I recently decided it was well beyond time to get a couple of per-matted art prints framed and thought it would be a nice option over Michaels. Because the prints looked standard size, I had bought a couple of frames at the craft store, but upon assembly, it turned out they were about half an inch too small, so off to the framers we go! They were so sweet about working with already matted work in store bought frames, and quoted my $20 to trim and frame my pictures, with pickup over the weekend. The pictures were beautifully and thoughtfully framed and I will return for actual custom work in the future, if I ever finish any of my works in process....

I've seen them handle a wide assortment of projects, from animation cels and original works of arts to the more standard framed diplomas and certificates. Framing is not cheap--individual pieces have run from the mid $100s to just over $300. I thought the prices were worth it given the obvious great care they put into each of the jobs, including spending a considerable amount of time with me one afternoon picking just the right colors for the triple matting on one of the pieces. Also, when I ran into problems years later on one of the frames--some inexplicable warping on the frame--they replaced it at no charge and without a bit of hassle. This is definitely my go-to place for framing.

I brought a piece to check her out and 2 hrs later with extreme care precision and love she destructed a rice paper tombstone rubbing ( done personally in 1975) without one rip or mistake ! And she's friendly and welcoming. Plus, the prices are quite reasonable for quality framing services. The hours are limited, so be sure to check them. They called 10 days later and said it was done. When I went to pick it up I noticed that the borders were uneven and all different. The sales person in framing said Oh, we'll fix that for you and we'll call you. SO, Dec. 2nd I stopped in and I wanted to see the manager. I found a so called manager who rooted around the frame shop and found my painting in a stack of unfinished work. Said they would call me. It's now December 9th. I tried to find a responsible person at corporate or on line to no avail. They have my money and my painting.
