Everything reasonable was really far outside of Boston, but then we stumbled across Anthony's Townhouse online. It is right in the heart of everything. You are extremely close to all the sights and restaurants. All of their rooms are extremely spacious with very big closets. Each one has its own unique decor. The whole place is extremely clean and housekeeping comes every morning. There is a fridge, microwave and bathroom on each floor. The owners are the most helpful people ever! They helped us find parking, get our T passes and even went through the map with us. There is a T stop right outside their house so you can take it everywhere downtown! I loved not having to take the truck anywhere. There are a few restaurants right across the street. There is also a whole foods. You cannot beat the price and location!! Room: 5 Our room was impeccable with impressive personal touches and attention to detail. Little things like Fiji water, fresh soft towels (and a black towel for makeup), full array of toiletries, and a welcoming comfortable firm bed. Despite having alllll the things to do in Boston, I was excited to get back to that room and that bed, and I slept like a log. I like a good bed when I'm traveling and I would never stay at another place if I had the option. My favorite aspect was having a separate bedroom and living area (with pull out couch). All things comparable, I've stayed in a thousand hotels, I've traveled Boston thoroughly. This will be my go-to forever. Whether traveling single, as a couple, or with my kids, I will look at 284 first and foremost. Kid-friendly: yes! I would definitely stay here with my kids (ages 9, 11, 13). Highly praised in Time Out's guide to Boston, this Fenway brownstone house did not disappoint at all. The interior is lovingly kept in original 19 century decor and Florence has an amazing collection of dolls as well as a whole room for her shoes and hats. At 80 dollars a night it was a bargain for a truly special room that could well have been in a museum. The bathroom was hip with a great toilet, and it was conveniently close to several T stops. The real gem though was Ms Frances, who was truly charming and had quite amazing stories. She has flags for every guest to show their nationality, and of the 50 or so flags she owns she's been to pretty much every country - including Iran. An introduction to her hat collection is quite a treat too. What a life she has led! She even had a free guest pass for me for the Museum of Fine Arts.

Longwood Inn was just the place I needed on my recent trip to Boston…read more It was comfortable, had some character. And it was affordable without sacrificing quality. It was hard to find accommodations that fit the budget I had for a recent work trip, and I was so relieved to find Longwood Inn. First, Longwood Inn is a Victorian mansion originally built in the early 1900's. It was later made into the inn, which means it has some eccentricities. For example, the bathroom for my room was actually across the hall yet still private. I had a separate key just for that bathroom. My room was small yet clean and comfortable. It was easy to relax each night, while watching TV or reading in bed. And while I passed a few other guests while coming and going, I never heard them when I was in my room. It was very quiet. There are several common areas, including the foyer, dining room and patios. The kitchen is free for guests to use. Check in and out was easy, and I was able to get early access to my room to store my luggage. Lastly, Longwood Inn is a picturesque two blocks from the T stop. I would definitely stay here again!

I was very unsure which area to stay in, but I'm so happy I chose CCB because the location is absolutely perfect. Back Bay is very nice and safe. You even have a wonderful park just outside the doorstep to walk around, and the lovely Boston Commons only two blocks away. Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer. I got the please to quickly meet the GM on my way out, and she is super sweet. I even left my airpods in the room, and without hesitation they are shipping them back to me. 5 starts forsure.

I flew in late to Boston so I entered the house really late, but there was no problem! At the Morrison House, I stayed at the Little Room - it was very cozy and cute, perfect size for a young girl like myself. The bed was nice and I slept very well. It was also nice to have a heating system that I can adjust perfectly. I shared a bathroom with the guests in the Davis Room, which was no problem because I shower at night and no one else did. The bathroom was kept very clean and, also very cute. I also liked how the guests have chance to meet each other when they all come down for breakfast between 8-9 am. Since I mostly get to talk with people of my age back in school, it was a refreshing feeling to get to know older couples, etc. The Morrison House is in a perfect little college town too. I got to enjoy some great foods, including the hamburger shop that was introduced in Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, one of my favorite TV show! :D The fee was also reasonable, so I would like to give Morrison House a five-star! Everything could be improved…read more Apparently this place has been under construction for months and yet the front is still very much under construction. The walkway entrance is sticky and wobbly. The sitting area is probably the only nice part about it and even then, it only has pleather/bonded leather couch. The other hairs looked flattened. The reception is off to the corner by the elevator. Sometimes, the staff is talking on the phone. And the elevator scares me as it makes weird noises when it moves. It's expired for a few months. It also smells. The room is very small. The bed is supposed to be a queen but it's more like a full, and on metal rails. There's no bench or couch in the room to drop off the luggage. However, there is one shelf in a small closet. The room is also supposed to be upgraded and renovated. But it's already dated. Some of the items like ventilation does not work. There's no headboard, just wooden slates. The floor is lament, the bathroom is on par with motel quality. Also, the room is noisy at night and I have been having trouble sleeping. I don't feel rested. For all these reasons, and at $400 per day, this place is a scam.

There were also two women that I think did overnight that were great! I was staying there for a big exam and the guys knew that and one ended up bringing me a fridge for my waters and snacks. I requested a quiet spot and they put me in one. It's a smaller hotel, and their customer service is great and makes you feel comfortable! Would highly recommend staying here! Also, shout out to the manager/owner for hiring such amazing staff!
