Now we board at the Spa so our fur babies can be taken to the vet if anything happens, once again no vet visit. they did not clean Bear and he came home red, sore from going so much. although they said they did clean the blankets because they have laundry service there. now they said they have no documentation of him having diarrhea and would ask the staff if they remember anything. REALLY!!! then they send an audited bill after over 5 weeks to tell me we owe $125 or so for picking them up after Noon! which they also have no documentation of my son picking them up to drop them off at our home before Noon for us! These Fur Babies did not deserve to be taken care of like this. The facility smells terrible so I should have know their cleaning SOPs were not being followed! J.E.

They feed them and only return between 5-6 pm for pet owners like myself who pay extra to pick up their animal. I also left a message at the attached vet office. Needless to say I was very upset when I saw the condition of the so called pet suite and my dog that never messes in sh..t. Not a spa! Building was dark when I went to get my dog and no humans monitoring any of the animals. They showed up at 2 minutes to 5. The standards may have been better in the past but not now.

Always compassionate and always thoughtful about every path to keep a pet healthy. We just had to walk through our young cat getting lymphoma and the vets there did everything they could. In the end, they compassionately helped us with the end of his life. We are so thankful that they always take our calls, always have medication ready on time, and love our animals as much as we do!

I explained that she needed constant reassurance and responded well to talking and petting, but she didn't respond well to be rushed or ganged up on like some salons do. She said they would do their best and kinda quit listening while worked with something on the desk. In about 2 hours received a text saying my dog done and we could pick her up, As soon as we were at the desk paying the girl stated our dog who I had told them was anxious tried to bite the groomer. I guess despite telling them that she had acute anxiety and needed lots of reassurance they overlooked that! My dog's cut was ok at first but, upon closer looks her cut was irregular. The left was cut and it was nice, but the right side was only washed and brushed. It wasn't trimmed like the other side. The girl suggested that the next time she has to get her hair trimmed, give her CPDs! My dog is NOT a biter and is not aggressive if given verbal reassurance and talked to by a confident person. So if you have a dog that has anxiety issues or fear, I unfortunately can't recommend The Barker Shop!

I set up an appointment online, but received a phone call because the appointment slot I made was not for a large dog. They got her in even sooner for a bath and brush only. We have never trimmed our Bernese Mountain dog ever because we enjoy her long hair and it's winter. We dropped her off and went shopping. Surprisingly they called early and said she was ready to pick up. She is always so excited when we pick her up so we didn't notice anything, but when we got home we noticed she had been fully trimmed. We were very disappointed that our long haired girl received a full trim for the very first time. Even her five inch long belly hair was shaved to a stubble and all of her long hair on her feet was gone. So I called to let the owner/manager know. She was apologetic and offered some money back but we didn't pay for a full haircut so I just wanted to let her know that we didn't receive what we had initially requested. The trim looked good, it's just not what we wanted. We will take our furry baby back there, but will make sure next time it's clearly understood what is wanted.

They took the time to listen to my concerns and discussed every option (both cheap & expensive) for my tortoises care. Unlike past visits (stow/kent & memorial) to treat the parasites Paul has, none of the other vets ever gave us medication or suggested a change in diet. But Dr. Riggs clearly provided me with a few food choices that the internet & previous vets informed me were not options. As well as medication to treat the parasites. He even went over Paul's xrays with me & explained the image in a way that anyone could comprehend. The facility itself was very clean and I noticed a lot of sighs promoting saving the environment & some eco friendly products around the office :) Dr. Riggs is/or was on the state committee to fight against animal abuse in circuses- this guy deserves a medal in my book. Can't say enough about the awesomeness of the staff and the quality care my pet received!

Cleveland Road, I enjoyed meeting them, but also after a huge remodel (they leveled the old building and built new) their prices went beyond my budget, and Mairs is like FAMILY to me ! Love Love Love them! But they are so busy, when I desperately needed vaccinations, spay surgery I had to find a back up plan. VOILA! New Pittsburg Vet Clinic. Alyssa is the Office Manager and a highly respected peer in my dog obedience competiton family of friends. Alyssa warmly welcomed me, and there is no looking back. I can pop in, and put one of my dogs on the scale at anytime. This is part of my dog training protocol, to acclimate dogs for being excellent little model citizens when we visit the vet. Dr Wiley has been great, and beginning of 2023 the addition of Dr. Laura Conley. We love the veterinary team at New Pittburg. They have been very accomodating during the past three years with me and the various situations that come with dog ownership and responsiblity.. New Pittsburg Vet Clinic treats me and my dogs with professionalism, respect, and compassion. We heartily recommend them to all of my dog clients.
