Just spent an amazing weekend at Warner Center Pickleball's Easter weekend tournament. It was such a blast with great people, food and pickleball. I am new to the area and am so glad I found quality pickleball at Warner Center. Came for Tim's "Advanced Open Play" on Monday nights and it was nice to find other good players there. Competitive games, yet good natured so everyone had fun. They have other levels of play on different days/nights. Parking is free for the first 90 minutes (validate your ticket near the 7th floor elevator) then $2.50 for each 15min. so be aware of that if you stay too long -- or park across the street at LA Fitness. I hear they are moving / merging with Calabasas Pickleball Center -- and I'm exciting about the additional courts and more open play days/nights. read more

Change owners. I know Leslie is supposedly done there in October and I hope this is accurate. She lacks leadership skills, management ability and doesn't seem to accept any responsibility for her actions. I thought I was through with her negative attitude and she popped up at the new outdoor Calabasas facility where according to her she runs the facility. If you call there and ask for the person in charge it won't be her. She once told me I was no longer welcome at Warner Center because I RSVP'd for a DUPR event that had no explanation as to what that was several years ago. She lives in a very different world with a slanted perspective. If she only understood she self sabotages herself and needs to heed the feedback she has been given people wouldn't roll their eyes at the mention of her name. read more

Shout out to Warner Center Pickleball for being my home away from home. Earlier this year, in February, I started attending Guided Play and Open Play at Warner Center Pickleball. At the time, I didn't know much about the game. I'd taken a couple of beginners classes somewhere else and was looking for a place a little closer to home. Even during my first guided session, the coaches took a very supportive approach and showed an interest in helping me get better -- me, someone who was a complete stranger and outsider to the group. Now, five months later, I take the elevator upstairs (it's on the top floor of a parking garage) and everyone -- players, coaches, family members showing up for support -- all greet me with smiles and always make me feel so welcome to be there. It is a wonderful environment and such a welcoming community for people of all skill levels. I've since been to a ton of other pickleball places, just to get a feel for how other places are, and you just don't get that level of community that you find at Warner. During Guided Play, I've gotten to work with coaches like Julie, Geoff, DJ, Fritz, Tim, and Glenn. They all have their own unique experiences and own ways of guiding people, and there's a coach there for people at every stage of their pickleball game. They are all great, and the reality is they genuinely care about helping people. About a month ago, I started taking lessons with Glenn, and he has really helped me focus on areas that were preventing me from "leveling up" (as a video gamer, I had to slip this in somewhere). I've noticed a huge difference in how I play pickleball already (even though I'm still definitely working on things), and I owe it in major part to the classes I've had with him. While using the pickleball "Erne" machine, Glenn's been reinforcing the correct way to hold the paddle, hit a ball, stand, and play a smarter game. He's probably the nicest guy ever, and he really has a lot of patience and provides a lot of encouragement to everyone. So, if you're looking for a place to play pickleball in the LA area, you should definitely check this place out. read more

The tournament was exceptionally well run and organized. Great communication and use of technology though, for some of us technology challenged, it can be overwhelming. However, the staff was there to help us out all the way. It's too bad China didn't come through with the medals! read more

I just played a "tournament" here today which unfortunately was not up to standards I am accustomed to. I have played in over 50 tournaments in the last few years and this is the first one that ran out of water prior to our matches beginning (ours began at 2:00). No snacks to speak of and balls that were not new. There were no instructions given prior to play on how the medal rounds were to be formulated and played. The co-ordinator, Leslie Maltz, had the wrong teams playing each other during the medal rounds and did not reverse it. And to top it off there were no medals as she said they were too expensive! Not certain where the $55 entrance fee went but most of the participants agreed that they would not be returning. read more

Dirty, poorly run, lights don't work, cables everywhere to trip over. They don't even have permanent nets. Management is unreasonable. No need to pay to play pickleball. There are so many great parks with open play. read more

My husband and I just attended the Beginner Pickleball class at the Warner Center Pickleball in Woodland Hills, Ca. Sherri was our instructor and she was thorough and attentive. Leslie, the owner is friendly and organized. It was our first time there but we will certainly go back. Also, parking is inside the parking structure and make sure you bring the ticket up with you because there is a validation machine for 1 1/2 hours time. Took an intro class here early September that kicked off my pickleball addiction. The class was perfectly structured to teach you what you need to get started playing. Then I went to a couple of guided open play to learn more. It was a safe and inviting environment to learn pickleball in. Courts are great and plentiful, very well maintained. People are nice and welcoming. I continue to go for open play, and participate in the league. I would be there even more often if I lived closer. A great way to face different level competition vs just playing at the same local park. Yes, you have to pay to play but where else can you warm up by heaters in between games when it's cold out? read more

Woodland Hills needed permanent pickleball courts and we now have 7 new courts at Warner Center Pickleball. Really great facility offering classes, league play and open play. My first encounter with pickleball was here on taped courts March 2021 and Warner Center Pickleball has come a long way. WCP has worked hard to offer so much more than open play. read more

Great group of people...as a new player I found it very welcoming and after coming for the past year it has become my happy place. Ownership has GREATLY expanded the league and class openings as well as the opportunities for advanced players with a Monday night 4.0+ open play on 7 courts ... several pros in attendance. Private lessons with excellent coaches for all levels. Honestly what has been done here in the past year is pretty impressive. It's a huge community and you can always find someone to grab a game with! *** to those with the clearly motivated negative comments that seem like more of a personal attack...I would caution you that most people read those and assume you have an axe to grind, not valuable input. It really is more a reflection of your character than the quality of this program. Just some friendly advice, if you want to be heard, don't scream. If you want to be taken seriously and of value, have meaningful discourse not emotional slander. read more

Nice courts, convenient location. It is pay to play, but when I went there was zero wait time. That's a big deal for me.

Commuting east/west coast and looking for places to play on west. Been to several around town, but Warner tops the list. 3 and Me clinic was well worth it (JR is a great player/instructor). Advanced open play after that was surprisingly one of the best I've attended in the U.S.. Did not know anyone. The players were friendly, welcoming and high-level players. Really competitive, but in a fun way. Exhausted after 2 hours and well worth the cost. Will plan on Warner as my preferred club. read more

Warner center pickleball is a wonderful place to play pickleball and meet new people. I always have a great time during open play. The courts are new and beautiful. The music is great and the environment is so welcoming! $15 for 2 hours of open play is a great price and there is never much of a wait as there is a cap on the amount of players each night. I just love what Leslie, the owner, has done to make Warner Center Pickleball the amazing place it is. read more

Tried pickleball for the first time today at Warner Center Pickleball. I did an intro course. The class was well run and the staff was very nice. I was a guest of a member recently and even though the facility looks pretty it is not welcoming. First it was really hard to find because it's not clear where to go when you first going there to meet someone. I was also shocked that I ended up paying quite a bit for parking. I wish I had known in advance so we could have carpool but I didn't see anything about parking when I looked online. Also, I guess I expected to be able to shower afterward, but it only seemed like they had a regular restroom and no locker rooms. It just seems that that would be a basic standard of a sports facility or gym. Second, I felt the environment was very offputting because the people that run it came across as difficult and argumentative when I heard them speaking to other people. I'm not sure if it's just one or if it's two women who run the facility but the shorter blonde one was dismissive and rude to another player when they were just trying to find out clarification about some rules. The other lady seemed OK but she just didn't have any personality and if I am paying to play somewhere, then I want it to be a friendly welcoming environment and not where I feel like I am afraid to ask questions questions because of how I hear them speaking to others. I didn't rent a private court so the pricing was OK but a few people mentioned that there were other places to play in the valley and next time I think I'm going to try that and see if people are friendlier. This place has so much potential, but I don't think I will ever go back. read more

I play here as often as I can. My experience has been that the people are cool as they could be. I've even brought my Mom a few times and she has always has a great time. Might be a different vibe in the mornings but at night I think they do a pretty good job and I'm grateful to have a cool spot like this to smack some balls with some very cool people. read more

Finding Warner center pickleball has been one of the best things to ever happen for me! I was looking for a hobby and decided to try pickleball and now I find myself playing at least 2 times a week. WCP feels like a second home and Leslie has become a friend and I look forward to seeing her on the weekends when I can make it! I did not pay $60 per hour, in fact I'm going Sunday morning where it's three hours for $20. Great deal and ample parking. I'm bringing my friends as well. read more

I love all the different options during the week to play. I rarely have had to wait at all and play for 2 hours non stop. The people there are really nice and welcoming, even the really good olayers on the challenge court! They have some cool clinics and I love Live Ball on Saturdays with Erin Sataloff. I've made a bunch of new friends and always look forward to playing. Sundays they even have 3 hours for only $15. Best bang for my buck! read more
