Our main goals were to address poor manners when people came over (jumping/barking), poor leash manners (pulling/leading the walk/leash aggression for one of them), and all around general behavior training. We wanted, and needed, help to rectify these things before our son became truly mobile. We emailed Pat on a Friday night and he called the next day. We spoke for over an hour and he reassured us that things would be okay. We scheduled a training session for later that week and haven't looked back. He is an incredible teacher; he took the time to learn about our dogs, our family dynamic, and what our hopes were for the training sessions. He began teaching us right away and showed us how to get into the minds of our dogs. We are five sessions in and there has been such a vast improvement already. We are currently working on walking both dogs and pushing the stroller - a dream of mine - that is soon to be a reality. We genuinely look forward to each session and getting to hang with Pat. Our pack was definitely out of whack but Pat has been instrumental in teaching us how to teach our dogs and reframe our thinking. If you are looking for a no BS, honest, caring trainer/behaviorist, and you are willing to trust someone, and put in the time and work, look no further - he is definitely your guy. We cannot recommend him enough.

We first started working with Tom when we brought our second (yes second!!) puppy home. We were trying to integrate 2 puppies under 6 months old (a Lab and Shih Tzu) in 1 household. Tom gave us reassurance and additional tips and tricks to manage the household with 2 puppies. Our Lab went through the offleash training program that Tom has to offer and it is incredible how quickly she learned! Tom has the patience that you'd want in any dog trainer and is so extremely knowledgeable. He treated our dogs like they were his own and never rushed us through our sessions. Tom takes the time and really invests his energy into his clients and their success. During the timing of our offleash training, we were experiencing some territorial behavior issues with our Shih Tzu. If it wasn't for Tom, I don't know how we would have ever gotten our Shih Tzu to be where he is now. He is a completely better and different dog than he was. He listens better than any Shih Tzu I have ever met (especially being a stubborn breed)! If you are looking for a trainer who cares, who is knowledgeable, and who will invest the time into your dogs, you found the right person. Tom, thank you again for all that you have done for Dakota and Moose! We are forever grateful for you!!!

All that Tom did with Dahlia (6 months old) Tulip (7 years old) wanted to be included which Tom did willingly. He would show me something a few times then hand me the leash to do it myself. Everything he taught 'us' we did at least 2-3 times a day every day and that is what you have to do to keep the puppy learning. Of course his Happy Howie treats that he carries in a bag no his belt was the best incentive ever. He even sent me a picture of what I should buy on Amazon. Both dogs love it and really listen to the commands to get some of the treats. Even Tulip does "Place" now a well as Dahlia! I can't say enough about Tom...his manner, personality and his huge repertoire are the best things about him except his professional manner. Dahlia and I are working hard on 'off leash' and he is doing really well. I would recommend Tom to anyone having an behavior problems.. He also will text you back with any issues you might have which is the best part of it all. Thank you Tom for everything!!

I let one employee know, who called another girl over. she told me the fish "like to lay down". I told her i have a betta fish and theyre not supposed to be swimming in algae. She said "they would be cleaned tomorrow" (good to know theyre not cleaned daily). She took one dead one and one gasping for air "to the back". Guess that one wasn't saved. Got death stares from her for the next 15 mins i was in the store even though i did not blame her. So i bought another sick one and saved him (hes doing so well now just because i gave him clean water and space). But his fins are all ripped and tattered because he was corroding in his own waste. Shame on you, Petsmart. For real... do better.

I really just wanted him to get a haircut and deshed, but that wasn't an option. Upon arrival, they told me it would take 2 to 3 hours. This made no sense to me. When I asked why, they admitted that they overbook every appointment and always have too many animals and not enough people to perform the pet grooming services. I received a call 2 1/2 hours later telling me that they were not able to give him a haircut because he was too "anxious," but they gave him a bath and deshed. I was very annoyed. It is their job to perform grooming services, yet here they are calling me saying they cannot perform grooming services. I basically had to pay $100 for a bath I could've done at home and for them to deshed him. When they brought him from the back, they handed him to me and said he's still wet because he was too "anxious" to finish drying him. They couldn't even blow dry the cat! To top it off the added a "Special care fee" to the bill. They couldn't even do the job that I paid for, yet they were charging me an extra fee.

Greetings again fellow Yelpers...... Although it has taken…read moresome time for Ownership to offer a rebuttal, it finally was posted. In order to continue to provide you with factual, informative feedback, this latest evaluation of that response is now posted. Ownership contends that the "pack" is walked 3 x per day. When closed circuit video was operable, clearly, the dogs within the large play area were not taken outside; this was verifiable after watching the camera feed continuously over an 8 hr period. (There is insufficient staff to walk all of the dogs, on leash, within the nearby wooded area.) Sadly, the dogs continue to relieve themselves directly onto the play floor. The suggestion that existing smells on the floor contribute to the triggering of relieving themselves is lame at best. Considering that the play floor is sanitised regularly, and that it is a sealed floor, the dogs are simply compelled to relieve themselves onto the floor; there are no lingering smells. Don't forget, a single staff member is assigned to immediately clean up after the dogs "go". With regard to dog owners using the view window to check up on their furry friends, that window is limited to the small dog play area. Unless dog owners intend to camp out at the one window, it's unreasonable to suggest that the one view window provides proof of the dogs being walked, the lack of a closed circuit TV feed notwithstanding. TV feeds for dog owners was taken down several years ago; you should be concerned about that decision.
