Consumer Beware - Absolutely Horrible Experience If I could give zero stars, I would. Hiring this pool company was one of the worst decisions I've ever made. Not only did they completely neglect proper maintenance, but they actually managed to turn my pool green with algae--yes, green, like a swamp. It was crystal clear before they touched it. Their customer service is equally atrocious. Calls and messages were ignored, and when I finally got a response, it was dismissive and unprofessional. No accountability, no apology, and certainly no urgency to fix the mess they created. They acted like it was no big deal, while my pool was literally unusable. This company is the definition of negligence and incompetence. Do yourself a favor--stay far, far away. There are plenty of other companies out there who actually know what they're doing and treat customers with respect. Learn from my mistake. read more

Darwin has done 2 pool equipment repairs for us now and we really appreciate the speed in which he comes to do the work, his transparency in pricing, his guidance on the best approach to repair our equipment and the quality of his work. He's super friendly and took time to explain different options to us for our repairs. The first fix was installing a new Hayward filter because our last one cracked. We were able to get it fixed within the week and back up and running. The most recent fix was installing a new automated pool system to eliminate one of our filters and one of our pumps. It was a major improvement to our current system and everything is so easy to control now. Darwin was able to install everything within the week he got the parts we needed. He is very quick during the business week contacting back through phone calls or texts. I highly recommend this service if you have a pool. read more

We were looking for a new weekly pool care person. We contacted Pool Bros and Darwin stopped by. The initial meeting went well. He was on the same page as us when it came to our pool service needs. We set up the start date and billing with him and were expecting him to start the next week. We also asked for our pool filter to be cleaned on the start date as well. However no one came on the set date. Our calls and texts to him went unanswered until 8:30pm. When he called to let us know he left his phone at home for the day. He did not offer to have someone come the following week, just that he left his phone at home.This should not have mattered because he told us he was not the person who would be cleaning our pool and we set up the service a week prior. We don't know if the service is good or not because they could not even show up. read more

This is by far the worse pool experience I have ever had to deal with. You can't get anything scheduled with Darwin. Darwin will not even contact you after he schedules multiple appointments with you and him/his company don't show up or call period for the scheduled appointments. If I could give negative stars I would. They took over a company that provided great service and took it to a new level of negative. Never communicated when they did "extra" service and just invoiced it without notice. Invoices were only sent when I had to text them about it. Said there needed to be a repair and I asked for an estimate which I never received! Most of these pool services are not run by professional businessmen and you get less than what you pay for. New company came in and asked if we had a disagreement with our old provider because everything was turned off. The level of dishonesty is very perplexing and I'm sure they will try and divert the comments back to me. Please compare and look at ratings. There's a reason for negative ratings. read more

If a business changes company name and number so that the previous unhappy clients can't find it, it's just a shady business. Darwin told me that I have 6 month warranty on the repair of my fountain pump, but avoided my calls even though it has only been less than 3 month. My pump did not leak before he repaired it and he insisted that it has nothing to do with the previous repair. First of all, it will leak because he took it apart and put it back incorrectly. However, I was willing to pay for the additional trip for him to come back to fix it. He promised that he was going to come by but never did. I got someone else to repair it and confirmed that the seal wasn't put back well. Find someone else that you can trust, this is just not the way to do business. read more

I have been using Deepools for a couple years now for weekly pool cleaning. Their prices have been really reasonable and they are also reliable coming on time every week. The best thing about using them is their knowledge around pool equipment. Under my old service person, my equipment was always breaking down. Stay away from them! I hired them to do the weekly cleaning of our pool and also get the salt system up and running after a full resurfacing and filling of our pool. After they cleaned the salt cell they broke the fitting and refused to repair it. After I made the complaint they started arguing about me paying for what I owe and I asked for an invoice so I could pay them minus the cost to repair what was damaged and they would not provide one. I can only assume they don't do invoices and after investigating they are not even a licensed company and it looks like everything is done under the table. I've check the California License Board and they are not listed. When hiring a pool company make sure you check their license first. Lessons learned! read more

This company's phone number matches a guy that was sent to me from American Home Shield Warranty under the name "Ponzo Construction" back in July this year--THREE MONTHS AGO. The guy took TWO WEEKS to come look at my equipment and said it wasn't covered and left. I've called the warranty over and over and their process is to call the company to get a report and they haven't submitted one. This company just took the money and dropped the ball completely. Whenever I have issues I receive a timely response and solution.
