I am SO glad I popped in after brunching at The Peppermill for some retail self care therapy because OMG. There's something here for everyone. The CBD products had me flocking to the back wall to try a few items as I was looking for a balm for a sore shoulder. Love the zodiac Zodica collection and I def got me some Cancer items (lotion and perfume) as well as gifts for my goddaughter. Love the retro wall too. I originally heard about The Pretty Hot Mess way over a year ago when they were located on Warren Street in Glens Falls, NY. Recently, PHM relocated to a much larger space and has increased inventory tremendously. This is a true small business that has become successful within a couple of years through hard work, tenacity and solid business acumen. I have purchased several items from PHM for myself and as gifts for family. I tend to lean towards the essential oil blends and some of the CBD products - but there are tons of other items to choose from including clothing, books, yummy candies/snacks, protein/sports powders...even cool stuff for pets. My personal favorite essential oil blend is called "Calm Your Ass Down" (yes...I love the names of these products as well). This blend smells awesome and I use it with my pre-bedtime routine (it's a small roll-on that I dab behind my ears and on my wrists). I've also used it on especially stressful work days. This particular blend does not contain any CBD, but many other options do. I'm a big fan of CBD products in general - as long as they're high quality and the source is known. The owner of PHM is adamant about quality and purity in her products (as many of these she brews herself). Other CBD products are also available from PHM - I really like Luce Farms (a Vermont based company) and she carries several of Luce's items. Two of the other essential oil blends that Angel (that's the owner's name) sells/makes (that I've used) are: "Not Today" and "Joint Juice". Everything works as advertised and really helps with my pain relief/preventative care. I will mention - again - that PHM is truly a "boutique" that's jam packed all kinds of really interesting items. Almost everything is available for purchase via website or app (yes...there's an app for that!). So, if you're like me and living like a hermit, order stuff and ship it to your home. One more thing - Angel and PHM get involved with local community matters and are always giving back in different ways. It's been fun and exciting to watch the growth of this local small business. Save your money and don't pay for the 2 day express shipping. I place my order and these clowns take almost two days to process my order. I call and email and someone responds and says they have 24 for 48 hours to respond to sales. NONE of which is in the terms and conditions. I ask for a refund since the item will not be here until 5 days after I ordered it. This place is a joke. Owner I assume is the person I am talking to. Put down the THC and get your stuff together! What a joke! Update 1: I was told that my filling out reviews is unacceptable and will be getting a cease and desist. Way to try and stifle people all because you don't have your stuff together. Have your attorney contact me. You have my information. Be happy to discuss this with him! Once I get the cease and desist I will post it on here. Also they blast you on Facebook then realize it and don't apologize but take the comments down. Easy to get a 4.9/5 when your control the story and only offer or allow for one side of it. Update 2: funny how once you get it in the mail it gets here the same day. Here is the shipping proof. Argue with that! You were to busy and didn't get it in the mail and blamed it on me and logistics (aka lazy and disorganized). You refunded my money though didn't you? Thought you might. During the second NYS mask mandate I stopped in to purchase CBD oil for an immunocompromised friend. I noticed several customers and even the cashiers and sales people were not masked. When I inquired about the mandate, I was told by the cashier, "some of our customers can't wear masks." I said to the cashier, "isn't that reason enough that you should wear one?" The cashier only shrugged her shoulders. By the way, the website stated they were complying with the mask mandate. Needless to say, this was not a safe place to shop at the time. I certainly hope the present charges pending against the owner are not true, and if they are, you reap what you sow. read more

I would NOT recommend this place to any living human being. I went in for the first time and spent over $227 in the store and the best day the owner accused my daughter and I of stealing and it is ridiculous. So I would save yourself the trip and embarrassment. That's pretty sad that a small business owner would do such a thing to someone that has never in their lives would even think of stealing, especially after all I spent. I hope she gets the help she needs, because there has to be something wrong. It's crazy. read more
