Every single time we come up to Kernville we go to Pizza barn. This trip was no different. Your staff is amazing and very nice. Food was prepared well and all your employees keep the place immaculate, great job! Even the young man cooking in the kitchen, came out to change the soda bib for us, because it was empty. My only critique is we've been coming there for years and we really miss the salad bar. Your least expensive salad option was nine dollars. I think you should offer just a basic dinner salad for $3.99 or $4.99 on the side. I think you would actually sell them. Just lettuce, tomato cucumber, croutons, (maybe shredded carrots) and dressing. Just my opinion of course! read more

26 dollars for probably the worst pizza I've ever had. Ive been here 3 other times and it was hit or miss but tonight was on a whole other level. Toppings were thrown in the middle and all around the crust looked like it inflated and got burnt. So a slice was half burnt crust and the other half was very thick cheese. I would have posted a picture but as soon as i got home, saw it, tasted it, it went straight to the dumpster. Also sweet pickled jalapeños? Ew.. read more

This is absolutely the best pizza I've ever had. Every time I go to Kernville I always eat here at least twice. It's always fantastic and consistent. Service and ambiance is also great. If you're in the area and love pizza like me then you gotta give it a try. They say pizza is like sex even when it's bad it's still pretty good if so Pizza Barn is my soul mate. They also opened a bakery in town which I had to try and it didn't disappoint. Had a chocolate donut, butter croissant, and avocado toast. All were fantastic. read more

KILLER PIZZA EVERYTIME! I live 4 hours away and literally crave their pizza. On our yearly trip to Kern, that is always the plan for our last nights dinner before we head home. We come up here at least once a year. But never have stopped in but it was recommended to us by a family at the River. There is nothing like getting a pizza after a day in the sun. We are usually cheese and pepperoni people, but today went with the pepperoni and the Lickety Split. We really enjoyed both. Two mediums were enough for a family of four. Employees were great. The best pizza!! Literally!! Their crust/bread is sooo soft. It's like you're biting into this soft bolio pizza heaven. Just go with a regular cheese or pepperoni. The simplicity and perfectness omg lol we get a pizza every time we're in town. And we think abt it/mention it all year round lol. The wings are also fire too! They're fried and crunchy and delicious lol As for the service they're not overly friendly, but when you know your job and are efficient you don't need to be. I've never had a wrong order. Even when they were out of cheese topping the girl went above and beyond and made us a to go Parmesan. This is a family owned restaurant and the whole family works here, they are so sweet and the service was great! Their pizza is phenomenal but the ranch dressing is next level, I would come here just for the ranch. They have actually edible gluten-free pizzas, regular pizza and an amazing salad bar. Because of COVID-19 they can't have the salad bar open, but they'll make your salad for you in the back. Pizza Barn also has a little arcade in the back with CLASSIC arcade games! They're so fun, I would definitely recommend bringing your family here for dinner. read more

They don't properly enforce COVID rules. My family of 6 couldn't sit together due to COVID restrictions, but the cashier wasn't even wearing a mask, AND their arcade was open. LOL. The Zesty Garlic Chicken Pizza I ordered didn't even have cooked vegetables. Raw crunchy onions and tomatoes fell all over the place with every bite. We sat outside in the sun because we needed two tables, and those were the only ones available. There is little to no shade on the street side of the patio. We we. I will never go back again. This place was too disorganized I ordered a pizza and then they told me I couldn't use the bathroom. I was told to drive down the street and use another business/ bathroom. The young cashier was a very kind young lady, however, after returning from driving around looking for a public facility- my pizza was not done. Inside the kitchen were two teenagers standing around. I'm not impressed with how the business was run during the dinner hour. The pizza was above average- I have had better. A group of us go camping in Kern every August. We always stop by the pizza barn for some pizza. Good crust. The kids working there are great. It takes awhile, but all good things come to those that wait. It also has some arcades to play while your waiting for your food. The white pizza (I think that's what their supreme combo is called) is always a winner. See you all next August. read more

I am very picky about my pizza living in Brooklyn and Sanfrancisco & LA also having traveled all over Europe and just plain ol being spoiled. We ordered the fries and fried green beans with homemade ranch, pepperoni pizza and The Mario's meatza with Alfredo base. All of the food was absolutely delicious and I have no complaints. So we drove down and randomly saw this place and decided to have dinner. We ended up speaking with the owner. We asked about lodging and he told us he did not have anything available. He came back to ask us how we're doing and we asked if there was other lodging close by. He said they would most likely be booked. We told him about the night before and how we were very unprepared for cold weather. In front of him I told my boyfriend that we can sleep in the truck again, no worries. Next thing I know the owner came by again and said he has a camper for friends and family that no one is in and he offered it to us, saying he felt bad that we froze. We were elated. I have never felt more grateful and it reminded me that there really are kind souls. He walked us over and provided us towels and turned the heat up. It was perfect. We sat by the fire pit with others, who all had nothing but kind words about this place. People come every year and stay here. I felt such a warm welcome from everyone. My boyfriend and I are so thankful for the owners. We both said we can't wait to come here more and hopefully decades down the road we can stay in the same camper and reminisce. I will tell everyone about this place. It's nothing fancy but it's definitely special! Thank you for making my entire weekend.

Here is my positive and negative review based on our experience when we were there. Positive: Food cook perfectly as we asked for. We have 12oz and 8oz fillet mignon, 2 orders rib eyes steak for mom and her husband, large suchini appetizer. Pickle is delicious, you can ask as much as you want for free, good bread. The owner stop by at our table, my mom gave him compliment about the website video he done such a great one, so my mind automatically expect great service. Neg: My mom has reservation at 6PM, we arrived 5 mins b4 6, they didn't have or can't find my mom reservation. Waiting a bit then get our table at the last room due to a large parties were at the patio and crowded and noisy which no big deal for us, we can see the big parties from our window room. It took an hour for our steak, salad served with a warm bowl, suchini too dry to eat. By the time the steak ready, we are half full with bread, salad, pickle and appetizer. 5 minute after the waitress brought the food to us, my mom asked a box to go, my husband ate not even half of his steak, I can't finish my meal either. We are so full end up to bring our food home. The waitress take too long to bring our bill and we still waited again for our debit card back then walk to look the waitress at the bar ask our card. The whole experience is not my expectation with the money we spent we should get better service, also few flies and mosquito flying around on our food. I hope they consider to improve the service better in future
