Everybody who worked here was very. friendly. I did the flyer ride. It is about a seven or eight minute ride, It was a lot of fun. It's one of those where you sit in the seats, and then the floor drops out from under you, and it is like you are flying over the city. The wind blows in your face, and when you were going over the water, you feel just a little bit of a spray. I don't want to give anything away, but it does take you all over the city. It was really a lot of fun. The only reason I'm taking off a star, is because the flyer ride is a bit expensive. It's $14 per person, adult or child. That wasn't too bad for myself, but if you are more than two or three people, it can add up. Regardless, it was well worth the money for myself to do. I wouldn't ride the same ride again, but if they changed the movie, I would definitely ride it again. This ride is also part of the "San Francisco city pass." I had fun... Thanks.

An okay one-time tourist attraction…read more I didn't know this existed until I came here with my family this past weekend. It had been a while since I last visited Pier 39. We were showing my aunts and uncle around the city, so I thought this would be something fun to do with the family. We had 8 people, and it was $14 per person. After we got our tickets, we went up the escalators to the second floor and walked inside. There was no wait. We sat in the top row, and we could see the edge of the screen. If you have the option, I would recommend choosing the bottom row. Note, if you're super, super afraid of heights, this may not be for you. The guard rails go away and the platform slightly lowers during the ride. I'm afraid of heights but this was nothing for me. However, my two aunts told me they were gripping the handles tightly the entire time. The experience was really short, about 5 minutes or so. For the price, video quality, and duration, I wouldn't pay to do this again. Definitely not worth the $14 per person.

Although it is small, this is a nice thing to have for kids visiting Pier 39. There are things that I never would have appreciated before I became a parent, and this is one of them. Typically we stop here before heading home, giving my son some time to just play and run around before sitting in the car.

It was my first time going to Angel Island and on 4th of July. I was excited to see the fireworks…read moreand celebrate my kiddo's 13th birthday. After getting out of the ferry, there was a line where we were be driven in trams to the observation area. Because we had brought a cart, one of the park employees brought it up on a van instead. The island is beautiful, historical, clean and makes me want to visit again. Once we were in the area, it provided a view of the fireworks in Sausalito, the Golden Gate Bridge and the random areas within the city with fireworks. Although the colorful fog was more visible than the fireworks itself, just the experience of celebrating Independence Day as well as a birthday was worth it. We had a chance to watch and listen to a canon get fired, we got free neon lights, watched civil war soldiers, listened to the star spangled banner played by a small band. There was a small concession stand that sold sodas, coffee, hotdogs, cake, wine and brownies. Overall a fun experience, I would come back to explore the other parts of the island.

You get incredible views of the San Francisco skyline, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the surrounding bay. It is a great spot for hiking, biking, or just relaxing by the water. The highlight for me was the Immigration Station. Walking through the barracks and reading the poems carved into the walls is powerful. It gives you a deeper appreciation for the history and the experiences of those who passed through. It is not something to rush through. Take your time and really take it in. Try to go earlier in the day so you have enough time to explore both the trails and the station. Also check the ferry schedule ahead of time so you are not cutting your visit short. Overall, it is a great mix of nature and history. Beautiful, meaningful, and definitely worth visiting.

It is a bit dated with a metal slide which was actually not very smooth so the kids kept getting stuck on it when they were coming down. However, they still had a good time. Lots of benches available for parents to sit at and keep an eye on their kids. There is only one entrance/exit which is nice as it decreases the risk of your child slipping out without you noticing. There is a public restroom located somewhat nearby as well as other shops and a parking garage.

They have au natural play area, with stumps and posts to climb, lounging hammocks , stone slide, sandpits with hand pumps, lots of rocks to climb, little climbing wall. I asked the kids if they ever got bumped by a shark and they giggled, agreeing, "No, but most times we go out, seals want to play and swim under and nose us, it's funny."
