I returned to Dr. Henry because he treated me well in the past, and I trusted him with my care. However, since my insurance changed to HMO, I wasn't told in advance that he no longer accepted it. I explained that I was willing to pay cash, as he already knew my case, but instead of being supportive, he was dismissive. He told me to "just get in a boot for six months and don't ask me anything else" since I didn't want or couldn't pay for an x-ray. The front desk staff was equally unprofessional--rolling her eyes at me, speaking in a flat, unfriendly tone, and even refusing to hand me a pen for paperwork. I left the office in tears from how poorly I was treated. Dr. Henry didn't even notice or correct that I had my air cast on completely inside out. He also made it clear he disliked filling out FMLA paperwork, charged me $75 for it, and still didn't complete it correctly. When I asked for corrections, I was ignored and had to go to another doctor to fix it. He consistently spoke over me and then tried to tell me it was my fault that he filled out the paperwork wrong. I don't know what has changed since my first visit, but this level of care and treatment is unacceptable. No patient should ever be made to feel dismissed, disrespected, or neglected this way.

Dr Politz is brilliant. I went for a 2nd opinion, but did not disclose that I had seen another…read morepodiatrist. I have seen many podiatrists in my life as I had ingrown toenails, even as a child. I had previously gone to another Las podiatrist Dr S with 5 Yelp stars. Dr S said I wouldn't like what he had to tell me... Dr S said I had to have both of my toenails removed and permanently cauterized. Dr S said I would no longer ever have big toes nails. I was not offered an x-ray. Thank God I am in the medical field. The diagnosis by Dr S made no sense to me. Not taking an x-ray made no sense to me. I told him I would think about it and Dr S replied, you will come back when you can't stand the pain. 2nd opinion: I waited 2 months to see Dr Politz who immediately x-rayed one foot and found that my left big toe was badly broken. The break was obvious on the x-ray. She fitted me for a medical shoe/boot. Dr Politz then looked at my big toe on my right foot, which had a terrible ingrown toe nail on both sides. Dr Politz offered surgery for the right toenail and permanent removal of only the side walls, where I have suffered with ingrown toenails for years. Results: 3 weeks later... Broken toe is healing and pain is less than 50% of what it was. The x-ray today showed the bone is healing. Surgery was done on my right big toenail on both sidewalls were removed and cauterized. Today, my toenail looks great and I no longer have ingrown nail on my big toe of my right foot... I am out of pain and have a beautiful healthy toenail on my right foot. I am so grateful to Dr. Politz and her team. I experienced extraordinary care from her and both of her assistants. Her front office person is busy and very proficient. She has become very warm and friendly, as I have now been back for post op visits several times. Dr Politz saved my right big toenail and is resolving my broken toe, before I proceed to have the same ingrown toenail surgery on my left big toenail. She would not operate on the left big toenail until the fracture healed. She said it would be too painful. Dr Politz has a big personality which I totally enjoyed. She is enthusiastic, funny, sincere and loves Frango mints from Marshall Field & Co in Chicago, where she went to school. She is straightforward, confident and and empowered me to make great decisions and progress because of her knowledge. Her Father was a podiatrist and she has experience beyond her many years in practice. I have experienced her treatment as that of a perfectionist with excellent results. Dr Politz follow up care is thorough. Highly recommend her as the best podiatrist I have ever seen. If you live in Las Vegas, she is the best of the best. No matter how far away you live, Dr Politz is definitely worth the drive. 5 stars plus! Like most Doctors or Scientists who are Brilliant Genius types... Dr Politz is unique and a bit of a wild card. She is the bomb if you want a real Doctor who obviously cares about delivering the highest quality treatment.

Two of her nails had become very thick. Trying to trim them or file was painful for her. So I thought a podiatrist could give us insight. I chose her solely on location and that her site claims to be versed in dealing w/elderly. Absolutely not the case! She had zero patience with questions and said we weren't cutting her nails properly. At one point she said "this isn't a pedicure." I truly was dumbfounded at the lack of humanity. She had ZERO patients while we were there and I can clearly see why. Her office staff was polite. The Dr is the problem. Please don't take elderly family members there. She is incapable of being an empathetic Dr and helping our elderly feel cared for. She does the opposite. She makes them feel incapable. Most 85yo can't reach their nails to cut them. Her nails were thick long before I moved here to care for her. She could have easily explained things and set us at ease but she chose to rude and condescending. We deal with a lot of specialist in Vegas. We have never had the experience we had today. She should be ashamed of herself for being so rude and hateful yet taking an oath to care for her patients. She is very rushed to go through appointments, she refuses to discuss anything else besides of primary reason for your visit (so that you have to come back) and when I tried to schedule insoles pick up for my mom and other issue addressed at same appointment which was confirmed by her office she stormed out of the room after 3 minutes . Very very bad "bedside" manners and really she wants to charge for as many dr visits as possible not realizing her patients have to leave jobs early drive back and forth. Not mentioning she is bringing in tablet that is on video call during pts visit without asking patients are they okay with that. Left work early to make the appointment only to walk in and be told they didn't actually save my appointment and the doctor needed to leave so I wouldn't be seen. So frustrating and I will absolutely not be making an additional appointment when you can't respect someone else time or even "save" appointments properly.
