I love these little DIY ceramic painting places. I've been to this one a couple times over the years. They always seem to keep a pretty good selection of pieces to choose from. My mom and I wanted to get in the holiday spirit, so we came to paint Christmas trees and ornaments, which they had a variety of. The ornaments specifically had an excellent 3 for $20 or 2 for $20 deal (depending on the size). We went on Tuesday which had the special of no studio fee. Be sure to check their website to see what special is going on the day of the week you plan to visit, since this fun hobby can really add up quick if you pick a big piece to paint! There are a good amount of supplies to utilize while you work, like sponges and stencils, and a computer you can use to print and trace designs on your piece. An okay selection of colors (I ended up mixing a few to get certain shades I wanted, like a darker green). Good condition brushes in many shapes/sizes so you can get as detailed as you wish. The tables are set up and ready the moment you walk in with water bowls. Be aware, you are requested to wear your facemask at all times while here still. Especially if there are lots of other clientele inside. Bathroom is in the back and is clean and well-stocked. We were there for over five hours meticulously working on our selections. The owner warmed up to us slowly. She seemed pretty hands off but was open to questions we had when we had them. She was nice and let us eat our Taco Bell inside the store. It was a relaxed Tuesday morning; not sure but it might get pretty crowded on weekends with kids (there's a birthday zone toward the back), so pick your time wisely. We made an advance reservation but walk-ins are accepted too. We were told our work would be ready in 7-10 business days and we will receive a phone call at that time for pick-up. So there I was with my 10 year old daughter, 14 year old son and 42 year old better half driving around looking for something to do. I started to look for activities on the Groupon app and this place came up. (SHE IS CURRENTLY RUNNING A GREAT DEAL ON GROUPON BUT MAKE SURE YOU BUY IT AHEAD OF TIME. THERE IS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME, I BELIEVE 24 or 48 HOURS, BEFORE THE DEAL CAN BE USED) We have NO/NONE/ZERO experience or even remotely knew what we were doing or what to expect as we walked in awkwardly and COMPLETELY out of place, into the studio. I scanned the faces and quickly looked down at what each person was working on. I was intimated by them. The artistic ease that poured out of them... their very calm demeanor, and confidence was in stark contrast to our "lost and don't know what to do or where to start" vibe. Nevertheless, I decided not to let their masterpieces or the fact that they were children stop me. I was there to create!... a mess more likely than a masterpiece but decidedly to at least try! I explained we had never done this and were newbies. Sandra immediately explained the options, process and showed us where to find everything we could possibly need for any of the projects we chose. My daughter decided to go straight from beginner to advance right away and wanted to print out clip art to transfer on to her project. There's a variety of projects you can choose from. You can work with canvas, pottery, stepping stones to name a few. There are events, classes and you can even have parties there. When we went back to pick up our finished pieces she also informed us of the VIP membership for $50 which we decided collectively and unanimously as a family to do. Pottery painting??...who knew!!!! It's so much fun and relaxing and fun!!! We ALL loved it, my full grown self proclaimed "manly" man, my teenage high schooler son (who doesn't like much) and my preteen (going on 50) always glued to her phone daughter can't wait to go again. If you read my reviews you might notice that customer service is as important if not MORE important than the service, experience or product I choose. I constantly read reviews on Yelp before I try new places. Reading what people are saying about their experiences as well as share my own. Went for a little girls date with my two daughters. Pros are there are toys for toddler aged kids to play with if they get bored with the painting, and the owner helped my daughter with few tips on painting. Cons were mostly the selection of pottery. Only one small sized mug. Salad sized plates and beyond that it was mostly Christmas or religious items which was surprising as we're in march. I wish there were other plates or bowls or larger mugs. My kids just ended up painting cats. It was fun but without the Groupon I doubt we'd go back unless there were more options to paint. read more

Went here with a friend who had never painted ceramics before. I have gone to various places like this for years, so I knew more what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised to see there were some glazes with speckles! How fun! It's like funfetti! I used those for the inside of the mug I painted, and it turned out so nice :) next time I will try the squeeze bottles for more precision. read more

Easily one of the best places for arts and crafts. Im from way out of town but I make sure to visit this place (and tell friends) whenever I'm in the area. I can't count how many projects I've made here and how many more there are left to create! The super hero pottery is my favorite and if they don't have a hero I want, I just make my own. There's plenty of options for all shapes and sizes and I really want to try their paint nights! I hear there's free pizza and I can't say no to free pizza... You'd have to be a monster to do so. Finally, the staff here kills the game. They're very helpful and personable and you can tell the place is ran by a close family because they make you feel like family when you walk in to the time you walk out. I personally find myself talking with the staff longer than expected but they're all really nice to me so it's easy to lose track of time. I took my girls here for a fun time painting gifts for Christmas. They turned out so cute. My 4 year old loved the painting and even wanted to keep his snowman and not give it as a present. We had a good time here and the cost was reasonable. We had lots of help and never were left wondering what to do next. The staff was very helpful with changing out the water and making sure everyone had their name on their projects. I have been to this place twice and both times were great experiences. This review is off of my last visit. We booked a party for my Girl Scout troop. They earned their Bronze Award and wanted to celebrate here and Sandra made them feel important. We did the party package, so the girls got to pick out their own pottery and paint. You Even get a special platter and picture! She let them pick their own colors and didn't rush them at all. She made all of us feel at home and relaxed.
