While the piercer was starting to remove the smily, I bled a little. I was bit shocked that when I slightly tapped her to stop pulling since it was starting to hurt, she just kept going. Wish she could have been more mindful to stop and made sure if I was ready to go again, felt like my skin was going to get ripped off (ultimately, this is what I was trying to avoid doing it myself) $5 plus some change to remove it, plus if you go when its a little busy you will have to do it on a time when you do not have to time crunch. I came here awhile back to get a PA piercing done. Brennan was one of the kindest person and very gentle while performing the piercing. He provided after care instruction and advised if I had any concerns to reach out to him. He also suggested that I do a 2 week follow up which I did. During the follow up he changed my jewelry for a better fit at no cost and informed me that the healing process was going great. I will be returning to him in the near future for additional piercing. Have been a repeat customer who was very happy with my previous experiences & piercer; however, I will not be returning. A month ago, I went in for a double helix & conch piercing. I was offered studs or hoops. I chose hoops, not realizing that hoops are NOT recommended by the Association of Professional Piercers. Since I am not a professional piercer, I rely on the professional doing the piercing to guide me appropriately. As a medical professional, if a patient asks me to perform a procedure with the wrong equipment, I don't just say "well, that's what you asked for" (As the owner has stated on another review mentioning hoops should not be used) My piercer this time was Tana. She was rushed and frustrated because it was very busy, which was understandable...however, she pierced my conch crooked and the hoop caused my hole to 'slit' into a buttonhole shape. 3 weeks after the piercing, I went to an APP recommended studio and the piercer was VERY thorough and recommended that I remove the conch piercing and allow it to heal, as the piercing was so crooked and way to close to the edge of my ear....it was more a snonch, but due to the crooked hoop, an appropriate labret would likely reject. I'm so disappointed that I spent the money, pain and time for a piercing that was done incorrectly from the start. ***RESEARCH YOUR PIERCING PRIOR TO GETTING IT HERE....make sure you have the knowledge to request the correct piercing jewelry, because apparently it is your responsibility, not the professional's*** Edited to add for owner- you are correct, I should have reviewed the positive experiences I had. Both were actually with you years ago for both my daith piercings and it was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, I was not a 'Yelp' person or reviewer at the time. I will respectfully disagree with your opinion, as there are even multiple reviews here stating the issues with hoops and it is widely recommended worldwide not to pierce with hoops due to the extended healing time & higher risks. AND, the fact that the conch was incorrectly placed AND crooked was a separate issue from the hoop. Awesome time at this piercing shop. My sister and I waited 1 hour on a busy Saturday around 1pm to get pierced - there was 12 people ahead of us (we were lucky to find a spot to sit since the waiting room is so small, many were just waiting in their car). The front desk was super friendly and helpful with answering all questions. Upon arriving you need to join the wait list via a QR code and sign a waiver. The place was clean and nicely decorated. Our piercings were perfectly priced ($40 for conch, $40 per helix, and $10 for the titanium jewelry). The gal that did our piercing, Aly, was super sweet and explained everything to us during the process and the recommended after care. Will definitely be coming back in the future! read more

Went in for my daughter's nose piercing. The front desk staff was very pleasant. The only down side was the wait. It got very busy, very quickly! We originally arrived at about 12:40 and there was no car in sight. Made it back about 1:05 and it was a full house!! It took a little bit over an hour for us to get to the back. Once there, the process was awesome! Our piercer Ally was kind, professional, and reassuring to my daughter. She explained everything that was going to happen and talked to her every step of the way! The first time I went in it was because I had an infection in a piercing that they did not do (important to highlight this) and they could not have been more helpful, even though it was not their mistake to fix. I ended up also getting my septum pierced while I was there, and they gave me some antibiotic swabs to clean both of my piercings out complementary with my service they were so nice and explained everything. I decided that I wanted a nose stud Piercing at the age of 74. Well I was certainly nervous and the oldest person in there. They made me feel welcomed and at ease. It was somewhat painful but quick. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Plan 3-4 hours between check-in and actually being seen, but stay close enough to check in in person about 1-1.5 hrs in--that's what's happened twice. Here's my second experience: I wanted to swap my nose piercing out and knowing how quickly they can closer freaked me out so I wanted to spend the $10 to have someone do it. My original stud ended up being tightly wound so I'm glad I did this. First off, quality-wise, this place is great. Customer service is pretty good. The staff is good about setting expectations "we're running behind" and "I'm going to do x, then y, then Z." It's the reason I keep coming back--I'll take a horrible wait to go somewhere with excellent hygiene and to avoid infections or worse. That said, this time I waited xxxx. I checked in at 3:50 and I was 17th on the online waitlist or e-list. I got a text at 5:17 to say it was my turn and the e-list showed I was 3rd. Went in and the staff member told me they were behind and I could wait in the car so she could text (the list still had 12 people even though the e-list said I was 3rd--I think when they text they move you from the e list to the written list. 10 mins later (5:26) I got another text saying it was almost my turn. I popped in but nothing had changed. My husband and kids were waiting in the car and on my last visit this part took an hour. So I asked the receptionist-type-gal how long I had as I live about 20 mins away and needed to take my husband home. She said I had plenty of time. At 6:29 I got a text saying it was my turn. I went in, happened to get Little Taylor who had pierced me. She's great, good at communicating. I also liked that she had done the tightly wound piercing. She had to pull pretty hard against the stud using two surgical pliers going opposite directions, but didn't hurt me. I paid and walked out at 6:40. The wait was horrendous, but I liked that I had SOME freedom. I recommend communicating expectations as much as possible. The service and quality and cleanliness is amazing. And yes, I would absolutely go back which is why I MUST give a high review despite the long wait that is miscommunicated by the current waitlist system. Thanks for coming to my show. read more

Got my first ear lobe piercing here. Wait wasn't very long as I went on a weekday afternoon, but I heard from a friend who went here before that it does get pretty busy. Taylor H was my piercer. She was careful and diligent, making sure that my holes were even (my lobes are fat and shaped weird lol). I was nervous as this was my first piercing ever, but she made me feel comfortable :) Price of piercing includes the jewelry. The owner was nice enough to advice me to come 15-20 mins before they open the next day. Did that and was the second person in line. They got me in and helped me pick out my jewelry for my piercings. We brought our daughter to Pin Cushion for our daughter's first ear piercing and we had the BEST experience! Alex was sweet, funny, and talked to our 6 year old girl like a little lady. This really made our girl feel empowered to take care of her own aftercare. The vibe was like a girly, cool tattoo spot - very clean and comfortable! We happened to arrive just as five other girls arrived before us, but we didn't have to wait long at all. Have been wanting to get my second piercings in my lobes since around March. Now that it's July there was finally time to get it done. I looked around and this place by far had the best reviews and it did not disappoint. They only take walk-ins and due to a steady stream of customers I was initially put on the "car" waitlist- where you wait in the car until receiving a text to head inside. Looking back at my messages I was added to the list at 7PM and told to come back inside at 7:06, so the waitlist was moving pretty quickly. From there they asked about latex and metal allergies and then presented me with three different size earrings to choose from to get pierced with. After a few more minutes waiting inside I was called back. Two people were back there, one who explained aftercare or the piercing to me and marked where to pierce as well as the piercer. Both were super friendly and talked me through all the steps. The piercer- Krystal- talked me through the process as she pierced both of my ears and the process was done pretty quickly after that. I checked out right before 7:30. Pain varies person to person, but personally I only had a full ache in my right ear for about an hour or so. I'm including pictures of my ears from about 4 hours after getting pierced- no swelling and very minimal redness along with no pain. The right ear photo makes all my skin look pretty red, but looks more like the left ear in real life. If I end up deciding to get one more piercing in my lobe I will definitely come here!! read more

I will say that it pretty much always is SUPER busy, so be prepared to wait a minute. The piercers are professional and work pretty fast with great results. And my first love piercing. I brought my 16 y/o to get a belly button piercing. I searched places in the area and this one had great reviews plus you could ask questions through the app. They answered very fast and I was able to make an appointment for her a Saturday morning. Since she is a minor I needed to bring her birth certificate, my license and her ID! Which I thought it was great! We arrived there and they were opening. I have been wanted to curate my ears for the longest time.. finally bit the bullet and started the process. I came in knowing what I want and these ladies were so helpful! I often get bored with how I look. Even in COVID times, between Pinterest, IG and TikTok, there's no shortage of ideas. I wanted a "curated ear" via Maria Tash, but I'm not in NYC, London, or Dubai so I decided to get pierced now and order the jewelry later. Initial plan was to do Tragus and Daith, until someone cautioned me that it takes a long time to heal and it makes wearing airpods difficult. New plan, start slow with a flat and one close to the rook area. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/186969822020009278/ I looked up The Pin Cushion on Main, which is in the old townish part of Frisco, and the reviews were good. This area looks like you've stumbled onto the set of Footloose (dated reference), and TPC is a small building with a tattoo shop next door. I think you can buy a tractor across the street and eat a steak in a restaurant that's actually a house...I'm still not used to living here. Bad timing on my part, it was Saturday afternoon and it was packed - mostly with high school girls who had just gotten permission to get a nose or navel piercing (or both), with moms in tow to sign off and pay. Protocol is to sign in, and then go wait in your car until they text you. There's a tracker which tells you how much time you have, and it was pretty accurate. I think I waited for about 30m. They had a jewelry display there with options for the piercing and for after. Light eyes and light hair = I am allergic to almost everything, so I was happy to see they had titanium and yellow gold options as I have a nickel allergy. Taylor H was my piercer and she was awesome. We discussed what I wanted and she made suggestions, marking various parts of my ear. Once we settled on 2 spots she talked me through the process, told me about aftercare and we were done. She did an awesome job from start to finish. The first couple of days were painful and I woke up to a bloody mess (which they warn you about), so I am glad I started with both on the same side. I followed the aftercare instructions and every day the sensitivity diminishes. Here we are 3 weeks later everything is healing fine. I'm definitely going back to see Taylor again soon for a few more piercings on the other ear! read more

When I got my cartilage piercing at The Pin Cushion (the one with the diamond), my piercer told me she was piercing me with a 16 gauge. I waited for the piercing to heal before ordering new jewelry and switching it out. The problem is, I wasn't actually pierced with a 16 gauge. The piercing above the piercing I received from The Pin Cushion (the black hoop) is ACTUALLY a 16 gauge and fit the new jewelry I bought. You can tell the gauges are different by comparing the jewelry (silver C hoop is 16g from my 1st cartilage piercing), diamond stud is the jewelry I was pierced with at The Pin Cushion). I'm guessing I was actually pierced with an 18g. I'm pretty annoyed because the intent of this new piercing was to have both piercings match. My initial experience with this place was excellent, so I'm extremely disappointed that I was not pierced with the proper size gauge. read more

The people that work here are SO nice. Very welcoming, professional, and make you feel at ease. I went in for a jewelry change for my nose ring. I wanted a stud instead of a hoop for a job interview and couldn't take it out myself. They showed me all the options and walked me through every step of what they were doing.
