Im a converted eater. I am not a fan of back ribs or barbecue sauce. I do love the Pinoy style barbecue but not I don't get the taste of the barbecue sauce. Its sweet, salty and a bit sour. Its a mirage of flavour all gone wrong for my tastebuds...WRONG!
After dining here at Pilgrim's, I can say that I like barbecue sauce. I tasted worcestershire sauce (that spelling got a good five minutes from me!) and I always thought that this flavouring was the magic ingredient for any Chinese sauce (just like Kikkoman's for Japanese meals. LOL). That's just for the sauce. The back ribs are a different story. The meat was cooked evenly, it was still warm when served, the juices redistributed. Slicing the meat was so tender. the back ribs rub compliments well with the sauce. A cup of rice isn't enough for one. The serving size of the meat was good for 3 persons so its a great "close friends" meal to share.
Pilgrim's interiors exude a backpackers' area vibe. There's even a tack board where you could look for tour packages and tips on what to visit here and abroad. read more
