. Everything was more than perfect. Alicia totally executed my visions without fail. It has been a couple of months since the event. My guests still rave about everything about the reception. And I so grateful for everything that the Perry House crew has done to make my wedding such a hit for both the groom and me plus our guests. It was such an unbelievable success! My wedding here in September was quite simply- perfect. Weeks later, my guests are STILL talking about the food, the view, the furnishings, the staff-- people are lobbying us to renew our vows already just so they can come back! The staff at this location put love and hard work into every detail of the venue, and it shows. When we first visited them to see the property, the head chef was in the midst of sandblasting one of the rooms! Everyone here clearly put in their effort, and the whole property just radiates elegance and charm. The bridal suite upstairs was perfect for getting ready, and provided a nice place for a few of the littlest ones to have a nap during the later hours. Every inch of the property is perfect for photographs, and there's ample parking nearby. We had about 85 guests and it felt nicely filled, never crowded. The pizza oven and MASHED POTATO BAR were enormous hits, and the staff at Classic was wonderful about helping us find our other vendors. The Perry House made our wedding day one of the best days of our lives! We were told by several people that our event at the Perry House was one of the best weddings they had ever been to and got so many compliments on the quality of the food, the drinks and the overall ambiance of the house. Where do I start? Before I even visited the Perry House I already knew this would be the place where I would have the wedding I always dreamed of. The Perry House is the most beautiful, unique wedding venue on the Peninsula. From the moment I initially made contact with the staff at Events By Classic, I knew I was in great hands. When I finally saw the Perry House in person, I was completely blown away. It has such a quaint, elegant and romantic feel. The view from the upper balcony is stunning, with views spanning over the entire Monterey Harbor and all the way to Moss Landing, making for great photo opportunities and a good spot for guests to mingle during the cocktail hour. We did the roaming butler passed reception which all our guests loved. They were free to meander around the house and gardens, sit around the fire pit and cocktail tables while the food came to them. And of course, the food was incredible. Our wedding included a delicious martini salad, stuffed mushrooms, pear and Gorgonzola pizza (baked in their outside pizza oven), ahi tuna skewers, skirt steak, and butternut squash ravioli. I knew I wanted around 80 people at my wedding, and this was the perfect spot, accommodating up to around 120 ppl I believe. My guests called it the "perfect" wedding and can't stop talking about the location, food, and staff. Jana, my main contact throughout the entire planning process was absolutely amazing. She is the sweetest person ever, and was so attentive every step of the way. I could not have not asked for a better event coordinator! And Jennifer, the event captain took wonderful care of my husband and I, even going out of her way to make sure we ate and tried all the food during the reception. Not only did the staff take care of the reception, but they also put together my ceremony at Berwick Park in Pacific Grove. They set up everything- chairs, the wooden arch and a table with lemon water for guests. It was beautiful, and I cannot thank this lovely staff enough for everything they did!
