There is a younger white woman who was wonderful and helpful but the one bad egg ruins it for me. We went in the other day because we are rescuing two puppies and taking them back mainland. We talked to the younger girl and she was so helpful, kind and shared a lot of knowledge with us. She was a five star employee and if she had been our only contact this review would be different. We grabbed one small crate because we weren't sure what size we needed and proceeded to the checkout. The old lady was there staring at us. Doing nothing. My husband said "I don't fit in the line because the crate is too big". There was also no one else in line at all. She still made my husband walk all the way over to where the line starts and then walk back over to her checkout station, basically walking in a circle just for her own satisfaction. Total power play. We let it go. We have been calling daily for almost a week now trying to secure the second crate we need so we can take the puppies with us. Every time we call this old woman answers and is so rude. She doesn't even check to see if the crate is available she just says call back later or check back every Thursday (which we've BEEN doing). Imagine my surprise when I went online right after calling her and the crate IS available. I've purchased it and pray they will actually pull it off the shelf for me, but I have no faith at this point. What a strange place to treat customers like this. She truly behaves as though she doesn't care about her job or the customers at all. Surprising from someone in the older generation. Do better.

Of course, most of the training was to support and me to be a better leader to the dogs, which is an unknown and added bonus to working with these amazing animals and family members of ours. I'm pregnant and have four large rescue dogs on unfenced 6 acres that was giving me a lot of anxiety and panic letting them out and about which they need for exercise and behavioral temperament support. we also have two small children and guests that come and go on the property. Kathini keeps it simple, easy to maintain and to keep consistent with in her trainings. Literally after three sessions I had all four dogs having much greater confidence and ability to let them out. With all the people and distractions at the beach Cash would have been a maniac... and I would have just avoided bringing him. But thanks to Dustin we all got to sit and enjoy some much needed time in the sand! (This pic was taken the day after he came home from training.) I really can't say enough about what Dustin has done for us. Sending Cash to boarding was my last ditch effort. I was at my wits end with him and seriously considered finding him a new home that better fit his needs and temperament. I told Dustin I considered asking him to help me rehome him. Cash is NOT a bad dog, and he wasn't my first boxer either. But he is a very intelligent. STUBBORN, STRONG WILLED, confident, and high energy dog. He was extremely reactive as well. It got to the point where I avoided taking him anywhere. My friends and family that visited knew and would tell other people how wild he was. But since he has come back from his training with Dustin, we've been to the beaches, on walks, and even downtown in crazy Waikiki. We are both much happier and confident in each other. And I am so grateful I didn't have to rehome him. Dustin has also consistently checked in after the boarding was done, to make sure we are still doing ok and to see if I need help or have any questions.

The humane society was closed on the day we found our sweet Bailey. Which I'm honestly really happy…read moreabout, I called Dustin because Bailey was covered in blood and fleas and I wasn't sure what to do, Dustin gave me some amazing advice and as soon as they closed he came over to my house and dropped off a flea pill. Bailey is a very timid boy and it was hard to get him out of the house. We fostered Bailey for about a month (we have no officially adopted him) and during that time Dustin came to my house twice to make sure Bailey had both his shots and microchip. The care and attentiveness that Dustin and his team of volunteers have shown goes unmatched. We will now be fostering some more doggies from them! Honestly, all you have to do is go look at their website and you'll see the love that Dustin has for those animals. It's absolutely amazing, I wish there were more people like him and his team.

One of our dogs was abused as a puppy, and is very skittish of people, even those that she is familiar with. She shows no fear when we arrive at Lucky D. The property is pristine, calm, and what I particularly liked, is that considering it's a place that boards dogs, it does not smell, and I don't arrive to chaos, overcrowding and dogs barking out of control as was the case with where we used to board our dogs. Everyone is so nice there and accommodating. We've never had an issue if we have to board an extra day or at times when we have very little notice. I highly recommend Lucky D. My dogs also feel the same way.
