I had a very disappointing experience with this business. I ordered an initials ornament via the Pink Monogram website and chose the option to have each letter the same size rather than the last name initial in the middle. When I received the ornament, the middle initial was larger than the first and last initials--totally NOT what I ordered. I sent an e-mail to customer service and received no response. A few days later, I called to follow-up and they told me there was something wrong with their website, and it's not even possible to have the initials be equal size with the type of ornament I ordered. You think they would have called to tell me that when I placed my initial order, but they went ahead and produced exactly what I didn't want anyway! The woman then proceeded to tell me that they can offer a refund if I return the ornament but they cannot promise a new ornament delivered by Christmas. I said I'd like a refund. She said she would e-mail me information about how to return the ornament, but that was a week ago and I still haven't received anything! Wanted to alert folks to misleading advertising of products, while also sharing excellent turn-around and delivery from this business. The item ordered was a Silver-Plated monogrammed compact, we ordered a large quantity which they delivered with the correct monogram design on time. BUT what we received was a nickle-plated cheaply constructed compact worth around $5, sold to us for $18 per item. The ad on the site clearly states Silver Plate, and thus the price is justifiable. The owner, Monica Smith ignored this discrepancy when pointed out. Nickle is approximately 50 cents per ounce and very inexpensive, where as Silver costs more and provides a genuine higher value. I had an LL Bean backpack and a clear makeup bag monogrammed by them. The backpack was a stitch monogram and the clear case was a vinyl sticker. They did a FANTASTIC job on both. They have an extensive amount of options and colors for the stitched monograms and less of the vinyl (but still enough). While I did love how my products turned out, their prices were pretty high. Especially for the vinyl monograms. I'll probably look around for other places in the future to check out prices, but for something really nice I think it would be worth it. And the gifts and other stuff in their store are to die for!! It is a 250 dollar cuff bracelet and the website states it could take up to 3 weeks to ship out and then when I called she said 2 21/2 weeks. We stopped in this afternoon and they were able to monogram my daughter's North Face backpack she received for Christmas (not from their store) They were able to do it while we waited and it looks great. Great service Since it is after Christmas they said they were low in stock but we saw many beautiful items. I called a local embroidery store that was not even open on Saturdays. Update. With no resolution from Dr Claw on getting a refund, I had no choice but to notify my bank and the start the sequence for disputing a charge. The bank temporarily refunded the money and began "their" process for disputed charges. Two days later I get an email refund notification from Dr Claw. I ordered a gift for a Christmas gift on Dec. 8th, 2011. It was not monogrammed - just a tote bag that was to be shipped from a distributor. I still have not received the tote, Dec. 29, 2011 although The Pink Monogram said it was being shipped, but did not provide a tracking number. The shipping charge was $13 and the item was ordered in plenty of time to ensure delivery before Christmas. I requested that the item be cancelled and all monies refunded but the company has not even responded. I will be contacting my Visa company tomorrow. I'm highly disappointed with my fist and last experience with this company. It was recommended by a co-worker and I wish I had shopped else where. I was extremely excited to purchase a large tote. There were options to "customize" the order. Well it was obvious what I was attempting to order. I chose design, strip colors then made a small mistake on the end for the letters being monogrammed... no strips on letters, is what it appears to be. Well 3 weeks later I received my tote. Not to my liking at all. Contacted owner to see what had happened where was the customization I had chosen. There were not strips on my tote just initials. They said I had chosen the not strips option when I was choosing letters. They weren't willing to provide me with an option to fix the issue. Needless to say shop elsewhere, don't waist a dime in a company not willing to resolve an issue. This was not my first order from the Pink Monogram...in fact over the past couple of years I have ordered numerous items online. I have never had an issue with any other of my monogrammed items but this last one. I placed a order for a monogrammed necklace for my daughter. When it arrived it looked different than mine that I also had gotten from the Pink Monogram. Our last name is the initial C. The C on my daughters was very different than the C on mine....honestly it did not even look like a C. When I called to ask about it I was given 3 different answers on why. None of which were acceptable me. Monica was condescending about the issue and basically I am stuck with a ugly, hand cut item that does not even look like my daughters initials. I have had a horrible experience with The Pink Momogram and let them know that is they did not rectify the mistake they made on the monogram that I ordered for a graduation gift, that it would leave me no other choice than to let others know.
