Would not recommend this company; they are shady in their dealings. In our pool remodel which Kyle…read moreTilley refuses to complete. We paid for new equipment but according to the contractor working for him, Mr. Tilley used old/used equipment which was painted over to look new. He wired pool light incorrectly, gave us an old pump filter which leaks and he refuses to fix,and an old transformer that doesn't work. We paid additional money to have our pool stairs fixed; which he said he back ordered a skid pad and we have not seen yet. He took our old Polaris Pool Pump and our old pool cleaner without our permission and refuses to return them. The only good thing was the liner he did was nice; rest of service was horrible! Our pool remodel is not completed; he even gave us a signed and dated checklist of things he needed completed on 4/19/17 - which to this date has not been completed. He was quick at cashing our checks for payment but sure has not been quick at getting the job done. We wanted to support a small local business, but Mr. Tilley has made this experience unpleasant. I would run as fast as I can away from this company! I reviewed him on their FB page; which he either blocked me or took down, but I saved & have copies of his comment telling us we were 'Dumb asses'... - this company is a shady pool company; Consumer Beware!!

I was told the switch was bad and it would be an easy fix and would cost $25 for the switch, $30 for labor. I got home and my pump was running, the pool light was on (4pm) so I went to my switch panel and turned off the switch for the light. The pump went off as well.. I could smell something burning (like hot wires/electrical) I called 918 pool guys, and the response I got was "we just used the existing light switch so the pump and the light are together" i tried to turn the switch back on, no luck, the pump wouldn't come back on. I was then instructed by Kyle, via a female empolyee, that if I turned the pump off while the pump was hot, I just burned up my own motor. Kyle did offer to come right back to my home and hard start the pump, but that I wouldn't be able to turn it off. If it's hot and burning, why would I want it turned back on leave it running!?!? No worries though, Kyle stated he would be happy to replace my motor for $1k.. i hung up with him and immediately called another pool servicer, who immediately came out to ensure my switch box wasn't going to burn. The electrical wiring was poorly and unsafely completed and my pump was melted on the inside. The kicker was when I got the invoice for services provided, the invoice states new parts were added to my pump, they were not, and said NOTHING about my wiring it also was for $100+ not the quoted amount!! I had just purchased this home less than 4 weeks before this issue, I contacted the company that did the inspection, and they warned me to avoid this company as the pump was less than 2 yrs old, and I was just taken and set up!! I wouldn't trust any work to this company!!! And I still have the invoices to prove I was truly a customer.

Vista Pools built us an absolutely incredible custom pool, and I can't recommend Scott, JJ, and…read moretheir team highly enough. I'm a lifelong swimmer, so I wasn't looking for a typical backyard pool. I wanted a large custom gunite / plaster pool with a full 25-yard lap lane, a shallow end, and enough space for the family to enjoy it too. Several neighbors had used Vista for fiberglass pools and had great experiences, so I reached out. Scott understood what I was trying to build right away. He put together a quote and an initial design, and after some back-and-forth, we had a plan that looked fantastic. We also walked through it at WalkYourPlans, which helped us make a few final adjustments before construction started. Once they got moving, they REALLY got moving. Within about a week, we had an enormous hole in the yard, and from there the work was nearly nonstop. Anyone who's dealt with contractors knows how unusual that is. Crews showed up, work got done, and the project kept progressing. I honestly couldn't believe how quickly and smoothly everything moved. We also made a significant change to the shallow end during the project, and they were able to accommodate it without throwing the entire schedule off. The quality of the work was excellent across the board. A friend with metalworking experience looked over the rebar and was very impressed. The gunite and plaster turned out beautifully. The tile crew nailed the lap-lane markings exactly the way I wanted them. My only small regret is that we didn't choose darker marker tiles on the stairs, but that's a design choice on our end, not a problem with the workmanship. Vista also selected a full Hayward equipment setup for us, including filtration, lighting, heating and cooling, automation, and saltwater chlorination. Everything has worked together very well. We started with the normal new-plaster process and switched over to saltwater afterward. One thing I'd tell anyone considering a large gunite / plaster pool is to take the startup and maintenance seriously. The bigger the pool, the more water chemistry and cleaning you're dealing with. During the first month, daily brushing is essential. Honestly, twice a day is even better if you can manage it. Keeping dirt and debris off the new plaster takes effort, and it's definitely a workout. Vista will get you started and answer questions, but after the handoff, maintaining the water becomes your responsibility. Buy a good test kit and the proper cleaning tools before the pool is finished. If you enjoy learning how everything works, you'll probably have fun with it. If not, budget for professional pool service. For me, this pool has genuinely been life-changing. I knew I'd enjoy having one, but I didn't realize how much it would mean to have a lap lane available whenever I wanted it. It turns out this was basically a lifelong dream I hadn't fully recognized until it was finished. Scott and JJ delivered something truly special for us. The pool looks amazing, works beautifully, and has completely changed how we use our home. I'd hire Vista Pools again without hesitation.

Scott and JJ were fantastic during every phase -- initial contact, planning, pool selection, installation, and final walkthrough. With their guidance, we chose the Thursday Pools Aspen model (35×16) in Caribbean Sparkle. They clearly explained the pros and cons of each option, helped us understand what would work best for our yard, and were always willing to answer questions promptly and honestly. The installation process was flawless. The crew was professional, efficient, and respectful of our property. The pool was set perfectly, the equipment layout was clean, and there were no issues whatsoever during the build. Another major positive was their transparent payment schedule. Each payment aligned with a real project milestone, which added a level of trust and clarity that many contractors lack. Vista Pools delivered top tier service, craftsmanship, and communication. Scott and JJ truly went above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Amazing company, so we decided to go with them. I had no idea customer service existed, this company was amazing. My pool flooded with mud and rocks, 9:00 they were here, they worked for two days, came back until it was spotless. I was shocked, I cannot believe how beautiful the craftsmanship is also. They are way more OCD than I am. Thank you Blue haven pools, making dreams come true, and I company I know I can trust. I have built homes and countless items, most often you have to babysit. This company was spectacular, the knowledge base was amazing. The design from start to finish. Each rock was hand picked, hand sculpted. It's not a pool, it's a work of art. If you want a pool that is special and unique, Blue Haven Pool and Spas is the right company. If you don't want to worry about perfection, make the right choice, Blue Haven Pools and spa. You are handing over large amounts of money on faith. This company has been around since 1950. My kids got burned by the wrong company. Don't take the chance, hire Blue Haven Pools.

They came out once to address the issue by putting on wax and buffing it out which seemed to help until the sun shined on it and we could clearly see all the imperfections were still there. Dave then came out after we said the imperfections were still there and he admitted that the problem is the mold they used to make the pool. He said the molds need to be fixed and that they have just been too busy to fix them. We asked him if we had bought a pool from somewhere else if it would have the same imperfections and his response was probably not. He offered to sand the fiberglass but admitted it would not remove all the imperfections and would only shorten the life of the pool. We then asked for a percentage of money back due to the poor quality of the pool finish and he refused and accused us of trying to screw him even though I'm the one that paid 40k for a pool that looks like it has cracks in it when the sun light hits it. The pictures speak for themselves, they know they are putting out a flawed product and they don't care. Every pool they make using the flawed molds will look the same way. Spend your money somewhere else where they can act professional and stand behind the quality of their product because Dave and Lucas can't.
