They even had an entire section of pots and planters, some locally made by artists. My favorite thing was the little skull planters with a cactus in it that looked like a brain. They even called it "The Brain." I also found a very pretty peperomia, which I wish I could have taken home. It was nicely variegated and I haven't seen those colors before. We parked across the street and down the road but it wasn't a far walk at all. We had come from a small cafe.

But there are also plenty of things to fill your outdoor space with artsiness and style. I couldn't help but marvel over the tin garden sculptures of animals. Fashioned out of recycled materials (or so it seemed), these creatures are creative and somewhat abstract. Position one or two next to a solar powered gurgling bird bath and you might never want to leave your garden again. For me, I was drawn to the succulents. Spiky, cute, and virtually un-kill-able, these little bad boys are my favourite. Maybe it's because they also make me feel like a bit of a badass. It's not true, but a girl can dream, can't she?

The menu has a great choices of gourmet takes on traditional meals. Open BLTs, open meat pie, risottos and good choices for kids as well. We had a table of 12. Meals were prompt, delicious and the service was courteous, attentive and always with a smile. The atmosphere created by being immersed in a rainforest was perfect. Really warm feeling and the layout on a large deck allows you to have a feeling privacy as well. Place is very kid friendly as its fairly well sectioned off from any main road. On the carpark side they sell landscape supplies and if you buy enough, they will deliver for you. You often see the trucks driving through the hills area. As all other landscape places today they have the ubiquitous cafe - called Secrets. Great for a cup of coffee and sandwich or pastry but don't expect much more. Most things are reasonably priced. Great for getting garden ideas as they have a few displays. One strange thing to remember, they aren't open on the weekend.

Most of the plants are well priced .one problem I did have after purchasing about 40 plants for a hedge was that I was told they will have a batch the following Thursday. I was told to give them a call and they will get more in after numerous phone calls I gave up..

Flower Power has plenty of other stores throughout Sydney but this location is a favourite, attracting locals and customers from afar. It is one of the largest Flower Power shops, with the staff informative and helpful. Avoid the Flower Power store at St. Ives- the flowers and plants look very sick, indicating that they might not be well looked after. The nursery at Terry Hills have plants which are fresh, healthy and well looked after.
