I can't afford a lot of things they sell but it's my go to when I'm looking for a special gift for people I adore because I know I'm buying something that has lasted a lifetime and will continue to last. You pay for quality and rare finds. It's also just really fun to browse and ultimately find a little something you didn't know you were looking for. Some Etsy sellers price vintage Levi's at $50 some at $250. That's the way businesses operate. If you're down for some eye stimulating treats, a 60's lampshade to build your room design around or a pair of sterling silver earrings from the 70s that you saw in an old family photo album, this place will be a . More packed here than any of those other places. I was (and still am) a bit confused... I guess the whole building is known as "Tilton & Cook Market Place" but each floor is a different owner.. or rather it's a business that rents out space to vintage/thrift stores. On the first floor I was told there were 5 different owners, but it's really hard to figure out whose stuff is whose and if you're entering another "store". Just remember where you got stuff. There is also a place to eat and relax on the first floor which is pretty cute, but I didn't look at the menu cause I wasn't hungry. People there were pretty nice. You really have to go digging around here (or in some areas). I was only able to get to the second floor... I think I was there for about 2hrs... there is just so much stuff! (I didn't even finish the second floor). From my understanding, each floor is its own "shop" (except for the first floor). But no one seems to have their own name... just "Tilton & Cook Market Place" or "Tilton & Cook Corp". Make sure to bring lots of cash... no one in the building can take credit/debit. And at last, the days and hours for these shops are all the same. I could be wrong on a few things here, but this is all what I gathered and understood. Im definitely gonna have to return. Such a great find!

Type of place where you have to turn sideways at times to get by things. I'm not sure what the building was built for originally but it is obviously has been around for a while. The inside is basically several small rooms stuffed with stuff. All kinds of antiques, linens, old signs, clothing, furniture and plenty of cool knick knacks and doo dads. Things seem to move in and out quickly so every trip is a new adventure. The folks that work here are pleasant and friendly and let you take your time and look around without bothering you. That's a good thing because there is a lot to look at even though it's all in a small area. Mundane and common things mixed in with the unusual. The last time we happened by we saw a reproduction antique sink that was exactly what we were looking for. The price ended up being substantially lower than on line catalogs we were looking at. It was easy to install and works and looks great. A pleasant and unexpected find in a cool little store.
