Stopped by Pines Tap and Table, an American restaurant and bar, and had the Rodeo Burger. It was excellent. The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly, topped with crispy onion rings, melted cheese, and BBQ sauce that gave it a really great smoky flavor. Everything tasted fresh and the portion size was solid. The place has a great laid-back atmosphere, perfect for grabbing a burger and a drink. The staff were friendly and the service was quick even though it was busy. If you're looking for a good American restaurant and bar with great burgers and a relaxed vibe, Pines Tap and Table is definitely worth checking out. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu. read more

Even though they were out of some menu items, we still had a tough time deciding what to order. I finally settled on a calzone with cheese, mushrooms, peppers and sausage. The dough was excellent and the fillings generous and fresh. It came with a tasty tomato sauce which would have been even better warmed. My husband had a flatbread topped with fresh tomatoes, avocado, cheese and crispy chicken. The flatbread tasted like it was freshly made. All the toppings were fresh and tasty. Service was excellent. You can tell great care is put into their dishes. Restroom was spotless and spacious. Definitely a gem hidden off the beaten path. read more

First time at the Pines. Heard the food was good and we were in the neighborhood. Plenty of parking all the way around the building and once you enter it looks like many other north country bars. Pine on the walls, pool table, dart board and tables scattered throughout. Bartender let us know to grab a seat wherever we would like and the waitress was quick to take our drink order. Ordered the rodeo burger (all burgers are 8oz) and Irish nachos with chicken. Burger was quite large as expected, cooked medium as ordered and a bit on the messy side to eat as expected. Irish nachos was a nice portion of chicken on top of what appears to be house made chips with salsa, sour cream, jalapeños and cheese. Good flavor and more than we could finish. Only odd thing is they don't bring a bill, the waitress tells you the total. Heard the wings are worth a try so if we make it back and I remember....I'm game. read more

Large parking lot, a few handicap parking spaces. Love the fireplace. Very busy bar. We stopped in at 3. Bar was busy, took a while to get service but we weren't in a rush. Disappointed limited menu until 5. I was craving a burger, they only had appetizers chicken sandwich and maybe fish . Appetizer were bone in wings, boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, fries, tater tots, poutine. We were hungry so we ordered medium bone in wings they were crispy, good size and delicious. We also had mozzarella sticks, they were good. Very cozy and pretty surrounded by pine trees. Once we were served everything was good. read more

Enjoyed the Pines on a recent business trip. Service excels here. Ate here for lunch one day and dinner another day. The building and interior are a bit dated, but not in a bad way. They had the fireplace going, and it reminded me of a lodge. Seems like a place that regulars hang out (at the bar) but everyone is welcomed. Had some wings, a green chili burger, and my colleague had a pasta dish. The food was good, and prices are fair, even if it's strange to see "market price" on wings. I am seeing that more often now. On a Monday in Malone, this is a good place to dine, but you'll be happy any evening you go here. read more

Have been going here for lunch consistently while traveling on business. The service is always great, with staff that is always helpful and smiling. Excellent selection of drinks and food. The owner went out of her way to accomodate my co-worker's vegetarian diet as well. One day she even promised to go out to the store for the next day so that she could serve a black-bean veggie burger. We both had this burger and it was great! Another home-run is the grilled veggie and cheese (not on menu yet). Seriously out of this world! Also tried the grilled chicken sandwich - the chicken was tender, fresh and juicy. I really could not believe that the best place to eat in Malone is also the most reasonably priced. The place does not look like much from the outside, and certainly looks like a towny-bar on the inside, but is very clean, friendly and inviting to a business traveler far from home. This place originally opened as a bar way back in the day when the prisions were built. They still have a pretty hefty bar business, and have recently greatly expanded thier lunch menu. The Pines has pretty much every sandwich imaginable, hot or cold, lots of sides to choose from and desserts that look like a dream. The service was eh, she brought our food and never came back to check on us. read more

Called in an order for some Friday night pizza and wings. Very friendly staff and speedy service. Great pizza even better wings! The dough was fresh and all the ingredients were of quality but it was the wings that stole the show for me, Buffalo with a twist I could not pinpoint it in the 6 wings that I devoured but I am sure I'll have another shot at it. The establishment is under new ownership with a new menu. Can't wait to stop in again and try something else! read more
