They do not have an evacuation plan for the animals. They do not allow you to see the areas where the dogs stay. They do not allow the dogs to keep collars on. They bought out the wrong dog to an owner. The rooms are tiny. They asked me if they could stop the medication for my dog. They did not refund the booking fee even with 2 weeks notice. They lied about the reasons for not showing where the dogs stay. The dogs only get 20 minutes a day exercise and they aren't supervised or looked after for the whole time. They tried to persuade me to not get a photo every day, because 'the dog will be doing the same thing every day'. The Web camera has been discontinued due to being 'hacked'. The dogs have been returned covered in bites, others covered in urine, like they had been left lying in it. On coming out of daycare my dog was stressed, peeing and pooping as soon as she left. Do NOT EVER take your pet to this company read more

My dog was injured at this establishment, the injury was days old before the staff noticed. When I questioned why the injury wasn't picked up I was told and I quote " we noticed it was a potential nick" well her entire ear is scabbed, crusty and damaged? There would of been BLOOD how can you not see BLOOD! It is in my opinion in this instance the pet hotels staff were neglect in their duty of care to my pet. They should of noticed the injury, I pay them to keep my pets safe, if an accident or injury occurs my expectation is the staff will not only advise me of the injury but also monitor it. Why else do you pay for pet boarding if not to keep your pets safe this establishment didn't clean or attend to my pets injury they didn't even notice it until the day we picked them up! There web site states the pets hotel is customer designed for your pets health, safety and comfort. Not in this instance! Quite frankly it's a disgrace, it's also incredible to have them tell me it was a potential nick! Seriously her whole ear has been chewed! It should of been picked up not ignored! Obviously I do not recommend you take your pet here. Very upsetting, please note I understand injury's occur what I'm so upset about is no one, not one staff member was paying enough attention to notice my dog was injured. read more

I picked my dogs up after our holiday on 2nd January. They were wet, stinking with dirty paws. I had to bring them home and give them a bath, I then found fleas which is appalling! I've had my oldest for 12 years and he's never had fleas even when he's stayed on a farm. I am very disappointed and will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. Given the fact that the staff didn't even care when I called to complain and haven't had any response from management, I will be going out of my way to advertise how bad this hotel is. Your cameras were turned off for most of their stay period, we couldn't see them the whole time they were there including during the times advised. read more

We have boarded our dog twice in the last 2 months and both time we have collected him with kennel cough, although he was vaccinated. This has not only a financial impact ($120 for vet and medication plus $120 from the first time), but also a physical deterioration of our puppy who has to go through the kennel cough twice in only 40 days. Not sure what's going on at Pets hotel but definitely we will not board him again or bring him for daycare anytime in the future, which is a pity because we are pretty sure that Yogi has enjoyed the venue and the staff is very friendly with him, but the health&hygienic conditions/dog health check is a mayor concern after our tangible experience. My dog attends daycare here regularly & boards often as well. All of the staff are professional, skilled & friendly. My dog is a high energy breed, so he needs a lot of exercise & stimulation. He gets the opportunity to socialise with other dogs & get a lot of his energy out in a safe, supervised environment. He comes home happy & relaxed. I've used other boarding & daycare facilities in NSW previously, but The Pets Hotel far exceeds any of these. I trust them completely with the care of my dog both in daycare & while boarding. I can't stress how happy I am with the service that this establishment provides. A pleasant experience from both myself & my dog. Offering both daycare & boarding as well as grooming makes it a very convenient service for busy people who want quality care for their pets while they're at work or on holidays by professional staff they can trust. read more
The Pets Hotel is a very special place. They treat you pet like one of their own, no cages or board pups in sight - only play toys and story time (from cooking books no less!). I would highly recommend this place, especially if you pup is an indoors kinda animal. There are lots of extras available, from spa treatments to photo shoots and beach walks, but even the most basic package is not only affordable, but perfect for pet owners to leave there animals with no stress or worries. read more

The first time I used The Pets Hotel was after my dog's abdominal surgery. I hated to leave him but had to go to the US for my mother's funeral. I wanted a place that I could feel confident he would be well taken care of. I had heard wonderful things about The Pets Hotel but that they were expensive. I took the plunge and was glad I did! They carefully fed him the specially-prepared baked chicken and rice dishes I prepared and it worked because he did not lose any weight but instead regained the weight he had lost. Since then, I only use The Pets Hotel when I travel because I have an active dog and they have the closely supervised daytime playtime for him with other dogs with similar temperament. I watch them on the Live Webcam and am impressed with they way they handle the dogs - they're always happy and get along because they are so closely supervised. I also use other "extras" they provide, such as taking him for walks, extended playtime and cuddles. My boy Jake always looks forward to his next stay. He craves his hugs from The Pets Hotel "goddesses". He always arrives home happy, relaxed and in great condition. They are, by far, the best kennels I have ever used. read more

This place clearly caters well for dogs. It is equally clear that they have no interest in cats other than to make money. It is overpriced, charging for "cuddle time" that I'm sure my cat never saw, and minimum 10 day stay charge. He came home quite distressed after a week long stay; crying and wandering for hours, behavior I've never seen after coming home from our regular catteries. The most compassion from staff was seen in a tardy reply to an email of complaint. read more

I would not recommend this place for an active dog. I left my dog at the Pets Hotel for a long weekend (the place got recommended from people at the park) and watched him on the webcam each day to check in on him. He was dumped in a small play pen with about 30 other dogs. Most of the dogs wanted human interaction, you could tell this because as soon as one of the minders came into the pen the dogs would run up to them. They never once got my attention ( unsure if this is just weekend staff) I payed an additional $27 for an outside walk. I don't believed this happened one day. As from 7am until 12 my dog was in the pen then the same in the afternoon. He looked absolutely miserable! For the amount of money you have to spend I would just pay a friend it is not all it is hyped up to be. But don't get me wrong this boarding facility would be perfect for smaller/ non active dog. I just could not wait to pick up my dog it was not much of a holiday as I was worried about my dog the whole time. Oh and the amount of times I caught my dog being humped! read more

I use the pets hotel for my cat and have on numerous occasions. She is extremely well cared for and comes home very relaxed. I suspect she gets more attention while staying in the hotel than she gets from me at home :-). I have had three cats over the years and they have all come home and told me off for leaving them but when Cassie comes home there is a quick winge and she is over it. I pay for extra play time every other day as she is a quite active cat still. I have always felt that Cassie is well loved while she is there. read more

Picked my cat up from a three day stay recently. He has stayed before no problems however when I went to pick him up this time the main foyer and cat room had a very strong odour of animal mess. Within 5 minutes of getting him home my cat was on his litter with diarrhea which continued throughout the night. He has always been in excellent health and never had this problem before. I rang the pets hotel in the morning to check how long this had been going on and if a bug was going around in the centre. The staff are usually lovely and friendly however the girl I spoke to was very sarcastic and rude. She advised that they monitor toileting and food very closely and there were no problems which my cat whilst there. She also suggested that my cat may be doing this to 'show he was unhappy at being left there'. Working in the medical industry I don't believe cats (rather like humans) can fake diarrhea when upset and doubt doing the problem only commenced 5 minutes after picking him up. read more

Wow!! Our two girls have only recently started attending Daycare. We first tried Diggity Doggy Day care which was nice but recently we tried the Pet's Hotel. What a difference!! Firstly the staff were super friendly over the phone, the sign up process was straightforward & I love their website and the App. Here is the major difference between the two - When we arrived at the Pets Hotel, the staff went out of their way to be helpful, friendly and reassuring. There were no comments about the right way to train a dog & they didn't just grab the lead and rush off with my girls etc It had such a fun & friendly vibe and they were more than happy to let me peek through & see where my two girls would be hanging out. Even though it was the morning & they were busy they were still patient and all smiles. They offered a 50% discount on the first day as opposed to Diggity who charge a lot more on the first day due to the conduct of a mandatory 'behavioural assessment'. Interestingly, the Pet's Hotel also do an assessment but this was included in the total price. The ongoing rate is still cheaper than Diggity. The facilities are probably on par with Diggity but what I love about the Pet's Hotel is the owners can see a bit more into the facility from the drop off point. This is a nice touch. The dogs came back smelling lovely & they seemed super happy. I also love the idea that at rest time, the dogs go into little rooms with 2-3 dogs a room rather than just all together in the open area. This gives those that maybe are a little anxious with large groups, a breather. The app is amazing and you can just tap on and watch the doggy cam!! All in all, I couldn't speak highly enough of The Pet's Hotel!! read more

For a business dedicated and founded on caring for your pet, they certainly have no issue abusing or traumatising your pet against your wishes in order to justify fees. There are of course the normal fees, board and feeding, but there are fees to be social (let in with other dogs), fees to be walked (otherwise pooch gets to sit confined and alone), fees to be given medication you provide (otherwise pooch doesn't get their meds), and my favourite, fees to be bathed and blow dried. Now, the last one sounds reasonable until you find out it's mandatory for your dog to be bathed and blowdried. It doesn't matter if they have a skin condition, or if they were bathed before you brought them there, or if bathing is quite traumatic for them and the blow drier is even moreso. It doesn't even matter if on their extensive questionaire you tick the box indicating your pet finds it "TRAUMATIC" to be bathed and then tick the box that indicates your pet finds it "TRAUMATIC" to be blow dried. It doesn't matter if you insist three times that your pet must NOT be bathed and blowdried, "it's mandatory". Or if you say "charge me for it but don't wash my pet or blow dry them". This company happily will find out through your mouth and their own questionaire that your pet is not to be bathed and will still go ahead with it because...it's "MANDATORY". Not just the fee, but the action. Our dog was picked up from this horrid, money-hungry hotel in such a state that the woman who brought him out was distressed. He is very old and has terrible arthritis. He could hardly stand and was shaking all over, absolutely terrified. I am DISGUSTED that your awful company is there to care for animals, yet you deliberately traumatise them. Our dog is a breed that doesn't have the oils in his skin which cause dogs to smell. He is so old he doesn't roll around or play in the dirt. Yet these monsters thought it was completely appropriate to ignore the owners, ignore the dog and just go right on ahead with a god damned wash and blow dry. We are beyond furious. What a DISGUSTING HOLE-tel you operate. You should be ashamed of your treatment towards animals. It's one thing to force a much needed pill, but an unneeded and unwanted bath AND blow dry? We will NEVER be using your business again, and will be sure to inform anyone and everyone of the danger of using your services and of the lack of care and respect you exhibit. Our dog is very old and every day is spent trying to make him comfortable. Thanks for deliberately harming him and negatively and knowingly affecting is well-being. Oh, and thanks for taking our money to do so. IN RESPONSE TO TPH COMMENT Pets often have more than one owner. This account is not the account of the owner that signed our dog in whose name is on your records. I wish that we had seen the reviews that were negative before we settled on your business. We would NEVER have left our dog with you if we had. Call it defamation if you wish, but the truth is not slander and I will not lie about our experience with you to encourage others to leave their pets with you because I don't think it's safe. This is the experience we have with your business, it doesn't become defamatory just because you don't like it and it's negative. Anybody reading this, I urge you to seek out the poor reviews of The Pets Hotel and decide for yourself. Will you be like us, and say, "they seem fishy but have good ratings"? Or will you do what we wish we had done and read the poor reviews first because on the off chance they are true, you wouldn't want your dog or cat to experience anything less that the best? The Pets Hotel are obviously not turning out every pet in a bad state, but do you want to be the next one that has to get online and warn others of the risks? Do you want to be the next unfortunate pet owner who brings home a rattled and clearly unsettled pet? Do you want to take that chance? Do you want to put your beloved pet in the hands of a company that potentially delivers the experience that I and others have received? To avoid being deFAMAtory, I'll say this: Based on our experience with The Pets Hotel, we believe pets are not a priority, the staff are not informed of the owner's wishes or the dog's needs by the front of house or they blatantly ignore those wishes and needs. Based on our experience withThe Pets Hotel I could never truthfully recommend their business as I genuinely fear for the well-being of any animal placed in their care. The Pets Hotel may more often than not provide a stellar experience, but they did not this time and we would not take the chance again. This may not be the commonly shared experience, but it isn't isolated. That should be alarming to you if you say you and TPH do truly care about the pets placed in your care. If you wish to do anything to resolve this, make it that. Make it right for the next family who brings their pet home. But I wish I had seen THIS review. I know our dog wishes I had seen this review. read more

Fantastic! The Pets Hotel was recommended to us by a friend, who uses it regularly. We have boarded our Labrador at other different boarding kennels previously. This is the first time, we didn't need to take him to the Vet after he finished boarding as he didn't pick up anything! Very clean establishment. Also loved the way The Pet Hotel, assess the dogs for play! We saw him on several occasions via the webcam, with like dogs. We paid for extra playtimes, and we saw via the webcam get them. Brilliant!! Most other boarding places, we have paid for extra playtimes but are never sure, if he gets them. This time he came home exhausted from all the play! Excellent. Could't recommend them highly enough! Staff are very accommodating and friendly, especially Cara who helped me tremendously! Thank you we will be using The Pet Hotel again!!! read more

I am thrilled and relieved that I came across The Pet Hotel for my pets, particularly my little rescue dog, Missy who suffers from fear aggression. The staff at the Pet Hotel were amazing with her and made me feel at ease whilst I was away. I was given a code to view her on the web cam in the play arena and this really helped me relax. Missy was also able to have a free trial night to see if she settled in fine and has since stayed over for a long stay as well as my two cats. The staff are extremely pleasant and communicate with owners so well, the way they care for the animals and the cleanliness of the Pet Hotel is outstanding. I wouldn't leave my pets anywhere else. Thank you to all the staff who looked after my pets, Mischief and Chad the cats and my highly demanding little dog Missy. read more

Our pets have been using The Pets Hotel from just after they opened and we have only had great experiences. Our dog Barney loves coming and scratches at the door to get in. Our cat Bob enjoyed the cat suites and when he passed away late last year we received a lovely card and memorial plaque. The staff always remember who we (humans and pets) are and the facilities are terrific. Great having such a place close to town to save traveling too far. Having options for day care and long stays means Barney is used to staying there and feels more relaxed. read more

We have been taking our dogs to The Pets Hotel for about 3 years now. Having had a bad experience at other kennels, this is the only place to leave your pets when going away on holidays. The fact that your pets are housed indoors in a very clean environment is comforting but the fact that the staff are so attentive to the dogs is good for your peace of mind. We feel like we are leaving our dogs with people who treat our dogs the same way that we treat them at home - very spoilt! Highly recommend the Pets Hotel to all my friends. read more

Due to home renovations we have recently had our dogs staying at The Pets Hotel for a few weeks, which was a long time, for them and us. One is blind, deaf and possessive and the other is a complete guts, overweight and into everything. When they came back to us they were happy, healthy and showing no signs of stress, the fat one had even lost weight and was fitter! We also viewed them on webcam during their stay and they were having a great time. Couldn't be happier! read more

We love it here! We have taken our dog to other kennels before, and she was always miserable when we came to get her. Whenever we leave her here, whether it's a long or short stay, she is always smiling and happy when we pick her up. The staff are so friendly, and we really feel like they care about every dog individually. We would recommend this kennel every time, without a doubt!! read more
