It's frustrating to walk in and see employees like Carly on their phones instead of assisting customers. The contrast in work ethic is very noticeable. I'd love to visit more often, but the inconsistent service makes it hit-or-miss.

How have I not reviewed this place?…read more I want to say my first visit here was in 2016. At the time I lived in Columbus and was in the Ironton/Portsmouth area to see family and had randomly found this spot when they were located downtown. Over the years I had visited and found some awesome horror items, comics, and vintage toys. It's been a few years since I've been in as I now live 4.5 hours away compared to 2.5, but was in the area on Wednesday. I had stopped in and browsed but finally tried the ice cream. I had a Wookies n Cream shake and my wife had a BB Cake cone. The punny names work well with the shop and the flavors were good. The only strike was the straw for the shake was an Icee straw vs a regular one. Staff was friendly and prices were very fair from toys & comics. Definitely a place I try to visit when I'm in the area.

This is one of the best shops on Planet Earth…read more Hyperbole? Eh, maybe. But maybe not. It's awesome. (Or to be in the spirit of the shop, I should say it's ****ing awesome.) I first wandered in years ago, motivated by a sign on the door warning of adult language. I wasn't disappointed. I got to meet Noelle and her husband and see her spectacular ceramic work and t-shirt designs as well as a fabulous curation of pro-human merchandise from small businesses and indie brands. I spent a lot of money and a lot of time chatting and didn't regret any of it. I stop in every time I'm in Huntington now and buy online when I'm not because they're just that good. My husband lives in his "Resist Much, Obey Little" t-shirt, and my handmade trinket dish of a squirrel saying "Eat My ***" sparks joy every time I walk by it. If I need a gift for a similarly-minded friend or relative, I start here. And I usually end here. And they go the extra mile when I order gifts to be sent directly to friends. They even made one cry, but in a good way. It's a very good shop. They're very good people. Give them money and get cool stuff in return. And maybe you'll get to meet a cool dog.

I dropped a few pay checks here on merch, like tshirts, jewelry, signs, magnets, stickers, Christmas ornaments, postcards, etc... They got it all! Highly worth your time and a quick tripod , while you're at the Gorge There's also an icecream / cafe thing connected, and you don't want to miss that! Unless you can't have dairy, then maybe you do! Anyways, I can't rave about this place enough. Buyer beware: there's too many good options. If you fall victim to being indecisive, on a budget, impulsive, or anything in between, I highly encourage you to go with a pal, find a bear, consult a mountain lion, have a park ranger escort your shopping - just DO NOT go in here alone. I was living for their selection of shirts. My whole personality and wardrobe is a new style trend I'm coining "New River" fashion.
