Such a fun experience! I enjoyed having all of the materials provided for painting. My partner and I really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to going again. The owner was very communicative and let us know when our products would be available for pickup and they looked even better after :)

So there I was with my 10 year old daughter, 14 year old son and 42 year old better half driving around looking for something to do. I started to look for activities on the Groupon app and this place came up. (SHE IS CURRENTLY RUNNING A GREAT DEAL ON GROUPON BUT MAKE SURE YOU BUY IT AHEAD OF TIME. THERE IS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME, I BELIEVE 24 or 48 HOURS, BEFORE THE DEAL CAN BE USED) We have NO/NONE/ZERO experience or even remotely knew what we were doing or what to expect as we walked in awkwardly and COMPLETELY out of place, into the studio. I scanned the faces and quickly looked down at what each person was working on. I was intimated by them. The artistic ease that poured out of them... their very calm demeanor, and confidence was in stark contrast to our "lost and don't know what to do or where to start" vibe. Nevertheless, I decided not to let their masterpieces or the fact that they were children stop me. I was there to create!... a mess more likely than a masterpiece but decidedly to at least try! I explained we had never done this and were newbies. Sandra immediately explained the options, process and showed us where to find everything we could possibly need for any of the projects we chose. My daughter decided to go straight from beginner to advance right away and wanted to print out clip art to transfer on to her project. There's a variety of projects you can choose from. You can work with canvas, pottery, stepping stones to name a few. There are events, classes and you can even have parties there. When we went back to pick up our finished pieces she also informed us of the VIP membership for $50 which we decided collectively and unanimously as a family to do. Pottery painting??...who knew!!!! It's so much fun and relaxing and fun!!! We ALL loved it, my full grown self proclaimed "manly" man, my teenage high schooler son (who doesn't like much) and my preteen (going on 50) always glued to her phone daughter can't wait to go again. If you read my reviews you might notice that customer service is as important if not MORE important than the service, experience or product I choose. I constantly read reviews on Yelp before I try new places. Reading what people are saying about their experiences as well as share my own. Making it easier to decided where my family and I choose to spend our money and time. The CUSTOMER SERVICE, HELP AND PATIENCE MY FAMILY AND I RECEIVED FROM SANDRA WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND! I can not recommend coming here enough! **RESERVATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED BUT STRONGLY SUGGESTED.

We had a Team Building event here and it was so much fun! Our pieces turned out nicely! Pretty easy to sign up and pay. Lots of pieces to choose from! I like how they gave suggestions and helped so that we could put our visions to life!

It was a rainy day, so I decided to take my grandkids here to create Christmas gifts for their parents. There were so many cute projects, my grandkids had a hard time choosing. They had so much fun. We will definitely be back to make more memories.

No limits on how many glazes you can get at once. Colors deepen with firing, the example tiles help give a better idea of results

Went here with a friend who had never painted ceramics before. I have gone to various places like this for years, so I knew more what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised to see there were some glazes with speckles! How fun! It's like funfetti! I used those for the inside of the mug I painted, and it turned out so nice :) next time I will try the squeeze bottles for more precision.

My son and I painted pottery here for Mother's Day and we had a great time. I did a fish tile and he did a cute penguin bank. Staff is really helpful and explained how to mix colors or create different effects. We will be back.

I love the Pottery place and more!!! it is a happy place and the owner is soooo helpful to give you a great experience. Had a great time. Took four kids to paint. They had a blast and even said it felt like home there. Great memories are made here and we got to listen to Christmas music. Such a happy fun time.

Easily one of the best places for arts and crafts. Im from way out of town but I make sure to visit this place (and tell friends) whenever I'm in the area. I can't count how many projects I've made here and how many more there are left to create! The super hero pottery is my favorite and if they don't have a hero I want, I just make my own. There's plenty of options for all shapes and sizes and I really want to try their paint nights! I hear there's free pizza and I can't say no to free pizza... You'd have to be a monster to do so. Finally, the staff here kills the game. They're very helpful and personable and you can tell the place is ran by a close family because they make you feel like family when you walk in to the time you walk out. I personally find myself talking with the staff longer than expected but they're all really nice to me so it's easy to lose track of time. This place truly is more than you expect but don't take my word for it. Bring yo kids bring yo wife and bring yo husband because there's painting and crafts to do! The pic below is a plate I made after a little swimming accident in Brazil, this place was a good spot to release that stress.

Such a cute little place! I am so glad I found it. I went there on my lunch to ask about what it was and the girl who was working at the time was super nice and gave me a lot of information and a little pamphlet to take home. We were around the area on another occasion and I took my son in there to take a look around and he loved it, we actually ended up painting a piggy bank right there and then. Definitely coming back with more family soon!

SANDRA was a huge help! She happily she showed me all the tools I needed to make mine look so much better than it ever could have otherwise!

SANDRA and Mike are incredible !! I used to go to another place pottery place with my family, but since I found these guys I won't go anywhere else! This weekend for my birthday I did the "canvas creations" . It was dinner and a paint lesson for 25.00!! That's less than a "paint night" and it even came with the dinner and the dessert. Plus SANDRA gave each of us such personal attention on our paintings and she really cared how they turned out. Next I took my grand daughter and we did some pottery pieces, she finished first and they had all kinds of toys to keep her busy while I got to finish my piece .. I am definitely now a customer for life!!

She chose the clay art activity with a "Sea Friends" theme because it sounded creative and exciting for the kids, but the actual experience did not meet expectations at all. There were only three very simple animal designs offered, which was far too limited for a two-hour birthday party and not engaging enough to keep the children interested. The employees assisting with the activity did not appear to be properly trained to host or manage a children's party. Their instructions were unclear, they spoke very softly, and there was little enthusiasm or interaction with the kids. The atmosphere felt dull and unorganized instead of fun and energetic like a birthday celebration should be. Many of the children lost interest quickly because there was no excitement, guidance, or effort to keep them engaged. What was most disappointing was that, despite booking a two-hour party, the actual clay activity lasted only around 40 minutes. After that, there was very little for the kids to do, leaving them bored and restless for most of the remaining time. As a parent spending money to create a memorable milestone birthday for my daughter, I expected a much better-planned and professionally hosted experience. I chose this place hoping it would create happy memories for my daughter and her friends, but instead it turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience for both the kids and the parents attending the party.

I came here last Saturday afternoon when they opened. Color Me Mine has definitely changed since…read morethe pandemic and under the new ownership at this location it has been a disappointment. It used to feel much more colorful, with ceramic pieces displayed throughout the entire store to choose from. Now, most of the ceramics are limited to one wall, and the overall atmosphere feels more modern rather than having the warm, family-oriented environment I remember from when I worked there years ago for many years. And no more fun discount days. The process has changed as well. Staff now ask what paint colors you would like and bring them to your table instead of the previous self-serve setup. Once you enter, they ask how many people are in your group, tell you what table to sit at, and give you a plate of colors along with instructions on the number of coats. They don't often check up if you need clean water either. Things that stayed the same is after you paint you leave the pieces on the table and they clean everything for you. Once you pay they give you your receipt and they write down when your piece will be ready. And they can only hold it in store for two weeks once's ready. Something new that's nice is they text you now. Because some don't have the best handwriting. I could not ready the date on my receipt card when it will be ready. Ceramic pieces range from $20 and up, plus there is a $10 studio fee. Definitely pricy the cheapest one I saw was $24. No outside food is allowed, and there is a 50% charge for broken pieces. Guests are also asked to wash their hands before handling the ceramics, and prices are labeled underneath each piece. They also no longer have paint pens or options to have employees charge extra to get writing done one the pieces. I wish the staff wore name tags or at least introduced themselves. My friends and I often felt like we had to raise our hands to get assistance since paint is no longer self-serve. They wait too long for three people working there and was not even busy. I asked one employee for his name and we thought we heard Jay, although the receipt said Jad. He was probably the most helpful staff member we interacted with. Another employee seemed half asleep, hard to get his attention for help and didn't appear to enjoy his job, and he forgot a few items I had requested. One of my friends was visiting from out of town and had never been to Color Me Mine before. I think, having worked here for many years before the pandemic, I had certain expectations based on the level of customer service we used to provide during that time. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, and I don't plan on bringing my son either. The new policy requiring every person to pay the studio fee--even if they're just there to watch and not paint--is disappointing. They have plenty of tables and seats on one table, and even if I were painting by myself, I wouldn't want to be expected to share a table with strangers. That policy alone is enough to keep us from coming back. I recommend trying a different place in Fresno.

The store looked well organized for the most part and they did not seem to be understaffed in any way. There were many employees around, but not one of them greeted us or even looked at us as we passed them. I even went into the picture frame area because I had a photo print that I was thinking about having matted and framed, but the gentleman behind the counter was laser focused on his computer screen, he did not even bother to look up. I looked around at the merchandise in this area for a bit longer and then proceeded to browse other areas, where we also encountered more employees who were too busy (not helping others) to look in our direction or acknowledge us. The planner that I came for was no where to be found even though the online information told me that it was in stock at this location(it even told us which aisle). I did not bother to approach any of the employees to ask for anything because they all seemed pretty unapproachable, and the opposite of friendly or ready to assist. I found a different planner that I felt would suffice. My daughter found a bunch of yarn skeins that she liked for a crochet project, and then we made our way to check out. The woman who was checking us out sarcastically and abruptly stated "Ya got a planner, now your life's gonna be perfectly organized" as she scanned it and placed it in a bag. She was bitter about something, and that was obvious, but why would she bring that to work? I awkwardly attempted to laugh, my daughter pinched me, and then I just thanked her and we left. We should have spent at least double what we spent, but nobody wanted to help us spend our money. It's too bad. I don't know why, but it seems that this Michaels has a dark cloud over it or something, because the folks who work here absolutely hate their jobs and it really shows.
