By day, the conservatory is vibrant with paper printing and academic program. By night, there was Dress to Impress Fundraiser. I arrived here by night but also want to come back during the day to see the venue's full potential. SPACE: The space is a very simple warehouse-esque location. The space has multiple rooms, storage (presumably for paper), and equipment. During our visit it fully transformed into a wrap around runway and event space with gallery pockets. It was perfectly cozy and engaging. Few parking spots are available, the remainder is street parking in a residential area. EVENT: Dress to Impress event was one of the most creative fashion shows in the city. I've seen a lot of fashion shows. This was one of the better expressions of wearable art. Almost all garments were made out of paper, some from phone books! The show was refreshingly inclusive and celebrated all people. It was beautiful. The event also featured silent auction with event tickets, wearables, and art. It was a lovely occasion with a DJ, small bites, wand paper fashion. The event was good value with various tiers for different guests. It was certainly better priced than some other local fundraisers. SERVICE: I interacted with a few staff members prior to the event and at the event. All were so sweet and genuinely welcoming. The hospitality was just top notch. I felt so very welcome! I would highly recommend attending the next Dress to Impress event to any fashionistas. I can't speak for the classes just know that they offer paper making, printing, book binding, marbling, and more. I plan to keep my eyes on their schedule and attend a workshop next time.

I opted to make a flower, while my daughter planned to create a flower-shaped ring holder as a surprise gift for her sister, who loves rings. Those were the options given to us by the instructor. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the long wait--20 days--for our pieces to arrive, especially since we paid $25 for shipping. I had to email the owner to remind her to send them out. She was apologetic, and the pieces eventually arrived. However, to our dismay, my daughter's piece turned out to be just a flower, a beautiful flower, but not the ring holder she asked to make with the guidance of her instructor. The instructor was with her every step and guided her through the entire process, but seemed to forget the goal of making it into a ring holder which was an option given to us. I reached out to the owner to explain the situation, but there was no acknowledgment of the mistake or any indication of how it might be corrected. Overall, we were left disappointed.

The tour itself was 2 hours, the tour guides on my date August 31, 2025: last tour of the day 2pm, were informative, interactive, and made me feel like I was in Christmas heaven. The tour in my opinion is geared toward for kids 6 and up, and everyone else after that. All of our tour guides, hilighted there areas well. If you ever find you have to reschedule your tour, the staff are more then eager to help with that. Check in through the black doors, at gift shop ; be sure to browse and take home a piece of christmas or other souvenir. Everything about the tour epic, loved it all from Santa squeeze, to Grand Ball room to room with all the toys, restoration room, the slide from Christmas Story, Lord & Taylor clock at the start of the tour, all the Christmas windows. As in, the amiable team of volunteers and live-in caretaker who maintain this historic gem and its picturesque gardens. I first came to know of the Dunhan Tavern when my then-fiance and I were on the hunt for an intimate, low-key wedding locale, my father - the all-time Cleveland denizen - suggested it to me. After jumping through hoops with other, more conventional wedding venues, we visited the Dunham Tavern and the process of booking our wedding was as simple as placing a nominal deposit and picking any one of dozens of available days. That was it. If you love local history, beautiful gardens, and low-key party venues, give the Dunham Tavern a look. I think that you will be pleased and surprised!

Norbert Koehn's work should be internationally known! Seriously, he's that good. I first met him…read morewhen he did some pieces for our seminary chapel back in the 80s. This guy is the real deal in the line of the great masters of the Medieval and Renaissance era. No exaggeration. Notice how few 5-star ratings I give on anything here on Yelp. It might be a bit demeaning even to rate him on Yelp. He brings old-world craftsmanship and creativity to the 21st century. There are few artisans in the world...literally, who could compare with his imagination and execution. You'd have to go to Oberammergau to get something comparable. He works primarily in wood, which is much warmer than marble. He has an incredible capacity for gold-leaf and polychrome statues. While his work is mainly in the sacred arts, he does some outstanding pieces out of his studio, which is a unique, must-visit place on S. Green Road! Thank you, Norbert and family, for bringing such talent to Cleveland that can't be found even in large European (or American) cities!

By the time we walked past the store to have lunch, we had our hands full of items to buy. The lunch was lovely. To decide which tea to get, it was so hard since they had so many to choose from. Soups were delicious. The lunch was just right and delicious! And of course and cakes were yummy! They have such a wonderful collection items! Great place to buy gifts too.
