My son broke the strings on both of his tennis rackets while playing in a tennis tournament, and we needed them re-strung in a jiffy. I called this place, based on their Yelp reviews, and they were really nice over the phone. The person who does the stringing is Aki, and he was really wonderful to work with. Given my predicament, he was able to turn around the strung rackets within a couple of hours, and I am really grateful for that! They also had a wide variety of strings available. I went with the Solinco Regular 17 gauge this time, but may try other strings out in the future. The stringing service (since I was buying the string from them) cost $14/racket, and the string that I selected cost $12/racket. Obviously taxes apply on top. read more

As an avid pickleball player I heard about this store from some other friends and knew I had to drop by after my paddle finally took the turn. Right when I walked in the staff were attentive and kind. They asked great questions about what I'm looking for in my play and provided recommendations. They helped with grabbing the demo paddles and set me off to test them out on the indoor half court. The staff are so patient, obviously love the sport, and not judgmental regarding your play level. It would be beneficial to actually be able to try before you buy as they have multiple paddles of multiple models. If you open your paddle you won't get a full refund. We made an appointment to review/purchase a paddle and Matthew was a rock star! We tested around 10 paddles and he was able to give us detailed feedback on how each particular paddle would react to my playstyle. My wife came with me and he even got my wife hooked on a new paddle (which we will be visiting again soon to purchase that one!) Matthew was extremely knowledgeable about each of the paddles and why I would or wouldn't like certain ones. It was extremely convenient to test all the paddles at once! Time to get a new paddle (my current paddle is more than 10 years old). While I did read up on features I wanted in a new paddle, I certainly didn't feel well educated. The sales help was terrific. They picked out about 5 different paddles that would suit my needs with varying price points. How to pick which one??? Easy at the Pickleball Exchange. They have a half court inside the store with a regulation size net and NVZ. I got to play out points with my sales person (sorry - don't remember his name). Based on my "road test" of the paddles, I was able to pick out the one that felt best for me. Made an appointment to buy pickle ball racquets and had a wonderful time with Hunter, the sales representative. We tried out at least 10 racquets each, and bought three. Being able to test racquets on their mini pickle ball court (in the cold A/C!) helped us really figure out which racquet we loved. We ended up purchasing the best racquets we tried out... Hunter (6yrs playing) was VERY knowledgeable with both the game and racquets. He was able to suggest certain racquets to match the way we played. We tried out racquets for an hour with Hunter, who was a fantastic coach/player/salesman. He was far superior to us and dialed his game down so we could really figure out what racquet was best for us. The racquet prices were a little better than online prices. It seems like the only game in town where you can demo racquets, which is so much better than trial and error with purchasing without trying out. read more
