It's been around 2-3 months since I visited this shop for repairs on my phone, and I thought I should review now it since a considerable amount of time has passed for me to make a formal review. Around June my phone suddenly had a black screen (Samsung galaxy 21+) and I thought perhaps it was the battery dying. Rather than take it immediately to be examined like a smart person, I decided to try and fix it myself.....aka force the back of the phone to loosen up. This turned out to be a very bad idea, since new phones nowadays aren't like the old covers where it's easy to take off the back. Lo and behold, the cover shattered, so not only do I have a black screen, but I now have a shattered back cover. It was just one problem after another. At that point I realized I was in way over my head, & decided to take my phone to ATT thinking they could fix it. Unfortunately repairs were not part of their service, however, the employee I spoke to recommended the Phone Doc. Not wasting any time I decided to drive straight to where the man said it would be. I thought it would be difficult to find considering 100% of my navigating relied solely on my phone, which as I said, now has a screen as black as my mentally ill and depressing soul; however, the shop turned out to be a lot easier to find. It's literally right across from the Steve's Burgers on S. State street and East Florida Ave, can't miss it. Anyways, I took my phone in the shop, and thankfully perhaps because of the hour, it wasn't busy at all. The man immediately examined my phone, which is when I realized my phone wasn't necessarily dead, but a bulb perhaps died out. This typically tends to happen with refurbished phones, he explained, because many refurbished phones tend to be fitted with cheaper parts, rather than the original parts, hence why it broke so easily. Needless to say this will probably be the last time I buy a refurbished phone, especially considering I'm now about to spend more to fix it than if I had just bought a new one in the first place. Anyways I got a quote of 200, which at that point I didn't care if it was cheap or expensive; I just needed my phone fixed as soon as possible, since I tend to rely it for almost everything. It took a day to be fixed (I decided to pay for the overnight shipping) and by 4-5pmish the next day it was fixed. My parents picked up the phone since I was at work and couldn't pick it up myself; and needless to say, I haven't had problems with it since. My purple cover was replaced with a white, pearlescent cover, which as much as i loved the purple cover, I honestly felt this looked better. This review went longer than expected, but to summarize: the service was quick and good, the prices I believe were reasonable, and I'm glad I came here. I recommend the Phone Doc. read more

Awesome service replaced my battery and now I no longer own a hot apple and have more life than just 5 minutes

Anthony was very prompt at responding to messages I sent him regarding my phone issue. He did an excellent job of repairing my phone. I needed a battery replacement on Galaxy S7 Edge, as it was overheating I went in to pay him so he could order the parts needed on a Monday. He said he'd have the parts Wednesday afternoon, which I had planned to go in and get the phone repaired at that time. By 5 PM Wednesday he hadn't called, (he's open until 7 pm) therefore I called him to see if parts arrived. That's when he informed me that he couldn't get the parts from his original supplier and had to order them elsewhere. The phone was rescheduled to be repaired the following week as the parts weren't scheduled to arrive until Monday He failed to notify me of a change of repair date. He did however call me on Monday afternoon when the parts finally arrived. Now you might be thinking it's only a battery, well this battery was overheating the phone to the point I was getting error messages and I couldn't charge it whilst it was overheating. I had to put the phone on the AC vent in the car or a bag of ice if at home. I needed to get the phone in to replace the battery before it blew up my phone and melted it. After the screen and LCD cracked on my Galaxy S10, I called Phone Doc based on their good Google reviews. I called first for pricing and spoke with Anthony, who spent a good amount of time with me on the phone, explaining the costs and process. Part of the call was that he was unsure if the TouchID (fingerprint in the screen) would still work, because it was a new technology. So he took down my number, researched it, and called me back promptly to confirm. Being new, he did not have the S10 part in stock - but it took only one business day to arrive. Once it came in, he quoted two hours on the repair but it actually took less than an hour, and came out perfectly. Overall it was a great experience. After many detrimental mall kiosk visits, I came across this location (by accident) and I am so glad that I did! Went in with my iPhone 7 having a Touch ID issue, my phone was opened up and the problem located right away. Due to a disconnected cable, unable to just "reconnect" my screen was replaced..very quick process, verified my Touch ID was properly functioning before my payment was taken. I've gotten my phone done here a few times now. But most recently, I got screen fixed and the colors of my display changed. It looks as if there's a filter on my screen at all times. It also took a long time for it to turn out that way. Then I didn't even want to get it fixed after all that. Will probably try somewhere else next time sadly. read more

The lcd on my iPhone 6s went out because it was cracked so I brought it in (without calling ahead or anything) and the guy said he could do it in 30-40 minutes. It was $70 but he worked super quick and that's cheaper than a lot of places. It was convenient because he had all the stuff in stock to fix it that day. It works great now! read more

I find it hilarious that the example message that Yelp gives talks about staff wearing gloves and masks during a pandemic. On the door outside this place there is a sign that says you're required to wear a mask to enter yet NONE of the staff are ever wear masks when I come in. So much for caring about your customers' safety. Anyways, I dropped off my nintendo switch lite to have some soldering fixed and paid 200$+ to have 1 part fixed. I had taken off the casing myself and included ALL the screws in the box I dropped off. I then received my switch back with none of the screws holding it together put back in and part of the inside paper(?) popping out the outer shell. They also gave me a baggy of screws back. I called and they said they didn't put the screws back in because I had dropped it off with the screws taken out (I saved the employee time by taking the screws out in the first place IMO). You would think after paying over 200$ to get one part soldered they would atleast put the screws in on the outer case to make sure it doesn't fall apart. I would like to have atleast been warned that it wasn't put back together but I was told nothing. I'm never going back and I'm always going to recommend a different place that actually cares about not giving their customers COVID. read more
