Food service is variable, after using them satisfactorily for a couple years I ordered a steak sandwich for delivery. What I got looked like it was made from beef that had been run through the dishwasher. I gave up on them for a couple years because of this and decided to give them another chance recently. To be fair the food was always good so I kept ordering until recently when I ordered a sandwich for delivery. Luana, the delivery driver called me to buzz her into the front door of the apt. complex I live in and I waited and I waited but she never came to my apartment door. As I was calling G&S to report a non-delivery the online status showed my order as delivered and I stood there empty handed. The guy on the phone heard me say to a neighbor that lives on the first floor that was coming off the elevator as I watched with my sandwich. Just tried this place for the first time. First off, the owner was extremely kind to us as soon as we came through the door. Something different in this day and age. My wife got the Italian sub and I got a cheeseburger plate with fries. My wife loved her sub as it was packed with meat and toasted just right. My burger plate was well worth $10. It tasted like a giant Whopper without the overly fake broiled taste. While we were waiting, the owner brought us over some baklava to try and chatted with us for a while. So we stopped to grab a salad on the way home. Cutting through it, the green peppers had end rot. Listen, cut that part off if you're going to serve rotten food. So we ask for our money back, the owner came up to me yelling at me about the peppers, went to the next table and asked for a pepper out of their salad, brought it over to me, spitting at me, flipping out about the rotten pepper. Too bad, because we've been in many times and I reminded him of that while he lost his cool with me..this complaint is with the owner. WRONG! while ordering one pizza and a a pasta dish that was just a "repeat" from my order history, (ziti, chicken, broccoli alfredo), I received just ziti and alfredo sauce, no chicken, no broccoli. I was promptly told that because I placed the order on the G&S Pizza website that it was my error and they were not responsible If I wanted another delivery it would be a new order and another charge I DECLINED The first delivery of the evening came courtesy of Dominic and we were happy include a 5.00 gratuity on a 26.00 dollar order which included a 3.00 delivery fee. When order was received I opened a hot container of ZITI and alfredo sauce ONLY!. I immediately called to mention and was incorrect in Stating, WHY WOULD I ORDER Chicken/ Broccoli Alfredo and Ziti with NO CHICKEN OR BROCCOLLI ? Response was WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT YOU ORDER ON LINE AND THE MISTAKE WAS ON YOUR END. Even the containers it comes in are Not the cheap containers . Utensils are strong . They also give Syrian bread on the side The next day I went to order take out and the customer service was excellent.
