Love this place. The man and lady are always nice. They don't follow you around but are there if you need advice or have questions! Ive been coming here for 5+ years and their prices have barely gone up. The pots are expensive but i think that bc i'm a thrifter for pots Its alot of natives and things that grow in this climate as opposed to pretty plants that die once you take them home. this is such a cute nursery- i loved their selection, there were so many beautiful options and some i hadn't even seen before. a lot of their plants are so much cheaper than at home depot and other stores, their prices are pretty great. they are missing some snapdragons and some color variety on lilies, but still was a different selection than other stores. definitely worth stopping by, we loved it!!! read more

We live 30 minutes away so we called to make sure they had a certain plant in stock. They said they had 3, so we asked them to save 2 for us, we would be in shortly, even gave our name. I purchased seeds here in the Spring. I had watched a child playing in the bulk seeds and the mother was not nearby. The child was mixing the seeds from one bin to another. Over and over this year I have noticed that I have not the plants that I purchased or planted. This has always been a great place for good quality flowers and vegetable plants. This nursery is pretty underrated! More people need to review this place. It's not until you enter the premises that you realize that there is a plethora of plants and home gardening materials that you can purchase! The main building is where you can shop for gardening tools, fertilizer, seeds, humming bird feed, you name it! They have both an outdoor and greenhouse nursery. I love the variety of plants that you can find here. I mainly came here to search for a Venus fly trap, unfortunately they do not have them here. But they have all the typical outdoor / in door house plants. I enjoyed looking in the greenhouse. They have rows and rows of succulents and pothos to choose from. There are also a lot of cacti. Walked in, man and lady behind counter, no words, no greeting. Walked around plants 20 min, no one came. Plants knocked down, dry, some nearly dead & nothing to say if deer resistant. Young guy& girl walk out of a little room, walked past us, got in car & left. Deciding business did not want our money for entire yard & flower beds, decided to leave. Walked past counter/register area, 2 females, chatting, both looked and went back to looking at each other. Nothing came out of their mouths...can we help you, did you have any questions,...NOTHING. One trip and done here, heading to Fanicks in SA in hopes they want to landscape our new empty yard. Will not come back annually to update after winter. Really surprised a garden center prefers we shop elsewhere. read more

I'm not gonna lie some of the reviews had me worried but you know I didn't experience anything bad at all!! I talked to everyone working there and they all were so dang nice and very helpful!! Even shared a few laughs with the older gentleman that worked there that some said in their reviews that he was rude. I absolutely liked that guy!! He was so helpful and very funny!! The other two ladies were very nice too!! For my first time being there I can honestly say I will go back! They had an amazing selection of plants!! Very nice nursery! Kind knowledgeable team and good selection. Prices are comparable to other nurseries. They have a nice mix of some natives and other plants. All of mine over the years have been healthy and pest free. Recently I got pentas after watching a hummingbird at the nursery sipping from them. Good selection of herbs, some vegetables, and soil additives, including the hard to find cotton burr compost. Also has large tubs to use as planters, as well as many pots. Well stocked shelves inside with such things as fertilizer for different plant types, and the person at the counter took me directly to items I was looking for. One reason we chose to try this place out was because we wanted advice about where to plant things, etc. I was underwhelmed. We wanted bluebonnets and paintbrush. They had neither...which we found out after finding an employee watering plants in a far corner. There were no knowledgeable people willing to advise. For Bluebonnets they suggest the grocery store. It is a little sad that a grocery store would have a better selection than a dedicated nursery. read more

I am really trying to like this place. They have a good selection and the inventory looks healthy. The counter lady is helpful but the manager / owner is just a sour guy. I wrote it off to maybe just being a "grumpy gardener " kind of guy. But, subsequent trips reveal a surly attitude. I'm not looking for "Mr.Rodgers in a plant store". But a friendly attitude and a grateful disposition goes a long way. They are one of the few companies that have prospered during the pandemic. How about saying "thank you" to your customers? The people at Plant Haus were very kind and helpful. I'm a first time gardener, attempting to grow tomatoes in a newly built garden bed --- I asked a lady there for help and she helped me figure out the amount of soil I needed. In addition, she recommended I do a blend of mushroom compost and planting mix instead of just the topsoil I planned to do so my tomatoes will be getting better nutrients! I bought 30 bags in bulk and got a discount which is super nice. Funny enough, I couldn't fit all the bags in my car so they are letting me come pick up the rest tomorrow. The one and only time I've been to The Plant Haus I brought home a Ficus Burgundy only to find it had thrips. I definitely checked it before purchasing but apparently not well enough. In all the plant nurseries I've bought plants from this is the first one I've had to battle intense pests. Check your plants when purchasing from here. read more

I could move in here. The plants I've bought here are thriving. Prices are good, and the staff has helped me greatly. I am definitely new to the gardening world, and they have helped my transition from professional plant killer to the Martha Stewart of plants. Our first time there we went for a certain fertilizer and were approached by a man for him to tell us that our plants didn't care whether we gave it another mixture he carried vs another combination that he didn't have. Yes, the owner is different and so is the staff. I don't know this guy has been in business for 40 years. I as a human just try to understand why he talks the way he does but I don't know. A lot of people at this point of this career do act like this in any profession. I think they all mean well but it never translate well and then we live in a somewhat entitled world so this guys behavior doesn't clash well with that. Great place with an incredible variety of plants, flowers, trees, bushes, herbs, etc. The people who worked their were very friendly and helpful. We were there probably 30 minutes and was asked if we needed any help probably 5 to 7 times. When we did ask questions the employees were very helpful and had lots of knowledge on where and when to plant flowers with different types of sun/shade. Decent Prices too. Overall I was very impressed with the endless selection and the customer service. I would recommend this place to anyone with gardening needs. Keep up the great work. read more

I'm done, never again. I've been a long-time customer who's spent 1000s of $$ at the Plant Haus, but today was the last day. The owner, Weston, is quite possibly the most unhappy jerk I've ever been around. If he's not unhappy, there's no reason for his behavior. I have no doubt why he's not married. I had a photo of these little "things" that were popping up all over my garden, showed him the picture, and you'd thought I'd committed a murder at his nursery. The way he spoke to me is inexcusable. I've seen him do the same thing to many people, but this time I'm DONE. The girls that work there are great, and possibly the people that keep him in business, and frankly, he doesn't deserve them. But too bad I'll never see them again. One would think that someone that inherited such a successful business would be thankful and at least a little kind to the people that pay his bills, but not once, over many years, have I seen him be nice or polite to ANYONE. He should pay ME for putting up with his rudeness for so many years, not to mention the 1000s of $$ my parents spent there over the decades, but NOOOO, he just keeps on. Now it'll be with one less customer. Go to Green Gate in Seguin, by far the best nursery in the area. read more

The people that work there are not very helpful whenever you ask for advice or have questions. Their attitude towards customers is severely lacking and, on top of that the prices are higher than nurseries in the general area. I will not bother going there again...Walmart, Lowes, and Home Depot have the same stuff at lower prices. Very very poor customer service. The man that works there is awful. I think he was one of the rudest business owners I know. I have been in the store many, many times and purchased alot of plants and veggies so they know me. I walked in Sunday and the man and the employee continued their conversation about their weekend behind the counter. No acknowledgement. I walked out and the man just glared at me even though I smiled and said good bye. Not a word. Nothing. He did not say, "Did you find what you were looking for?" He did not say, "Thanks for stopping by." He did not even say, "Good bye." No one needs that. I won't be going back again ever. read more

Be aware this company does not replace plants that do not survive planting. I purchased over $600 dollars worth of landscape plants. (about 25 shrubs. 2 died almost immediately. When I went back asking for replacements, I was told it was not their policy to replace dead plants. I bought the 2 replacements but it is the last purchase I will make at the Plant Haus 2 in Kerrville. read more
