We had a variety of food from ribs to Mozambique and to say all of it was subpar is an understatement. Somebody told me this place was great... I guess I'll have to really consider any other recommendations they give me. This place was not good. The ribs are terrible. They were almost boiled... Chewy and not like a real barbecue place... Just edited my review after I ate the food: was eating and it was good (minus only having one half of the sandwich have chicken), but as I was eating I was like wow I wish I had a pickle and remembered it came with pickles but they didn't put them in because my order was Togo. So I'm sad about that. BUT The bartenders were great but the service was slow. Ordered takeout and it took almost an hour for a chicken caprese sandwich and sweet potato fries. The drinks were great! But then I get home and the sweet potato fries were delicious but this the chicken caprese sandwich. I just feel like for the price, you should get a little more here. read more

My wife ordered 5 pizzas take out yesterday (October 13) and they were overcooked, extremely dry, and had almost nothing for toppings! I have eaten pizza in house and they were good. OK, I know that things have been getting more expensive in this country , but this is getting ridiculous I came here at the profile tavern for a salad, and I got the Caesar salad with steak tips in it. The salad was $11 and the steak tips $15! So I thought that for $26 dollars I was getting a good amount of meat, but no! Four measly little pieces (picture included). Four little bites of meat for $15 !!!! A steak tip salad, and a beer for $36 without the tip I have nothing against the waiter so I have to tip her That means that I'm gonna pay $43 for lettuce and four bites of meat with a beer . First lunch at the Profile Tavern, and it was surprisingly great. We entered at about noon... no other diners! What's up? So naturally, good fast service. Our server Chloe was friendly, fast, efficient. I started with a cup of chowder-- it was light, tasty, plenty potatoes. G ordered fried Brussels sprouts, and it was HUGE for an appetizer, and yummy, two of us couldn't finish them. Then our meals arrived: three generously filled fish tacos. Excellent! I ordered tater tots, and I swear to god there was a pound of them with my tacos. G got sweet potato fries with her tacos, again a large serving. The service has been great the few times we've gone. The food is very hit or miss. I usually get a salad with steak tips. They're good, but 4 tips? Last time we had a rib eye. 42 dollars, it was horrible. Tough, gristley, dry, even though it was medium rare. It was hard to even cut. They took 1/2 off. We always enjoy our dinners at Profile. The servers are fabulous - attentive & personable.

Did take out for dinner. It's our 1st time getting food from there since it changed from The Nephew's to The Profile Tavern. It was good, would get food from there again. Only complaint is that I got the Tavern Mac & Cheese with steak tips added ... the mac & cheese was not bad, could've used a little more flavor, was a little bland and adding the steak tips to it was an additional $11.99 on top of the $13.99 for the dish ($25.98 total) ... and I only got 4 pieces of meat. The mac & cheese portion size was decent, it was just lacking flavor and almost $12 for 4 pieces of meat doesn't really seem right. But the steak tips were definitely tender and had good flavor. But overall everyone liked their food. Hubby got the fish tacos with asparagus, and mother got a fish sandwich with sweet potato fries ... both were happy with their meals. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our most recent visit was Wednesday around 5:00 we did not have a reservation and were sat at a tiny table for 2 that I am sure they use to combine for larger parties (common restaurant practice) I hate these tables because inevitably they sit another couple next to us and it's like your having dinner with them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a pizza, my wife had a salad and some chicken tenders. The pizza was fine but the tenders were way over cooked and dry as garden mulch. My wife asked for some onions in her salad and an extra ranch dressing and she was up charged for both! All this being said, I plan on giving them one more shot. We visited last Sunday. The place was packed, we got the last table. Tons of take out orders were seen bagged up. Always a good sign when things are busy. Parking lot was big. Plenty of room for all. We both ordered diet sodas w/lime. No funny after-taste in beverage or ice. Bathrooms and restaurant clean, cozy and warm. Large screen TVs at the bar. Plenty of folks were eating/drinking at said bar. For appetizers, we got fried calamari with red sauce and banana peppers. Shaved cheese on top. DELISH! Perfectly cooked, no chewy bits. Next came out warm (Italian stick) bread and butter. Nice touch. I ordered Osso Bucco but they were out. The next two choices in my mind was salmon or prime rib. I went with the prime rib. I like mine rare and received a slab of perfectly cooked rare, tender, prime rib along with baked potato and fresh green beans. The au jus was served in a separate cup, love that, no soggy baked potato. Potato was big and baked the way steak houses do them w/oil and salt out the outside, resulting in crisp skin with tender potato crying out for the provided sour cream and butter inside. Richard got steak frites. Steak was very large, a nice (bernaise?) sauce on top. Cooked exactly as he requested (medium rare). Very tender. We both brought half our entrees home. Food was excellent! Heated up in the air frier, our leftovers were almost as good as the night before. We saw much tempting looking food go by. Esp the pizzas! They serve a wide variety of sandwiches, pizzas, and entrees. Most food artfully arranged. They played great music on their raidio/speaker system. we noted some big meat smokers out in the lot, BBQ must be coming soon. Our waitress was awesome, too. Was not too happy that l asked to substitute a Garden Salad for potatoes which were both $3.00 on the side menu because I can't have that many carbs as I'm a diabetic and the waitress said it was OK but took potatoes off my plate, still charged me $24.00 for the meal which was the regular price plus charged me an extra $3.00 for the side salad. If that was the case, she should have told me. I just deducted $3.00 from her tip, she would have gotten $10.00 on a $48.00 bill but I only left a $7.00 Tip. Decided to give this place another shot after a series of lackluster meals. I had the brisket platter and the sticky ribs as an appetizer. The brisket was way too fatty to eat (and normally I like fatter cuts of meat such as ribeye steaks.) The ribs were dry and while the flavor wanted to be there, the texture was not. My wife had the Cajun rice bowl with chicken and I think her bowl tasted more Mexican than something you would have in New Orleans. (Seriously guacamole? In a cajun rice dish? Are they aware what "cajun" means?) Finally, my mom had what was probably the smallest piece of baked scrod they could find... for $25. The prices would make sense overall if we had good food to eat. I tried giving this place multiple chances to get its footing but it looks like they likely won't be, so we will no longer be eating here unfortunately. read more

My friends and I enjoy night outs a few times a month and we finally decided to change it up and try somewhere new. This place has great food and such friendly staff from the minute you walk in to the moment you leave. All of the apps are fantastic but our absolute favorite is the fried pickles basket. If you're looking for a fun place to go on a Monday Night then the Profile is the place to be. They offer Musical Bingo every Monday with your host Bryant and he makes it so much fun. The gang and I always look forward to seeing all the staff including Dougie so definitely ask for him. I highly recommend trying anything off the specials menu because it's never a disappointment. I was excited to try the ribs I love a good rack of ribs. They were setved with no save they just had the dry rub. They were way over cooked. They would just fall apart when you cut them. They did have a nice smoke ring but really lacked any smoke flavor. The dry rub was spicy with a lack of sweetness or even some salty flavor to go with the rib. I have to say Profile just fell flat on their ribs. I was really disappointed and hope they can find someone who actually knows how to do bbq. read more

Stopped in for dinner on a Thursday. They had a brisket special. 1/2 lb, of brisket w/ sauce on side, fries and "cowboy caviar" (corn, black beans and peppers, served cold). There are some things they absolutely nail, meat dishes amazing! Salads, delicious! There are lots of good menu options. For locals with limited options it is great to have a solid spot to get a great meal and see some live music too sometimes. Prices are up there. But seems more like the norm.
