One of our dogs was abused as a puppy, and is very skittish of people, even those that she is familiar with. She shows no fear when we arrive at Lucky D. The property is pristine, calm, and what I particularly liked, is that considering it's a place that boards dogs, it does not smell, and I don't arrive to chaos, overcrowding and dogs barking out of control as was the case with where we used to board our dogs. Everyone is so nice there and accommodating. We've never had an issue if we have to board an extra day or at times when we have very little notice. I highly recommend Lucky D. My dogs also feel the same way.

The problem was we needed the vaccinations so we could board the dogs in just a few weeks. We called Pet Medical and he took us just three days later. As other reviews stated, he is wonderful with animals. Our nervous and anxious dogs really calmed down. His office is not shiny and new, and yes, there's a parrot named Bob who bites and poops a lot. Whatever. His manner more than balances that out. We will definitely go back.

With less income than I used to have, and wanting to spay my female dog, to ensure no more puppies, I wanted to do the responsible thing. My Vet wanted around $500, which I just couldn't afford. Humane Society to the rescue! For a $50 donation, I could get our fur baby, Phoebe, spayed. I was able to donate more than $50, but was so grateful for the fabulous, caring, professional services. Spay coordinators Rhanie and Aimee, took care of all the details, and were so professional, responsive, warm and caring. They tenderly cradled our shaking dog, before and after surgery. All the staff and volunteers were truly fabulous. And the Humane Society campus is so beautiful...from the dog parks to the Welcome and Education Center. It was exciting to see the hospital, under construction, too. Our Humane Society provides so many great services, and I am proud to be a supporter! Phoebe is now resting comfortably. I found this belly protector on Amazon, so she doesnt need to wear an uncomfortable cone collar, to keep her from licking her incision. Our last fur baby, Bodhi, will get neutered when he is 8 or 9 months old, after hormones allow for bone development. :)

We moved from San Marcos California over 5 years ago and lived in Kailua Kona by ourselves. Everyone is on the mainland. I called the company and they are very kind and very compasionate. I had the opportunity to say goodbye to him for the last time for the rest of my life. I was innitially thought that the experience letting my baby go would be a horrible one. Instead, it was an enlighten experience amidst a horrible natural life experience. Naomi made sure that I would survived my husband and I could move on and be ready to face my own life challenges. I do not think that her counsel would not affecting me. However, throughout all of this difficult process, it guides me to move to the right grieving process. The grieving process was very hard, but I I think, it got better because the supports that I recieved from a kind person like Naomi, my family members who live on the mainland, and the Kaiser Permante along with the resources that available from the County of Hawaii. Naomi gave me a strong foundations and I am glad that I picked them to take care of my baby's last need. I love you my baby and we wil meet again someday!

It's been almost two months since I used their services for my cat. I was met with warmth,…read morepatience, aloha, and kindness. I was a complete wreck but my time was my time and the sweet lady that ran the operation, allowed me to be myself, grieve and go at my own pace. I did a private cremation and was able to sit and wait until I could take the ashes with me. It's not cheap but for me, knowing I have my fur baby's ashes with zero doubts, was worth it to me. I had a private cremation done in La once and it was about the same price. I recommend then with no hesitation! The only thing I'd recommend them changing would be to do nose prints or paw prints. In La I got a nice little laser engraved wooden ornament with my cat's nose and paw print and her name included with the cremation. Something like that would be a great improvement to the service provided. All of that said... still impressed and I appreciate everything!
