The Pour House is a cool outdoor venue to just chill with your favorite people and enjoy some good music. Plenty of seating options from stools to Adirondack chairs, as well as fire pits for those chilly nights. They don't actually serve food, but there is a food truck outside the entrance. I don't know if it changes, but this truck offered tacos and quesadillas that night. We didn't have any. Drinks are just OK. Beer selection is poor if you're a picky beer drinker. The margaritas are from a machine and a little on the weak side. Since I was the DD, I ordered a soda and it was awful. A lot of bars go cheap and serve off-brand sodas because people will mix them with alcohol and not notice that they aren't the "real deal." I couldn't drink it. It was so bad, I shuddered after every sip - and then I gave up. I ordered a water, and that was just as terrible! I don't know if it's the dispenser gun that carries over the flavors of everything else that comes out of it, or the ice is funky, or what, but I couldn't drink that either. I wish they'd have bottled water or something. Canned soda? Something that will make it enjoyable for everyone, not just the alcohol consumers? Being an occasional DD, there has to be something for me to enjoy, too, since I'm the one who decides how long we'll stay and when we'll leave if it's not good. Service was walk-up to the bar. Denied entry tonight because of a neck tattoo. Something I've never experienced before. As an Army Special Operations veteran and what most would consider a good, everyday person, it was shocking and disappointing. This used to be one of our favorite local spots, which makes it even harder to understand what changed. A tattoo does not define someone's character, values, or behavior. Using it as a reason to turn people away feels like a loophole for discrimination, and it sends the wrong message to the community. What makes this even more confusing is that earlier today, I bowled here with my kids at the venue owned by the same people with no issue. The inconsistency makes the policy feel arbitrary and unfair. Whatever the intent, this is not the right way to build an inclusive environment. Please reconsider...your customers deserve better. read more

This place deserves a 5 Star for its ambience. This bar has lots of areas to play games or just sit and chill. The rooftop is the bomb. Beautiful view, lots of seating and TV's. They also sell Tacos at the entrance. Parking may not be enough, but there are spaces on the Main Street. They have fireplaces and heaters throughout the different spaces and have a stage. The food truck is AWFUL. My friend got kicked out for being rude to food truck when he was NOT. I went personally went to the manager of the establishment and asked for the footage which he responded with "we don't need footage" then proceeded to tell me all of sudden my SOBER friend "threw chips at the food truck driver then cussed him out." My friend and I went to the food truck and asked what had happened and he had told us "he reached in to grab soup cream". Which is what my friend originally stated that he was doing. I've read some of the reviews complaining about how staff treats customers and found that staff went out of their way to accommodate customers. I was there with a group for Fat Tuesday, I was warmly greeted by staff and my order of drinks were handled by bartenders quickly and in a friendly manner even though there was a crush of rowdy people in various states of inebriation. I loved coming to this place, I really did...until last weekend when they wouldn't serve my boyfriend a drink because he has a British ID. I don't know if the management is anti-Texan or what, but they need to educate themselves and learn what non-Texan IDs look like because they lost my business forever. It seems that several other reviewers below agree. So if you have a Texas license, you'll likely have a good time, but if you don't...just go to the Phoenix Saloon. Great place to enjoy live entertainment and good food. Pizza was good and cheese tots but the spot. Nice open spaces.

Make sure you close your tab because if you're like me and bought one $6 drink and then went in to the other bar next-door and forgot to close your tab at the Pourhaus they will put whatever they want on there for a tip instead of the 20% that they say they'll put on there. My one drink that was six dollars cost me $21 because they decided to put a $15 tip on there for themselves. Also the bartenders are not friendly AT ALL. We've been in this place a few times and have never once been greeted by the bartenders like they wanted us to be in there. I guess putting ridiculous tips on people who forget to close the bar tabs is there only way to get tips because they aren't getting them from being nice to people. read more

We stopped by The Pour Haus for a drink after dinner and it was a pretty cool spot. As we walked through the parking lot, we saw a guy get out of an Uber who was so drunk he almost ate it. That was a good start. They also had a food truck out in the parking lot. Drunk dude could of used some of that. As we walked in, you realize how big The Pour Haus is. A lot of the bar is outdoors so it's a great spot when the weather's nice. There's a long central bar with some regular seating and some swings. Trying out the swings would've been cool but they were taken while we were there. There's also a stage where they had a band playing. Seems like they often have live music. There are several other bars throughout the property that are indoors with open air. Cool spot to grab a drink! read more

This place is absolute trash and they throw false accusations toward anyone they find the ability to do it to. I was kicked off the property by the owner without being told why. I was swarmed by four security guards and walked off of the premises within 15 minutes of being there. I decided to go back for a full understanding of the situation. I was told that I was suspected of drugging other people's drinks. The accusation came after I was caught on camera sitting at a table and squeezing a lime into my drink. After a heated argument, I decided to call the cops to clear the confusion. The cops confirmed that nobody was drugged and that the establishment was allowed to ask any customer to leave that they wanted to. I already understood that this was Texas law, but the fact that I was targeted so quickly makes me wonder if people are being drugged commonly. Please stay away from this crooked establishment. I only did one star because I can't do zero. read more

We arrived at about 7:30 and the place had a decent number of people, but we were still able to get a table. It is a casual place and has games such as Jenga and Cornhole. The outdoor bar has swings! Overall, this is a great place to hang out with your friends, drink beer, and listen to music. Get there early if you would like a table, it filled up fast! We will be back. read more

We heard good things from a friend about this place so we decided to have our wedding after party here. My husband and I were first to arrive - both of us still in our wedding attire. We were so coldly greeted by the bouncer, who instead of congratulating us on our recent nuptials, asked if we had been drinking that night. Both of us felt appalled by the interrogation as the answer to the question was obvious and neither of us were intoxicated as we were entertaining guests all night. He then advised us to not order an alcohol and was the opposite of eager to let us in. Upon entering the bar, the hilarity of the situation increased as most of the patrons were either extremely drunk or blackout drunk. Apparently you are allowed to get to that state inside of the bar with no issue! We quickly decided to leave and let all of our guests know not to even get close to this establishment. In summary, we were looking for a nice relaxing easy going evening and these people were less than satisfactory at producing it. We hope this review is seen by future potential wedding groups and they know to avoid this place and give their money to a business that doesn't treat their customers like dog crap. read more

My neighborhood bar. I have enjoyed coming to Pour Haus from day one. The staff and owners have always made feel welcomed. It's primarily outdoor seating and is perfect in the fall and winter months sitting by the fire pits. They always have live music. In the summer they have fans and misters going to keep you cool. It's in a perfect downtown New Braunfels location, you are in walking distance of restaurants and more entertainment facilities. If you want the feel of a local hangout this is your spot. It can get busy on weekends and during spring break. Understand this is a tourist destination town and thus during the summer months there will be more people visiting downtown. read more

I had the chance to check out the Pour Hous yesterday. Its a bar located downtown New Braunfels, walking distance from the new restaurants in the area. The seating is mainly outside. However the seating is limited when it gets packed. The bar staff was very friendly. There's a big board in the wall that tells you the specials for the day. We tried the Oktoberfest beer and I had the Enchanted Rock Peach Vodka. Both drinks were pretty good. The atmosphere is relaxed. They have a food truck outside but it was closed. Its a great place to watch the games and have a good time with friends. its worth checking out while in NB. read more
