We love the mission that Jake's supports and the staff is extremely helpful. It is a little on the pricey side, but that is to be expected for the area and the money goes to a good cause. My son really loves the Snickers popcorn and they even have some ice cream from their ice cream shop there! Parking is easy and we highly recommend Jake's!

O could tell that this store is relatively new here on the shopping plaza, and I was curious. The second that I saw the popcorn in their displays kind of got my sweet tooth for popcorn. Really the last time that I had popcorn was earlier this year in Mexico City. There are vendors that sell bags of popcorn for like 10 pesos $.50 and I purchased these a couple of times. After I saw real popcorn again, I could not resost to buyinh some. The aweome employee offered me a couple of ssamples to try out. They give out small samples in these small tin cups and I tried Snores and Brownie flavored popcorn. I ended up getting the small movie flavored popcorn in a bag and it was all of the popcorn flavor that I had expected. I would recommend getting at least the medium sized popcorn of whatever flavor you have in mind.

If you arrive on a day when the line isn't 10-15 deep consider that an anomoly. This popcorn stand attracted customers in SW from virtually all of the government buildings and foot traffic in the vicinity. All of the popcorn is made-to-order, however there are pre-made bags of popcorn readily available for purchase at a discount price. The reason for the long lines is because the popcorn is made to order, the popcorn is sold in large, multiple-serving bags, and the stand is a one-man show. Mike is never not moving in the stand, as he always seems to be preparing fresh popcorn. His customer service is generally good and sometimes he will engage you in light conversation of you engage him. However there are days when he is relatively quiet. On those days I don't take it personal or interpret it as a sign of disrespect, rather, I'm reminded he is a one-man show filling non-stop orders of popcorn. I like that you can customize your popcorn flavor. Some of the flavors available to order are traditional cheddar, white cheddar, jalapeño, butter, parmesan garlic, chive, pepper pop, and sour cream and chives. Overall a great popcorn stand experience and I will continue to patronize.

He was located at the corner of D and 7th SW when I found him. I had only ever tried his regular popcorn. During this visit, I was able to try the white cheddar popcorn. LOL...I didn't like the white cheddar, but I notoriously don't like flavored popcorn. I was able to get a few bags from my mother-in-law which was awesome right before Christmas.

The young man working there was friendly and patient, allowing me to sample several options before making my decision. I tried flavors like pizza, steak, and cheeseburger, and surprisingly, they actually tasted like what they claimed to be. The flavor profiles were creative and authentic. I didn't stop at the savory options. I also sampled some sweet flavors and ended up taking home the banana pudding popcorn along with the cheeseburger flavor. Both were delicious and definitely different from your average movie theater popcorn. I ended up giving my cheeseburger popcorn away, and enjoyed my banana pudding flavor. I also love supporting Black-owned businesses, especially when they're bringing something unique to the area. Now for the downsides. The popcorn is a bit pricey, but to be fair, this is gourmet popcorn, not a $5 tin from the grocery store. My bigger concern was the appearance of the space. The decor felt sparse, and the back area looked a little unkempt, which took away from the overall experience. The location is also a bit unexpected, tucked into a residential apartment complex area. That said, there are other businesses nearby, and it feels like one of those up-and-coming spots that's still finding its footing. Overall, if you're looking for creative popcorn flavors and want to support a local Black-owned business, it's worth stopping by. Just don't expect a polished storefront experience--at least not yet.

The truffle, the salted caramel bourbon and the white cheddar made me so happy. But the dill pickle was soooo tasty too. I'll say any flavor of popcorn you're looking for, and many you've never thought of (like banana pudding) they have! These make AWESOME gifts for the popcorn lovers in your life and they have a loyalty/rewards program! Check them out!!!!

The chocolate cone didn't taste that fresh... but it was still good. My friends didn't really like their strictly strawberry, strawberry cheesecake, or coffee flavors that much though. They were out of the coffee crunch and chocolate hazelnut which sounds like better options. The worker did make a remark in front of all the customers saying they need to stop working here during the summer and seemed stressed. I mean what do you expect for an ice cream store in a busy area on a hot day... that comment should've definitely been saved for private coworker talk. My other friends rate this place 3 stars.

I've been to Savannah's a couple of times before, and they never disappoint. We were in National Harbor on vacation, and of course--with kids in tow--we had to stop in and let them explore all the gooey goodness. Funny enough, they made a beeline straight for the ice cream instead of the candy... probably because we had already been it It's Sugar earlier that day! They tried a mix of flavors--birthday cake, wildberry sorbet, cookies & cream, butter pecan--and I went with mint chocolate chip. Every single one was delicious! The ice cream was creamy, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. And let me just say--I appreciated the pricing. For the area, it was very reasonable. Not over-the-top expensive like Ben & Jerry's, so that was a win! Now for my part... I couldn't leave without trying a few treats. I grabbed a couple of truffles--raspberry milk chocolate, white chocolate, and a few others--and they were all rich, smooth, and delicious. But BABY... that giant turtle candy?! Whew! It was EVERYTHING. Crispy, fresh pecans, buttery caramel, and perfectly blended milk chocolate--hands down the perfect after-dinner treat. And don't sleep on the caramel popcorn with pecans--sweet, crunchy, and downright addictive! The service was excellent! The young ladies working the counters were patient, helpful, and friendly, which made the whole experience even better! Overall, if you're in the National Harbor area--or anywhere you spot a Savannah's Candy Kitchen--do yourself a favor and stop in. You are absolutely in for a treat!

I swapped the usual fish for ocean perch (bone) and received THREE tiny, toddler-sized fillet strips and that I paid an up-charge. Then came the shrimp situation -- 3 "spiced" steamed shrimp that had zero seasoning and tasted rubbery, plus 3 battered shrimp that showed up as rock-hard, nearly black coconut shrimp. Completely unacceptable. I'll give credit where it's due: the roll, fries, and crab cake were decent. That's the only reason this isn't a complete zero across the board. But the second order sealed it for me -- those stuffed shrimp should have NEVER left the kitchen. Hard, burnt, overcooked, inedible... The mac and cheese was watery and running all over the plate like soup. Only the fried okra was halfway decent. Cameron's seriously needs new cooks and better management. This was a waste of money, and I won't be returning.
