I'm a big fan of the Pilates Shoppe. The instructors (Jen and Cory) are able to provide challenging classes while able to make accommodations for the range of abilities and injuries in all classes. So, I have been wanting to try out this studio for awhile. I signed up first thing Saturday morning and at first the computer said it was open then full then open. I was so confused. I called the studio many times, and no one picked up. I got there about 20-30 minutes early and I told the instructor my situation. I told her my theory that they shut off class an hour before and that is why it was glitchy, she assured me it shouldn't be a problem. So then at 8:03, about three minutes before class was supposed to start, she told me in front of everyone who had amassed that there was no room for me. So that was a little embarrassing .... To add insult to injury, I had a free yelp class. She told me she would call me next week to set something up. She gave me perhaps the world's smallest post it to write on, which is probably the reason I still haven't heard from them. I was all ready to use some of my scratch to get a package because the times are convenient and the studio is close to my abode. It is great to offer a free class with a check-in, but it's not so great to reject you in front of ten people and then never follow up. read more

My wife and I starting going to get in shape for our wedding and have not stopped since. We go 3 to 4 days a week and absolutely love it. The Pilates Shoppe has a total of 4 A+ instructors all of which are super cool and well versed in Pilates. If you have never tried reformer Pilates and you are a bit shy about it like I was they also offer private classes and semi privates (2 people). The group classes will hold up to 6 people. They also offer physical therapy which works hand in hand with the Pilates classes. I have only had a chance to work with Dr. Tim and he is top notch. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! read more

Last June I was searching for a new Pilates studio and started trying every studio I could find in South County. I've been doing Pilates for about 5 years now and have become a bit picky in what I want from a studio and an instructor....lucky for me, The Pilates Shoppe was exactly what I was searching for! Clean studio, professional instructors (all with different styles so you'll never get bored), ample equipment and several convenient class times. They really care about your safety too - I have neck spasms and sciatica and need to modify exercises. I've been taking classes at The Pilates Shoppe for over two years. All of the instructors are top-notch and highly experienced. They pay very close attention to each student during the class to ensure that you are using proper form and to prevent injuries. I started taking classes with a lower back injury and the instructors were sensitive to my injury and demonstrated ways that I could modify exercises. Even in a group forum they were able to provide me with individualized attention. My back has gotten so much stronger after taking Pilates classes and I rarely have lower back pain. This is a significant improvement for me. Every class kicks my butt and is an incredible FULL BODY workout that will challenge every muscle in your body. The hour just flies by and the workout is actually enjoyable. Being on the reformer allows for toning and lengthening of muscles and you are able to strengthen AND stretch your muscles at the same time. The instructors will definitely challenge you with every session and push you to your limit! No class is routine and we are constantly performing a variety of demanding exercises. I've done Beachbody workouts (P90X, Insanity) and Ballet Barre, and by far, my absolute favorite is Pilates reformer! It is an amazing work out that will definitely help tone, sculpt and reshape your body! read more

I started pilates while I was in PT for a back/neck injury. Since then, I have been released from PT and feeling amazing. The instructors are so accommodating and always help you modify! The Pilates Shoppe has the best reformer classes in the area! The instructors are all amazing - there is a warm family feel to the place. The classes are reasonably priced - there are 6 or less to each class, as well as a special room for privates and semi-privates. It's located inside of Aliso Viejo Physical Therapy, so it's kind of hidden, but what a hidden gem it is! I have been going to The Pilates Shoppe for about 6 years. I worked out consistently prior to adding pilates to my schedule, but once I started doing reformer classes my body never looked better! If you can go two or three times a week you will certainly see a difference and feel amazing! Even if you have had prior injuries or limitations, this is a workout you can still do and see results. After contacting a few Pilates centers without responses, I contacted Jen at The Pilates Shoppe and at the end of the business day, Jen booked my pre-surgical one-one sessions. Jen and Kristen were courteous, professional and patient with me as they assisted me in working-outs.
